Went to meet up with Joyce and got passed some strawberry pocky from Singapore~ :O~~~~~~~

Just saw Fantasia and Fantasia 2000 (told to watch by Isibata-sensei). First off... The original Fantasia... WHAT THE HELL IS THAT FROM 1940?! *Goes to cry in a dark corner* No seriously... nevermind the quality of animation that's so.... Disney quality, the harmony and synch with the orchestra symphony was something I took note of too. I've seen some sequences of it as a kid (dancing elephants, hippos and crocs being one of em), long forgotten so kinda mentally squealed upon seeing my old favorites~ The bad thing about the original was that it was so darn LONG. Over 2 hours and some sequences were a tad too slow (almost nod off to sleep). But that was definitely something that I could pick out lots of tips from. Now the 2000 remake of Fantasia... The 3D flying whale sequence (The Pines of Rome) was nice in all, but why in the world did they have to use 3D for the characters? Somehow, just somehow the 'natural' feel of them that could've been animated using Disney's fantastic, traditional 2D animation, but no.... 3D animation just looks too.... perfect. I'm biased against 3D animation (ESPECIALLY when it comes to creature/ human characters *fumes & stamps on the word 3D*) because of that very fact. Of course, Disney has to be given a lot of credit for trying their best to make their 3D whales look as natural as possible, but I could STILL feel the flawed perfection (<-- does that even make sense...). It might've been so much better if they stuck to 2D animation. Oh. And as usual, Disney's natural backgrounds = O_________O. 3 pieces I like best : 'The Pines of Rome' (I like the idea of flying whales & the backgrounds were absolutely stunning aside from my grudge against the 3D animated characters), 'The Carnival of Animals' (pure entertainment with a bunch of musical flamingoes + yoyos~, I liked that particular piece of music too), and 'The Firebird' (Now THIS... this is the kind of animation that wants to make me land up at Disney. Unfortunately, there are far more kiddish cartoons I wouldn't want to do, overshadowing it). The last one, 'The Firebird' certainly made the closing of Fantasia all the more magical (I'm a sucker for this sort of story, me being me). Visually appealling, and will leave a lot of jaws on the ground~

That aside, *rips own hair out* I've got plenty to think about now that I've finally seen those 2 animations. I was also told to see Watership Down, but I've already seen it once and didn't like it much (characters and story). Oh well... at least no one bursts into a song... (no. 1 thing that really turns me off in an animation)

Hmmm some other Disney titles I might want to pick up on DVD:
- Chicken Run
- The Emperor's New Groove
- The Incredibles

Suddenly I crave for calamari.............. ヲ |~~~~

Mel Gibson has a freak'in nice voice. Beautiful eyes too.

Hmmm... went down to discuss the animation planning with Takeda-sensei... not that I don't agree with what he says, but I just can't grasp what he gets it.. >_< Ack. In the end I didn't get it, and had a 2 hour-long discussion with Ishibata-Sensei (again, I'm always bothering her)

Also, researches found actual blood vessel and fossilized blood cells within a Tyrannosaurus Rex (forgot to post this way back). I'm as excited as the paleontologists themselves (big dinosaur freak since the age of 4 or earlier). How in the world soft tissue stay intact for more than 65 million years is a pretty big issue in itself, but whoa... Rex.... .... REX............................. *sparkles* Just how much will we know from this groundbreaking discovery? Just how much more will be revealed in the next few years? Brings back pleasant memories of when Jurassic Park was made. What a dream come true for Sycia... though she didn't like Tyrannos portrayed as a senseless killer out to attack every and any human. Although... there's also a slight worry; just how many idiots will want to recreate the Rex should the complete DNA be found / reconstructed from this find? Just which morons will want to play God and mess with life that is already long gone and replaced with a completely different ecosystem supporting vastly different creatures that have adapted over time after the dinosaurs' mass extinction? Though I would love to see dinosaurs in the flesh just as much, what's gone is gone for good reason. Their time is over. Plus I don't like the idea of a creature resurected only to live its entire life being studied and researched. What sort of a life is that? That is a selfish deed done only to satisfy the curiousity of Man.

