Asakura Hao from Shaman King. My current avatar. Like I, he hates humans with a passion. Like I, he aspires their extermination. Like I, he keeps his intentions locked secret behind a warm smile. Like I, he is a pyromaniac. Like I, he works dilligently towards his goal.Sycia (sai-sha) is a 20 year-old female living in Tokyo, Japan and studies at BIoL, and soon, TDG. She loves to draw, chat, hang out at online forums, shop alone, learn more of the internet, eat, sleep & just laze around whenever she can. Other hobbies include taking proper personality tests, 2D line animation, writing, and playing with animals. Religion means nothing to her; they are all the same basic belief that people should behave themselves among each other. Sycia has no mate, nor does she feel the need for one (or produce more humans to plague the planet). She loves animals & Nature, hates humans to the bone, thinks the world of her mother and wants to be just like Lina Inverse. Currently extremely healthy in the body (haven't got sick in years. No flu, no cold, no cough, nothing), twisted in head Asakura Yoh from Shaman King. The star of the series; your typical goodie-goodie-2-shoes slacker-lead who stands for almost everything good. Hao is his twin brother & his greatest enemy (well, anyone wanting the destruction of the human race would be). Alike, yet so different. (integrated MPD), tormented in the soul & schizophrenic in the heart. Languages understood: English, Japanese, Chinese, Hokkien, Teochew & Malay.

--Feeling?---|---Amused.--
-
Walking (more like limping) around Shinjuku alone is fun. I got 3 people coming up to me asking me weird stuff.

#1: Some young rather handsome guy handed me a lil piece of paper advertising an art exhibition (featuring some Final Fantasy artiste) to add to my already thick pile of brochures collected from walking about Shinjuku to get to Takashimaya. He asked me if I knew the works of some dolphin-drawing artiste (can`t recall the name). Said I did and that I like his/ her works. He proceeded to ask if I could go take a look at the exhibition since it was only a 3-minue walk from where we were. o___O Said I was busy (more like suspecting everything about him). So he tried to persuade me again. Sorry, I don`t have time (when in fact I really did). Before I went off, he asked in crude teenage Japanese, "What is that?" He pointed to my carved out dragon symbol on my arm. lol. A secret is what I replied him with. It would just raise too many unecessary questions if I told him the truth anyway. Ran off into the crowd after that. Weird guy. o__O I thought it was quite apparent that I wasn`t even good at Japanese, so he`d stop trying to talk to me. But that can`t beat the next person who stopped me for attention.

#2: I was at Kinokuniya (in Takashimaya) walking about looking for the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) workbooks. When some woman at the counter stopped me and spoke in Japanese.

Woman: *Hands Sycia a little booklet* Hello there Miss. Would you be interested in this course?
Sycia: Eh? *Looks at booklet*

- - - English Language Course - - -

Sycia: o___O;;; An English course..?
Woman: Yes. English is a useful asset nowadays.
Sycia: o___O;;; But... I can speak English.
Woman: Ah! I see. But just how good are you? Is your standard up to par?
Sycia: *thinking: duuuuuuhhh* Uh I`m not a Japanese so...
Woman: OH! You are from a country that uses English?
Sycia: Uh yeah... o_O;;;
Woman: Ah! I`m so sorry then!!!
Sycia: That`s alright. o__O;;;;

Thinking back, I should`ve spoken to her in that British English (complete with that accent) the moment she questioned by level of English. o___O;

#3: I was right in front of the JR line Shinjuku station when this kind-looking lady stopped me and asked around for directions. She was so nice and genki I felt so bad for telling her I didn`t know the place she was looking for since I ain`t from around here. ^^; Kept apologizing.

Yep. Walking around the city is fun when you meet weird people.

Woohoo. Later, Inuyasha at 7:00pm! Or was it 7:30pm? Joyce & Lina have gone with some other people to Karaoke, but I sure as hell wasn`t interested so opted to come to the internet cafe instead.

Tomorrow`s Midori no Hi (public holiday). There goes my so called Golden Week (supposed 1 week break for students and working adults, but our school doesn`t give us that, only 2 days off). Joyce and I were studying for the most part of yesterday so dilligently; any more of it yesterday and my head might have just exploded from the barrage of vocabulary to be remembered. Now we truly have no lives.