There's a dino-exhibition going on in Tokyo right now, featuring the biggest Rex ever found (o_O named Sue). As a kid, my impression of the word 'museum' was a place filled with gigantic fossils of the ancient rulers of the land. So imagine my utter diappointment when my parents took me to the local one (nothing but antiques). Was quite bitter, if I recall correct... then around the mid 1990's, some famous dinosaur-fossil exhibition came to Singapore and I was in utter bliss. Mom didn't want to go, and my Lil Sis was too young, so I went with Dad (>_< can't remember if Lil Bro came along). My books were mainly encyclopedias, or animal / nature / dinosaur related material from young (like say... 4 onwards?), and only quite recently I realized how much more I knew regarding animals / the natural world compared to the average Joe (Mom's always been amazed at how I could name specific species of animals / birds / insects etc from documentaries even before they were named, but I thought that was only because she was never interested in this kind of thing at all). Well, I'd rather immerse myself into knowledge of this sort rather than anything related with people... is this why I am alone, yet not feel lonely? Anyway, back to that Tokyo dinosaur exhibition... I'd be more willing to go if they had more fossils on display...

Hmmm.... when are the sakura gonna bloom? *Waits with camera in hand*

Semi-rant on humans (for the first time in half a year?) coming up. Go away if you don't like this stuff.

Heard about the quake in Southeast Asia... And I see scared reactions of people who experienced one for the first time in their lives. Which reconfirms what I felt the first time one occured after I arrived in Japan. Joy. More than anything, it was a definite novelty. I didn't really understand why others who also experienced an earthquake for the first time were peeing in their pants (metaphorically), but I guess I do now. The novelty has pretty much worn off to something near apathy whenever one occurs (which is, at least once a month in this country). Earthquakes are quite something. The sheer power of Mother Nature, humans cannot overcome. People don't like to hear that (I get told to shut up for speaking something that's true, and people welcome white lies or denial hah). They like to believe they are in control of everything, and that anything 'bigger' than they are, they will eventually conquer. I like wake-up calls to remind humans of their puny place, no better than a one-celled bacteria. Fear is something they like to call 'primal'. And there's the saying, "you fear what you don't understand". But there is one thing humans will fear even if they have complete knowledge of: pain (or suffering, if you might). The very force that drives all living creatures to do what they do; survive. Out in the wild pain is usually associated /followed with death, hence even in our modern-day society, the majority of people fear death without doubt or any other reason (which I do find pathetic, but something thatshould be pardoned with reason). I don't fear death. But yes, I fear pain. I do not believe there is a single being out there that does not (unless you want to count people who have lost their functionality of the nervous system). Death and pain are a combination carved so deep into the minds of all animals (including the plague humans), it's difficult to break from of what drives your system.

... kinda think of it, I wasn't scared the first time I was almost killed.

Also, you know a country is seriously racist in several aspects when you go to more than one property agent and get told, "No pets or foreigners". So much for opening up to the world outside.

Neighbour's moving out. Finally... no more moaning coming through the thin walls... *crosses fingers* >_< Hope my new neighbour doesn't do the same.

It still never fails to amaze me why smoking isn't banned EVERYWHERE. Then again, stupidity can be refreshing in ways one never knew. I fully support the universal ban on smoking. If not for the smokers themselves (who I feel should just drop dead on the spot), the innocents.

.................. >_<

Woke up at 9am!!!!!!!!!!! >_< Duh!!! *Bangs head on table* From waking up to arriving at the train station after cycling at breakneck speed through a slight drizzle... it only took me.. 6 minutes. o_o A record; usually I take 30 minutes to prepare for school and another 15 to cycle to the station. The drizzle turned into rain while on my way on the train, so I kidnapped a forgotten pink umbrella left near where I sat. Crap... holding it was embarrassing enough (I feel as good as an MCP forced to carry one), but Sycia = practical. Rain. I use umbrella. No matter what dumb color it is.Arrived in school at about 10am... Argh. First lesson of animation with the new lecturer and I had to be late *hits self over head*

Nakasa-san has a bad tooth... o_O And she didn't get or ask for any medicine from the dentist she visited (Sycia goes duh?).

Anyway, went down to show Takeda-sensei the new plan I wrote up for that final project I'm doing (with lotsa material). Also let him hear the piece of music I'm using. He said it was all good, but pointed out one very important thing I was missing... the 'animation' didn't have an edge over live action film, so told me to think it through on what I wanted to show through animation. :o I value his advice. It's not that what I plan doesn't have an edge over live-action film, I just hadn't given it that much though or written it down. Either way, Takeda-sensei said what I wanted to do wasn't bad, and he commended what I had a mind with all the image-boards, print-outs and material I brought (plus my digital camera with that photograph of 'Good Morning Tokyo' as referance for the morning sky).

While on the train back, some middle-eastern guy sitting opposite was clutching his tweet. Why, I don't know, nor the hell would I want to, but goddamit do that fuckshit somewhere private. I'm only grateful he was staring up into empty space, not looking at me or my yapp'in happy pink umbrella would have found a permanent spot in his groin..

"Children ask better questions than do adults. 'May I have a cookie?'
'Why is the sky blue?' 'What does a cow say?' are far more likely to
elicit a cheerful response than 'Where's your manuscript?' 'Why
haven't you called?' and 'Who's your lawyer?'"

Crap. Woke at 5pm. ッ_ッ 2nd week into school and my internal clock is screwed again. This is a photograph of that sunrise I was talking about~ ^___^

Good Morning, Tokyo
Good morning Tokyo~
: ) FULLVIEW please.

I was up the whole of last night (can't remember what the heck I was doing), and was going to bathe at 6:00am, when i saw this beautiful sunrise.... O_O I could NOT let this chance slip, seeing how the sky was unusually fair and the clouds were so purdy. Snapped 7 pictures, most of which also caught part of the building I was in, and I had to stick half my body out the window to get this shot. ^____^ *So happy*
Photoshop; A little brightness & contrast, hue + saturation adjustment, border + text.

Anyway, regarding the FMA trailer, what a lota comments... this is what you get when posting during US internet peak hour... ^^ If anyone wants to discuss, theorize stuff about it, feel free to drop me an email.

Also, just finished up Samurai Champloo a short while ago (at last). o_O Where the heck did that sheer volume of Jin's hair sprout out from!? When he ties it up, his lock looks so darn thin... *Looks at other female fans fangirling away at Jin* o_O The mysteries of his hair.... o_O

ARGH! There goes my sleep AGAIN. Went to bathe at 6 something (morning), saw a beautiful sunrise, spent some time snapping (will post later) then showered, and prepared to sleep... but...

- Sudden story mode - A couple of days back, I read on a Japanese bulletin board that the official Hagaren movie site had been updated with the 3rd NEW trailer with some other content, then suddenly all of it got taken down, like they updated it too early by mistake or something.

.... SOMEONE SAVED THE TRAILER. And just 2 hours ago, another person (cutewitch) posted a link to it in the forums. New. Trailer. Many. Action. Scenes. With. MANY. Spoilers. And. Treats. Sycia. SCREAMS. Screencaps. Mirrors. Posts. Translates. SQUEES. Then joins other fans in mad speculation and discussion.

.... and it's almost 10 in the morning... I've not slept. I was right about to when I got to know of the trailer... so... X_X

New Movie Trailer!

Credit goes to cutewitch for posting the link.

MAJOR Spoilers ahead
Please do not continue on if you haven't seen till the end of the anime series!

A new trailer of the Fullmetal Alchemist movie: Conqueror of Shambala! This time we actually get to see more of the world the movie is based in, with action sequences. Also, what SEEMS to be the movie's theme song is being played in the background; I don't know what songs L'Arc~en~Ciel have or have not performed, so I cannot confirm this.

NOTE: This trailer was uploaded to the official Japanese movie site (link]) along with some other new content, then suddenly removed according to some Japanese bulletin boards, but fortunately, someone saved the trailer JUST in time.

My apologies if some lines sound weird... I didn't want to compromise the accuracy of direct translation...

Hmmm. Now I am convinced Al is posing as Ed to gain information on how to open / go through the Gate... Very excited about the movie, but all that excitement has suddenly turned into fatigue. I'll go sleep now. x_X

On a side note, I wonder if the Japanese folks knew (especially from official sites), would they be panicking and asking we take it down... Hmmm then again there seems no point now that so many people have downloaded it and I've already translated what was said... BWAHA YER SECRET'S OUT. NEVER UNDERESTIMATE FANS!!!!!!

Saw the picture of Ed, and went fangirling on the spot (.... gawd I hope no one saw me.. -_-||||) <--- hopefully this is the last time. Roy looks great too (whoa badass with an eyepatch... ヲ q~). In fact Riza looks fabulous too. All of them are nice except... Al... o_O; Who just weirds me out for the moment... Someone pointed out Roy and Riza's ranks in the scans.... o_O They got demoted. WAAAAAAY demoted.