Oh, and yesterday morning I remembered (in my sleep) that Mom uses some pastic container to cook rice in the mocrowave oven. Asked her to send that thing (which costs less than US.40) over. No way am I going to get some digital rice-cooker here for more than US.00. No way. Everything here`s so digital and hi-tech (and expensive) I can`t even find a simple electric kettle or non-digital rice-cooker. o____O;

夕方屋上で空を見る事が大好き。平和だったり楽だね。色色な物が考えられる。 (I like sitting on the roof, looking at the sky in the evening. Peaceful & relaxing. Get to think over a lot of stuff too. ^^)

Ah, and one last note. Everyone here is too normal for my liking. I say I want a katana (the teacher was asking what each of us wanted today) and everyone freaks. -_- Boring people. Everyone else said the normal stuff; cars, money, boyfriends/ girlfriends, washing machines, fridges. ARGH!!!! WHY AREN`T THERE ANY INTERESTING HUMANS HERE?! I am going to just rot outta boredom! Sassin knows how I feel! >< No offence to Yumi-san, but everytime she goes on about makeup and clothes I just want to slit my own throat in frustration. -__- And she gives the normal reaction to my self-mutilation (the carved-out dragon symbol). Not that I mind that much but she`s starting to over-react too much. *Rolls eyes* Help. Or kill me. Before I start rotting outside-in mentally.

--Feeling?---|---Weirded out by my hair.--
-
Okay, my hair has gone Yuna-styled again. o__O

Carved out that dragon symbol I designed on my arm. Yumi-san saw it and freaked; she kept saying I need to see a shrink.

It`s been a hectic few days, working my ass off trying to remember a ton of words. I get way too tired to do anything else after that.

My god! It`s been a loooong time since I`ve seen him anywhere online!

... Sis... where are you? Did you get my letter? oo Waiting for your reply...

Currently I`m appreciating it everytime he calls. I feel so happy after that cos these days I feel like I`ve been brought down to the damned normal level. -.-

--Feeling?---|---Weirded out,--

School? It`s alright I guess. Really, the overwhelming sense of normality here is threatening to burst my mind out.

Asked the sensei if my level was alright (like I said before I`m in one of the better classes) and she said I was fine. Hmm. I wonder if she was just saying that to make me feel happy. But then again, whether that was true or not doesn`t change the fact that I wil work hard.

Attended a dorm-mate`s party last night. Plenty of people, noise, blarring music & wine to go arund. ^^ After drinking sake, red wine is NOTHING! I could drink so much of it, not get drunk and stay awake to stay for more than 3 hours! ^^ Got paired up with someone (who plays the guitar and Sepah Taruoh (?) very very well). >< Didn`t help that I turned beet-red in the face then.

--Feeling?---|---Amazed at how stupid people can be...--
-
Hmmm, saw Getbackers episode #28 or so. Not bad. At least it was better than the first 3 episodes I saw. Hoshi Souichirou`s character... XD That okama... XD Also saw Gundam Seed on Saturday night. Since the previous episode I saw was nothing but a damned recap of everything, this one was a relief. No idiotic robot fighting. It was the first time the 2 main characters met face-to-face after a long separation (oddly enough, both of them were brought together again by a robot bird?). That scene intrigued me. If the rest of Gundam Seed were like this, I really wouldn`t mind watching it. Also, the latest episode of One Piece. o__O That was Luffy`s shortest fight ever. Some spring-y guy just bounced around Luffy like a pinball and the latter landed a solid punch in his face. Fight over. o__O

Was on the rooftop watching the sunset, listening to some quiet songs. The nights here are pretty bright cos of the low uniform cloud cover (gloomy days, hello). All the artificial lighting just gets reflected back and around.

Daryl: Scan those pictures damn you!