I hope someone makes nice wallpapers with the scans I provided... >_< *wants that Ed on desktop* >_< Long hair is.... long hair is....!!!!

... *smacks self*

Must.... stop... fangirling.... *headbangs on keyboard* Dammit... BONES why did you have to draw him so ... sexy?! >_<

*AHEM* It's weird to be up so early and home on a Saturday...

=============================

Saw a beautiful sunset.
I wanted to reach for it.
So I ran forth to catch up.
Pursue as I tried, darkness came faster...
Light slipped from view...
Warm breeze turned to icy wind,
Stars came to play,
The moon ruled skies.
And sunset was gone for this night.
She will come again tomorrow,
As I will lose to night again.
But one day, we will run alongside to the ends of this plane.

End of shool's first week into the 2nd year~ Phew. It was... cold today. Wind was blowing hard 'n cold. Nakasa-san had a toothache and went home halfway through (o_O).

Was talking a lot more to Hasegawa-san today... she came over to speak to me (something that hardly happens to a loner, so I'm o_O). Seems she wants to go to Singapore quite badly. I'd love to show her around, but I'm intending to stay here. oo; Maybe in the future, I can take a trip there with her (as a 'seasoned' tourist around the island hehe).

Was discussing a certain issue with Joyce and I realize that when speaking with people my age or older... though I can maintain a conversation, I still feel so... outta place. Like everyone's on their way to conventional 'adulthood' (or already there) but I simply refuse to jump into the wagon. No qualms with that, since I'm so used to being alone in just about everything, it's nothing I bother taking notice much of anymore. Exceptions to this of course, would be my immediate family (except Dad) and closest friends.

Oh... Tsubasa - Reservoir Chronicles (anime) is starting on the 9th of April (Saturday).... o_O That channel decided to stop showing the Cardcaptor Sakura rerun and went straight for the big one~ Not a big fan of Clamp stories... but I guess I'll catch it IF I remember.

Getting my Hagaren ticket + postards with stand... ^_________^ The official anime series site posted another picture of the postcards where you can actually see more of each character. OMG HAWT ED. I think I'll become a girl temporarily tomorrow.... O_O The official Hagaren movie site has also been updated with a new picture (enlarged from one of them postcards), and now we know it's Al who's wearing that red coat... o_O WtF is going on. Al trying to be Ed?

Also... I think I'm dehydrating a little too much... Keep forgetting to consume water bah!

Crimson Sweetness

I'm so happy with how this latest photograph turned out (for those of you who don't already know, I post random photographs daily here). It actually looks somewhat professional, for one... considering the haphazard methods I used for lighting and low-spec camera utilized... ^_^; Bought a pack of strawberries this afternoon after deciding what my next random-photo of the day would be, then got a wee-bit too into it all. Lay my berries down on white paper, with more white paper to block out the backbround (strangely my camera blended 3 obviously seperated pieces of paper into 1...) and tested various angles and light sources. Took about 12 shots and decided on this. Really I didn't edit the color, brightness or contrast in Photoshop at all (only used it to add the text and black border). They were that red. Though.... the buncha of em did fool me. I was all prepared to have _sweet_ strawberries after the snap-session, but their stark color was a lie~ No matter. I love photography. Certainly more than just going around snapping at anything and everything without a purpose.

Sometimes, the cluelessness of people really wants to make me laugh... Cute from a certain point of view...

Since class starts at 1:20pm on Wednesdays, I hopped down to Akihabara (again) to get an extra ticket to TAF for Joyce. Had some sushi for lunch. Orientation for background class was... boring? We were told to sketch our cellular phones... Had a talk with Ishibata-sensei and let her hear the opening song for my final animation project. She too, agreed it was a fantastic piece of music, but pointed out it was too long as a mere opening. Has an hour-long discussion with her about the animation project and was advised to dump the whole 'story-telling' idea with my intended project and stick with a simple theme, with QUALITY animation, timing, backgrounds etc etc packed into the 2min 24s of music playing in the back. I have to admit, doing what I intially wanted to do (a whole 'epic' story) would just be suicide, with obvious drop in quality, so I'll take her advice and focus on making a short, but fluid and professional animation.

御意見を聞かせて頂いて、有難う御座いました、石渡先生!

Shibata-sensei's the teacher I have the most respect for~ ^^

By the time I left for home, it was raining cats and dogs, temperatures at a sudden 6 degrees (C).Thank goodness... with spring breaking, it's been getting sickeningly warmer by the day (17 in the day RAH, 13 at night) and I can't sleep much because of it (everyone in school goes WHAT? when I I tell them that). Tonight I will snooooooze well~ Summer will be worse you say? Hah. I'd be too heat-exhausted not to pass up sleep.

New animes to look out for... Trinity Blood and Basilisk. Too lazy to read up what they're about in my magazine... but since Samurai Champloo is over, I've gotta find some other way to entertain myself when my head isn't buried in stacks of animation cells.

ARGH!!!!! *melts and diessssss*

My digital camera devours battery life like a monster...

:D White-haired chibi finally appeared in Bleach! Looking very outta place too. So far the anime's sticking close to the manga.. I wonder what'll happen to the story when it catches up...

First real day of school was... sleepy. We were supposed to do group-work, but we couldn't get anything done since the storyboard wasn't out, so... a lot of us took naps just to pass time... Oh, and I found out Yanou-san is a huge Cowboy Bebop fan... o_O She's so big on it, can I say... 'burning'? Yoneda-san and I seem to be the only ones of the group who've seen Excel Saga (puchuu~?)... Back when I saw it, I was still new to anime (that was in 2001 I think?). I knew nearly zilch of Japanese, and the subtitles had been in Mandarin, not to mention it's a pretty random anime, so me not understanding much of what was going on was quite expected. I didn't know the producer of it is a graduate from my curretn school (kinda comforting, but at the same time, SO disturbing thought).

Another shooting. Hm. With all the crap about censoring all kinds of cartoons, programmes, animes over in the US, it doesn't seem to be improving their situation any. Yet with much less censorship over in Japan, it's one of the safest countries in the world. I say the people over in the west should shut up on censorship issues and focus on changing their culture first.

And speaking of shooting, I'm for gunning down every DAMN SMOKER around. *Swears* Or fling em up into the sun or a whole planet for themselves to slowly murder each other and not get us non-smokers (non tabacco contaminated folks) killed because of their STUPID addiction.

Meeting Joyce on Thursday when she comes back to Tokyo... gotta get myself a stopwatch, have to buy her ticket to TAF tomorrow too.

--Feeling?---|---Hungry--
-
Whew. For the first time in almost a week, I actually slept in bed (been resting/ resting my head on my work table all the while for a few hours at a go)... and even when I slept at night yesterday (okaaay... so it was 3am), was still too exhausted to wake up and go to that horse place even. -_- It wasn't much of a willpower battle, I just couldn't stand up straight to shut both alarm clocks off (wobbling with eyes almost closed). Continued snoozing.... all the way till 5:30pm O_O That's more than 14 hours of sleep.... Well.... at least I'm no longer dozing off every 15 minutes....

Hmmm... since I couldn't make it to the horse thingie, I'll practise drawing em later...

Started watching Scrapped Princess. It makes good research in the fantasy anime genre... And I like the ending song... The animation to it is so appropriate~ ^_^ Also... understanding weird terms of a fantasy show in a foreign language is challenging...

.... *scratches head* Now why in the world did I get Air... Haven't seen it, but scrolling through the videos to check em quality.... looks like another dating simulation anime ャ__ャ (Like Tsukihime). Ah well.... I guess I'll give it a go before saying anything more... Good thing is, so many people want the latest episode, I'll have no problem getting any other anime (got AIR within a few hours, even the latest episode :o, and all episodes of both seasons of Full Metal Panic! & Full Metal Panick? Fumoffu within 2 days.) Trading is wonderful when you've got the latest episodes of popular anime... :X At the moment I'm trying to get the last and final episode of Samurai Champloo (26) so I can dump it into a DVD. Didn't want to watch 25 without 26, so... *wait & hugs her connection*

EDIT:
Finished Scrapped Princess. It's definitely above average. Great anime (one can't expect anything less from BONES), nice background story and world history, but I felt the characters could have been developed further.

--Feeling?---|---Weirded out--
-
Another sleepless night as I was designing characters for a present animation project.

Also, I finally remembered to get Full Metal Panic at long last. Still downloading it, but I did see the very first episode (1st season)...

Allow me to freak out at the locations drawn into the anime...

O___________________O

Now let me show you why I freaked out:

Anime's station and school's overview

... Now... picture of a station & school near me...