How boring. Yumi-san asked when I would get married. I answered I didn`t want to, and she gave me a shocked face (she wasn`t the only one, mind you). She asked why, and I said I didn`t need, or want to. More shocked faces (even Sensei...). No offense to Yumi-san, but this is really annoying. Humans. How predictable. "I want to get married and have kids!" is practically on everyone`s dull mind and unmistakeably their ultimate life goal! Now I can read everyone like a damned book!

People at age 1 - 13: Goal = Have fun!
People at age 14 - 18++: Goal = Find a temporary mate (aka get laid & test stuff out etc)
People at age 19 - 50: Goal= Find a permanent mate (& reproduce young, then raise them)
People at age 51 - 80++: Goal = Have Grandkids, retire, die.

Wow! How stupendously interesting these humans are! This explains why people find kids so captivating; Kids aren`t desperate (YET) so do far more things (amusing or stupid) before turning into dull,, mate-seeking, child-producing adults.

Now I can understand why immortal beings end their lives so quickly. This world`s supposed (more like proclaimed) most intelligent lifeforms are as never-changing in their purpose in life next to the lifestock they rear and eat. They try so hard to prove themselves different & superior to animals, yet they remain so primitively... plain to read. Feh.

Now then... can someone tell me where to find those enormous 1-meter over long koi? Shinjuku Gyouen has koi, but they are less than half the expected size.

EH?! Sushi died?! >< There are still so many other gray hamsters to play with. ;_; I miss muh white lil hamster Sashimi & ET. How is ET by the way?

学校?まーな。。。 今度頑張らなくてはいけないし。。。 段々上手に成る! 必ず! ジョイースに負けない! (School? It`s fine... must work hard... Gotta get good. Can`t afford to lose out to Joyce.) *戦気が現れる*

School started on Wednesday... my my. After 3 years of not studying, the sudden shock of it threw me off the entire first day. I`ve been posted to the 4th best class (out of 11 classes). The majority of my class are China, Taiwan & Korean nationals. Hmm. So most of them speak Chinese. The senseis keep thinking I don`t know kanji since I come from none of those countries o_O

I`m back to my old habits of suspecting every move people do, that affects me in some way. 1st day of school & some Laos guys comes up and asks me where I`m having lunch. At that point in time a million and one things was going through my head about what his intention (aka motive) might be. If this continues my head might just explode from the pressure weee. Oh yes, today we were taken to Shinjuku Gyoen. Yumi-san & I met that Laos guy somewhere along the way. Then nearing the end, I felt a little thirsty but didn`t have the coins to get something from the vending machine. He offered to pay for it (even though Yumi-san did want to help me out first...). I accepted rather unwillingly, then noticed the machine accepted notes. o_O Told him that he didn`t have to pay, but he put a 500 yen coin into it anyway. Okay, gotta pay 120 yen back to him whether he likes it or not. I hate owing people anything. Wonder what`s he up to though. o_O

... everything here is smaller than the same stuff elsewhere. Even the paper. o_O Now I`m stuck using an Onegai Twins folder for my notes. Hmmm.

Yeah, One Piece episode 157 & Naruto episode 27. ^^ Fun.

Chrono: Thank you so much for calling last night. Was so glad to talk to someone... Wonder when I can use the internet again sheesh.

Duh, the network decided to screw up on me and only me. Grrr. Gotta type it all over again.

Sis, I`ll snail mail you back today... the server screwed and my nice long mail to you got freak`in erased RAAAAH. Good thing I got your address in time.

Like I was typing just now, the morning CRUSH on board the subway is horrid. But everyone stays outta everyone elses` way even with all the pushing. I`ve heard though, that groping is rampant in there. With so many people around it`s impossible to trace the groper. Someone gimme a chaingun now pleeeeeaaaaassssseeeee. It would be a great excuse to blow some humans away.

Lizardcatcher: Where are the emails? Mom said she wanted to continue on em. Also, ask Mom to give me Godma & Aunt Lena`s addresses. Want to send some smail mail to them. Also, could you get Dada to scan those photographs I asked him to? Been waiting for them. -.-

Alright. The TV came on Sunday morning. Boy was I ever happy. Finally some form of entertainment. Saw Last Exile, Inuyasha & Dear Boys last night, but couldn`t get to see Wolf`s Rain since it was on some cable channel. Damn. Inuyasha? No comments... `cept he sounds like Usopp (from One Piece). Last Exile`s second episode was nice. The 3D graphics are cool; well integrated, but the plot was uh boring. Did like that cool-liking general figure at the end of the show though. :D Suteki! Dear Boys looked horrid. Yuck. Nuff said.