The anime did change the name of the train station and school they used for reference, though not that much... O_O I was pretty shocked this morning after watcing that first episode, and went down to those 2 places to confirm (well actually, more of the school. There's no mistaking that train station since I go there everyday). :D It's fun to have the place you live in featured in anime~

And... went down to school to meet up with Miyo-san and Yanou-san and discuss the project a little. Also tweaked my character designs after some opinions were voiced (thank goodness these 2 people are of the few who can actually form opinions into words). Then hopped over at Akihabara to get a ticket to the Tokyo International Animation Fair. I had meant to go for last year's, but it so happened I was to move on that particular day. Hmm wonder if Joyce is going...

Now... I finally have some time for myself... *goes off to make icons*

-
Okay, now that my mind's more awake... somehow... I've become less tired, and ... alert. o_O I don't mind being noturnal, but school's in the day. Was so tired this morning I could fall asleep standing up in the train and still be in full control of balancing myself amidst sudden stops and jerks without holding onto anything.

Hasegawa-san was down with a very bad case of allergy to the pollen in the air (spring thing). I... don't feel anything? Maybe it only affects people with sensitive noses (like Mommay).

.... ARGH. Got the music for my opening animation sequence... but doing a storyboard to match it is gaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrhh*!&$)(!&$*! While I've got the inspiration, I also need to bare in mind that there are limits to what I can do with it (especially in this case since I've got a deadline).

:D Also, I've found my image song (or melody). ^____^

"Men are self-confident because they grow up identifying
with superheroes. Women have bad self images because
they grow up identifying with Barbie."

--Feeling?---|---Exhausted--
-
Very... very tired... did not sleep last night. Brought them 200 pieces of animation (4 types of sports) to school only to find out we're supposed to hand it in on the 22nd. That means I rushed, and skipped sleep for several days over nothing. Then again, now that I'm free of that piece of work, I can concentrate on other things. Since I had brought the stack of animation cells to school, decided to test view em. Will make changes to the timings later, but animation-wise I don't think there's anything to fix up. Took a 4 hour nap just now, but still extremely lethargic inside...

The whole course was given last terms results. I had initially been worried, but according to the teacher, I had done okay (3 Bs, 5 As, no Cs!). I'm surprised... A for my scenario class when I couldn't finish the final assignment (I tried my best, but it seems I had far too much to describe in my stage direction, and in the end could only finish writing up 3/4 of an anime episode...

:D I wanna try this ball out one day....

New anime / anime I've not finished watching:
- AIR (Currently downloading outta curiousity, series still airing)
- Bleach (series still ongoing)
- Chrno Crusade (:X not finished with it yet)
- Last Exile (:X DVDs lying around)
- Samurai 7 (done watching 18 episodes...)
- Samurai Champloo (series still ongoing)
- Scrapped Princess (Have all the episodes, just haven't started)
- Wolf's Rain (>_<; Still have half the series to go)

.... that's a lot of anime I've yet to finish up... I should catalog what I have at present... *sweatdrops*

This paper bag's from the convenience store opposite where I live... I only noticed the Engrish yesterday... o_O What's FEVER FOOD?

Hmmm so I stayed up till about 9 this morning, took a 3-hour nap, and went back to work again. This time I'm doing a golf swing animation sequence. Thank goodness for reference video clips. I never knew golf packed so much into the first swing. Now how people sprain their backs doing this supposedly 'relaxing sport' comes as no surprise... OUCH.

Going to have to fix my messed up sleep patterns over the weekend. School starts tomorrow... Getting last term's results back... erk I hadn't finished the final assignment for screenplay class and handed it in 3/4 done... hope I don't get pulled down too much. Fatigue hasn't quite set in yet... (mainly because I went hyper over finding Kaseshi-chan a few hours ago...), but I do feel slightly drowsy...

There were a few tremors this morning (6am? 5?) and now it seems like a storm's brewing outside. No matter to the hermit who's been locking herself up indoors for more than an entire week though...

Retook a photograph of this sketch assignment. The class was given 3 hours to go out and sketch a spot with markers (no pencils for guidelining, nothing). I finished in half the time. Thought this piece of mine turned out looking like crap but for some reason, when I brought it back to class, everyone who saw it even classmates I never spoke to, went gasping and giving far-out reactions. This is the only assignment I got an A for in that class. Weird since I think it doesn't look good at all. Oh well.