The other day, I was microwaving some sardines. It kinda exploded and dirtied the microwave oven. Went back up to clean it when I was done with lunch. The landlady was there and thought I was "kind" enough to help her clean it up just for the sake of doing so. Talk about a weird world.

Landlady: You came just to clean it up?
Sycia: Uh... hai... (thinking~ *well, since I got it dirty in the first place...*)
Landlady: Oh!!!! Arigatou gozaimasu! You`re too kind!
Sycia: o_O;

Weird thing was I didn`t even lie. Sheesh. Ah well. That`s one notch up for me in her books. She asked Joyce & I to help her out putting some new laundry lines up so we agreed. 2 notches more. Yay.

For those who want to call me, it`s best to call after 11pm Japan time. That way, if I don`t pick up, it`s probably `cause I`m in the bath.

Saw some weird advertisement on vaccum-packed vegs (lettuce, cabbage & broccoli?!). Yeah, over here, everything is small. o_O But the broccoli part really weirded me out. They (people in the advertisement) just popped the 1 and a half inch cube of green stuff into a bit of boiling water, then broccoli just swelled up from it. o_O Interesting. I would want to try it; see how real it tastes, if real at all.

One more thing; I was so happy when Mom, Chrono & Sassin called. ^^ Thank you all... I needed to talk to me old pals again... Dad also got that International Calling card, but I am nonplussed by the fact that everything about it is different from Joyce`s. Odd. Gonna have to ask Dad for the procedure again the next time he calls.

Getting increasingly annoyed by annoyance being wrongly directed at me. -.- School starts tomorrow & I`ll have to work hard. Sycia ganbarou yo! Oh yes, and the damned insurance fees, monthly tution fees, rent, maintenance fees & whatever really is getting on my nerves. So much money flying outta the bank automatically and how much am I left with? I don`t even know now. -.-

*Wonders why her Mom doesn`t email anymore...*

Just went to Akihabara to scout around for cheap electronic stuff (more specifically, televisions). No go there. The stuff there is so much more expensive than over here in Shinjuku. -_- What gives? Anyway, got my television set already; 30,000 yen with tax, transportation & setting fees. A small, 10-inch set that will fit on the table (more like a shabby piece of wood).

Waiting for Mom to call though. Wonder why she hasn`t. So far I`ve been trying my best to save money & eat healthy (balanced). The international students are fun to be with alright, but that`s just my hypocritical side being all happy I guess. The real me has been locked up for the time being (that explains me being detached). Deja vu once more.

I won`t be coming on till Tuesday when school starts.

GRAH!!!! I don`t want to eat no more! It sickens me to think of what to have for the next meal! Me be crocodile! Eat a lot of meat at once, and have no need to eat for the next half a year. >< GRAH. I still love food, but worrying about every meal is driving me nuts. Grrrr............

One more thing: I finally know why Kyowa-chan is so crazy over mochi. :D

Argh, just got back from the entrance ceremony. The school is nice. BIG... with an over-crowded canteen, a tiny computer lab that I doubt I`ll be using, and big open spaces. I swear, those people in the fashion section look like they go for cosplay everday. o.O

So I was wrong... school starts on Wednesday. NEXT wednesday... more boring days ahead... I was staying home (more like a tiny cell) for the last 2 days... didn`t want to spend any money. My apologies to those who were worried. ^^;

I can`t explain it, but it`s not homesickness. I`m too detached to feel that. But I wish I had my old friends to talk to... I can`t be my whacky human-hating self over here, and it aches like crazy. I have to be a nice normal girl who is happpily clueless and boringly addicted to fashion & make-up. Yuck. And I hate using this damned laptop to type. ><

On the other hand, I am glad she is feeling better now.... ^^

o_O At the rate I`m coming on online via the internet cafe, I`m gonna go broke from it sooner than by food. But I wuv the internet. I`d be bored to death without it. ><

Bought that water heater yesterday. Instant ramen tastes good here but I guess too much of it isn`t healthy. Need a small TV... hey Mom..? Is 27,000 yen too expensive for one (Lil Sis, get Mom to see this and convert it to Singapore dollars)?

The sakura were beautiful...! Even though the ones I saw lined a large canal... (with plenty of koi *small ones*, ducks & pigeons). Took plenty of photographs to send back to Mom and all. Met the guy-caretaker of the hostel on the way back and her showed us to a Japanese shrine & temple. :D The sakura & gardens in there were the best around. ^^

Lately my hair decided to take on a life of its own. Every darn day I wake up with a different hairstyle and end the day with yet another kinda of hairstyle. The best one yet was when it went like Yuna`s (Final Fantasy X) on Thursday. o_O

Uh... no I can`t tell you what it is unless I see a picture of that bird...

Oh by the way, give my Mom the money whenever. ^^; I can`t exactly come over to get it from you.

Need to get an electric kettle. The SARS case is getting from bad to worse everywhere, and I`m really worried for everyone in Singapore (or at least, everyone I know)....

The weather yesterday was crazy. Raining all damn day, windy as hell, and absolutely freezing (well, only my fingers cos I didn`t wear them gloves). Bought a really cheap (200 yen!) plushie of that 2-tailed wolf from Princess Mononoke from some Salvation army shop (didn`t know it was branded till I got back) and 2 well-needed key-chains for a total of 60 yen.

Aside from that, we couldn`t see the sakura yesterday cos the weather was crap, so we`re gonna go again later (the last day to see em). I`m putting to good use, what little Japanese I learnt for the past one and a half year, so improvements are being made slowly but surely. ^^ Later~

Hello again people. Came back to Shinjuku to use the computer. Not for long though.... Hope I`ll be able to come online everyday when I find the school`s facilities...

Gods the things are expensive here... School starts on the 10th, so I`ve got some time to spare and explore. Gonna go see the sakura tomorrow with Joyce. The weather? I love it. Cold, windy, and not humid (yet...) I however, cannot get used to the throw-rubbish-away only on certain days. >< It`s so bothersome. Durh.

Just got Samurai Deeper Kyo vol. 20 yesterday. Yay, some reading material at last.

Still feeling detached. What the hell is wrong with me? And I`ve gotta put more effort into the teleportation thing.

Wonder how she`s doing. Talk to me girl! o_o I`m worried.

Finally found an internet cafe!

Tuesday
I wish I could`va said more things to all the people who came, but there was so little time... especially to these two... The flight was... restless to say the least. Slept for a few minutes at a time before giving up and talking to Joyce. My ears didn`t give me any problems on the descent, so that`s a relief.

After a long time settling the documents at the airport (in Japanese no less...), we took a cab down to the dorm. A one and a half hour over journey with plenty of sakura trees along the way.... very beautiful...

The people managing the dorm are nice, though I doubt I`ll ever address the woman as okaasan (Mother) cos I only recognize ONE person deserving that title from me. Now, for our rooms. Wow wow. I stepped into mine and felt my heart sink. So bloody small. My storeroom at home`s only a little narrower.

After talking to Lina (another girl who got the scholarship) and Joyce last night, we got cheered up and started thinking for the better.

Now I`m now in a cafe in Shinjuku, with less than 6 minutes more to spare online, typing with this crappy keyboard-on-a-laptop. >< Sorry I can`t write more.... whoever knows me personally, please email me to ask for my address if you want to send any letters or what not over.... I don`t think I`ll be coming on _that_ often... : (

Bye... >< Rushing off now...

Well, it's 2:40 in the morning. My flight's in about 5 hours, and here I am thinking nothing about it. Just so everyone knows, I don't know when I'll be accessing the internet again, so don't expect me to be updating on a daily basis.

This day came kinda fast though.

Yesterday, finished burning all my mp3s to discs, transferred the broadband to Lil Bro (very simple procedure!) and packed my computer. Now all I have left to pack are my alarm clocks (which I need to use).