Downloaded Peace Maker Kurogane outta boredom, and am getting a little... edgy with the suggestive poses and expressions... It sure as hell didn't look like a Shoujo anime from what little I managed to catch on TV...! Bishounens here, pretty boys there... I really wonder how they can be so strong with such... lean bodies, or how they manage to tone their muscles at will (sometimes they can lie around beaten up, with such feminine-like bodies, but when taking a bath or something, muscles bulge). Incontinuity? Nevermind that... sometimes some guy holds up his wounded companion like .... er *sweatdrops* they're about to kiss? Practically overflowing with Uke and Seme-ness... oo I'm no Yaoi fan, but I try to view homsexuality with an open mind too. This... may have been a little too much for me. I did enjoy the Kyoto accented conversations (since it is based on Kyoto mostly). Definitely a challenge to understand, but hey it's fun~

XD Jin and Mugen play baseball in Samurai Champloo! Episode 23 was too entertaining~

Oops. Forgot to add a little dream I had between 1 - 2pm yesterday (originally woke up at 1, then snoozed some more since I slept at 7am)... Was on some field trip with my old class back in Japanese Language school, heading to... some mountain range. I was chatting with Detty, and I think the other Indonesian people were there too. Joyce wasn't exactly in the dream, but for some reason I remember her telling me there was some sort of secret spot with great scenery somewhere in the place my class was heading for, but she had also said there wasn't enough time to go to that place, unless I wanted to left behind or something. Still, I wanted to see the place (even had my digital camera with me), so right after the bus arrived at our destination, I jumped off and RAN all the way there, ignoring everyone else calling me back. Don't know how long I took, but WOW what a view did I get uponing reaching the spot. I had been standing on a grassy cliff overlooking a vast green valley that could easily be larger than the plains of Africa (don't know how to explain it, but it simply looked so .... ENDLESS). Yet in the distance I could barely make out towering mountains. Only saw that for a moment, because I had been running in too much excitement, and the next thing I knew, I was sliding down the cliff (must've slipped?). Good thing there was grass to cushion me. It was a pretty long way down and I was trying to hold my camera up (shouldn't I have been trying to avoid getting m body hurt instead?). After getting to the bottom, the vastness of the valley didn't seem that breathtaking any longer... In fact was lay before me looked more like 3D forested landscape from some game (Musou something?) when I looked through my camera. How it looked to my naked eye, I don't remember anymore. When running around trying to figure a way to get up, and found a tiny KFC outlet (lol). Asked the guy there how I could get back up; some kinda car / bus could ferry me there but I had to wait a couple of hours, and by then my class/ bus would've left. Remember feeling slightly anxious... end of dream. o_O Woke up with my heart pounding in my head.

And suddenly, being cornered and run through with a katana seems awfully tempting. Masocist indeed.

Also managed to download 2 random episodes of Swat Kats. Somehow I've lost the joy of watching it that filled me as a child as the opening played. Instead, I find myself comparing it, a classic example of US cartoons, to Japanese anime. Not to say I don't enjoy the show anymore, just that I have found another way to 'watch' it.

Also, tonight at 11pm on NHK BS-2, is that programme on Hagaren~~ ^_^ 楽しみに

"After silence that which some nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music."
- Aldous [Leonard] Huxley (1894 - 1964)

Originally intended to draw lots today, but I guess I got a little carried away with testing out Celtic tracks... ^^ Still am... and having a great emotional trip with the tunes~ ^_____^ This is perfect for washing away all negative emotions. Among some of the less desired stuff I downloaded was black metal (ャ_ャ cripes I hate it), African tribal music (?????), some game-like melodies, and some songs with vulgar lyrics (I don't keep anything with lyrics. Words would destroy the atmosphere). The first Celtic track I heard, that reminded me my love for all things Celt, was The Corr's Paddy Maccarthy (back in 1998?). Though quite contemporary and can be thought of as quite different from traditional style, the root of this song (no lyrics) rang out to my very soul and reawakened something. ^_^

I have found THE opening song for my animation (not of Ashley MacIsaac though). O_O Finally! And it's so moving (inspirational)... I couldn't really start on planning my animation simply because I couldn't find a song to start the opening sequence with, but now..... *rolls up sleeves*

Wow.... what a dream...

Started out as a normal day at school (main building). Handa-san and I were together, exiting the building to go home (at was about evening). Then suddenly we hear screams from somewhere that a huge white snake was attacking the school. Somehow I knew it was rampaging along the network of stairs, and we happened to be in the way. Dived into one of the toilets nearby as I felt tremors of the serpent approaching us, and stayed in there quietly till it passed. We stayed a while, deciding what to do (Handa-san was unusually calm). We eventually made a mad dash for the esit (ground level) and I had evenone close all entrances while we watched the huge snake slither up, down, across the school... didn't know if there was anyone else in there at the time, so someone eventually concluded we should let the huge white snake out (its head was as large as a small car, relatively short body in comparison, like 8 - 12 meters). Everyone stood clear of the only entrance to be opened and that thing just... flew out. o_o After that someone (>_< forgot) said it would come back, this time as a large eagle, to terrorize us. I volunteered to fight it back, and it seemed no one was surprised that I could transform into some sort of great eagle (o_O no, wait. They 'reminded' me I could). I turned into one, and like in all other dreams, had a LOT of trouble taking off (I think this time, particularly so because my eagle form was as large as a person, with a wingspan of maybe 6 meters... ), so hopped up a tree to get enough lift, flew up to the roof of the school building, and waited for that other thing to come. After a while it arrived, as a crimson eagle slightly smaller than mine (its form looked slightly more hawk-like). Took off to engaged in a mid-air battle over the people below. Don't remember much of it, but I had noticed my enemy was a LOT faster and agile than any natural bird could be. Finally realized it was a spirit I was fighting against, and there wasn't a chance I'd win in physical combat. Again, I can't remember what happened later, but I (still as an eagle) managed to talk the angry thing outta it and send it on its way to wherever it was supposed to go. Not before it warned me of another like itself somewhere else. Also went on my way to get rid of that one somewhat peacefully (can't remember... too fuzzy).

o_O I'm a ghostbuster in my dreams.

Ashley MacIsaac.... hmmm contemporary, daring Celtic music. ^____^ Never thought I'd find an artiste I like outta character image songs from a manga. *Goes to listen to song samples on Amazon. FIDDLERS FOREVER~ ^_^

Last night I got a little ticked by someone for assuming things, but thinking about it I shouldn't give a shit really. Not worth the energy.

Bayu-chan came 30 minutes late, but I expected that and came with a manga to occupy myself with. I was freezing though. Strong wind... >_<

Hmmmm... sukiyaki is... sweet. o_O If not for the beaten raw egg that you're suppose to dip your food into just before eating it, I might not have been able to stomach all that. Still, it was a good meal. Ate plenty of vegetables (I LURVE CABBAGE). Bayu-chan seemed pretty tickled after I told him about that BL mp3 I downloaded by accident. Kept poking fun at me on that and went on trying to get me to play a BL game with him. あいつ、頭大丈夫? オレ別にいいんだけど、 他の奴に聞くと絶対ぇクヱヤ野郎だと思われる。 Then he insisted I watch Kyou kara Maou (volunteered to lend me the CDs even oO). Er.... not my kinda anime, but if he lends, I'll give it a shot I suppose... o_O It's shown at a kids' timeslot, so I don't think it's anything too offensive to me.

Since he had to go to work at 5pm, decided to entertain him a little till 4. 一人にするとかわいそうだし… He went clothes shopping. o_O Anyone close to me knows how I hate being dragged around clothes shopping. The shop he went into, however... had clothes that caught my eye (guys' clothes, nonetheless; coats/ tops). Didn't mind spending 15 minutes there while Bayu-chan tried on a few coats (... better than some time some girl kept me in a bleed'in shop for 3 f**king hours just trying on stuff *fumes*). I have a much MUCH better sense of fashion/ style when it comes to men's clothing. 逆に自分が着たいなぁ、 と思った. He got a coat that I swear derived its design from a priest's... Still it looked good~ Bayu-chan was happy about the investment (even happier that the second opinion was quite a favor), then decided to get some dye for his crown. Talk about a change in image. クメI オレまで髪の毛を染みたくなってしまった!

NEXT! YAKINIKU!

あぁ、そして前回、バユちゃんの温泉の話の続きだが、いつか

Came back to get my hair cut (at last) and quite nearly fell asleep in the chair. :X

Rukia's theme song (decided by the manga artist) is a celtic one! O_O *Surprised* Downloaded every other character's, but it's only hers that seems celtic. Fast paced, kind edgy and a little sad. O_O AI LIEK. Celtic tunes weee~ There doesn't seem to be any Bleach personality test out there. Should I make one?

though we stand side by side in the same meadow, my eyes
will never see what is beheld by yours, my heart will never
stir to the emotion with which yours is touched."
