YAY!!!! God bless Andrew for fixing my computer!!! I am beyond thrilled.
I'm heading back to school on Thursday. I'm not particularly thrilled but I think I'm ready. In many ways I miss Brandeis.
Anyway, I'm off to do fun things on my laptop. :) Congrats to the Jets and the Falcons!!!

Helloooo!!!! I am done with finals! Finshd yesterday and couldn't be happier about it.
My computer still sucks but at least I can wordprocess... I just can't connect to the internet.
I'm coming home Friday!!! For a whole month. I'm so excited. I haven't even begun to think about Christmas shopping yet but it occurred to me today at work that Christmas is exactly two weeks away. This is very bad. Very bad indeed. I need to get my butt in gear.
But first things first. I'm off to clean my room.
Friday, December 6, 2002. 02:39 p.m.
I am currently blogging from the computer in the Massell Quad office (just one floor below my room) because my personal computer has decided to cease functioning. To be more precise, Windows is on strike. I should really have the ITS guys here take a look at it before the weekend but that's just obnoxious. And since i don't really need my computer before I go home I could just pack it up and put the problem on Andrew or Tim. Heh, heh. I just really don't have time to deal with this right now and it's pissing me off. I have my orgo final on Monday that is freaking me out and I really just need to focus on studying. On a brighter note, my physics final yesterday went really well. I am elated. :)
Anyway. I have to clean my room and take a nap because I'm exhausted. And, of course, Charmed isn't even on this afternoon. Someone obviously hates me.

It really is 3am which is curious considering I have a final at 9am. I should really be asleep but somehow I'm awake and still studying. I'm also watching TV which is the only thing keeping me awake. X-Files was quite scary earlier which allowed me to stay alert. Unfortunately, no interesting TV is on at 3am so I put in my Mummy Returns DVD. It's enough to keep me from drifting off. I know, my study habits are strange, but believe me I have gotten a lot accomplished... far more than I would have had I fallen asleep at 11 o'clock like I wanted to...
I'm rambling now which is a sure sign that I need sleep. I just need to read up a little more on the Mughal Dynasty of India and I should be good to go. Of course I'm going to be haunted by the pornographic paintings of Masanobu and the Kangra school (who really cares about Krishna's sex life?) but whatever. I'm too tired to care. I just can't wait for this class to be over.
Physics lab is done. Art History will be done after this exam. Then all that remains is three more finals. All will be over on the 10th. Praise Allah.

Back from Thanksgiving Break. :( It was so much fun, I can't stand the thought of doing any work right now.
Well, two more days of classes before finals... weird. My physics lab final is tomorrow afternoon, which sucks because it means I have to spend tonight studying when I really just want to get into bed and watch Charmed and go to sleep. For some reason long periods of driving make me very sleepy. I was very thankful that the traffic was not bad at all (We did Portland to Worcester in 2 hours and made it here from Worcester in 40 minutes) but it still drained me. Plus it is ass cold outside and I just want to curl up in bed... but whatever. Physics, here i come.
Sunday, November 24, 2002. 06:23 p.m.
What a great weekend. Tasha and I had such a good time in Maine, having great conversations with my family, eating good food and, most importantly, watching about fifteen hours worth of Charmed... I guess you really had to be there to understand. :)
Now I'm back at school for about two days before going home again for Thanksgiving on Wednesday. I don't actually have any work due these two days so it does make you wonder why I bothered coming back at all...
Obviously, I do have class and other responsibilities but I have absolutely no motivation to do anything now.
But whatever. I'll clean my room, take care of some RA stuff and try and stay stress free until I can go home again. :) I am SO glad this semester is almost over.

Well, this week is shaping up to be just as hellish as I'd imagined. Which is both good and bad. At least I'm not being caught off guard. Although I did almost have a nervous breakdown when Luda told me that she wouldn't be able to come home this weekend with Tasha and me. I was totally bummed, but really the problem was just that I cannot handle anything unexpected this week, even something that isn't going to affect me until Friday. Hence the near nervous breakdown.
So, yeah, Luda isn't coming because one of her friends from home decided to fly up to visit her this weekend without informing anyone until after purchasing his plane tickets, etc. I ask you, who spends money to fly a thousand miles to see someone without checking to see if that person is even going to be in town??? Grrr... But anyway. Tasha and I will have plenty of fun without her. :) And there is a possibility Luda might be joining us for Thanksgiving this year but we'll see. For obvious reasons I don't want to get my hopes up. :P
Anyway, my orgo exam is at 6:30 so I should probably review my notes... at least until Charmed comes on... :)

I hate the Raiders. This game sucked. It's a real shame Brady consistently overthrows his receivers and has to rely on defense and special teams to score touchdowns. (Kevin Faulk is so cool.) The commentators really bugged me too. For example:
"Isn't it amazing how Oakland always ends up contesting the most bizarre plays?" "You know I don't like to second guess coaches but..." "There goes the big tight-end rumbling across the 45-yard line..." and my favorite: "Remember the movie The Wrath of Khan, when Ricardo Montalban says "revenge is a dish best served cold"?" (OH MY GOD!!!)
And on top of everything I still have to study more orgo. Grrrrr....
Sunday, November 17, 2002. 10:51 a.m.
Last night was great. :) It would have been nice if the weather had been a little more pleasant but we survived. Harry Potter was lots of fun, although it made me a little dizzy because we were sitting in the front row, but we got used to it after awhile. Kenneth Brannagh was pointlessly entertaining. :) I'm going to assume his character had more relevance in the book but couldn't possibly be as funny as Brannagh's portrayal of him.
Anyway. It is now confirmed, another RA (who is now my best friend! thank you omar!!!) has volunteered to cover my duty on Friday so I am going home. :) This is a serious load off my mind even though after I get through this Hell week coming up, no force on Earth could keep me from getting off this campus. But at least I don't have to think about it anymore. So. Tasha, Luda and I are coming to Portland. BEWARE.

Happy 21st Birthday Tasha!!! (whoah... 21? I can't handle that...)
Well, this kicks off the busiest weekend I will have all semester. Strangely, I'm not all that concerned about it. I have an orgo midterm on Tuesday, a final project presentation on Wednesday, a physics midterm on Thursday, and a final paper due Friday... and yet, I feel perfectly calm about the whole situation.
Oh and I'm also taking the time to celebrate Tasha's birthday tomorrow night. :) We are eating at California Pizza kitchen and then seeing Harry Potter. :):):)
Wednesday, November 13, 2002. 11:28 p.m.
I'm very excited to be going home soon despite Dad's concerns that the crowded car will make for an unpleasant trip. I think the opposite is true. It will be lots of fun. Now I just have to find someone willing to cover my duty that Friday...
I'd like to extend a warm welcome to Dad, a recent addition to the realm of Instant Messaging. Next step is to get him a cool alter-ego screenname like... FlyingNinjaPI or RepoManofMystery...
Hey someone in my evolution class said something about "niches" and "competition" and I could have sworn he actually said "ninjas in comp. lit." and I had a vision of lots of ninjas sitting around a lecture hall comparing Spenser and Milton (a comp lit class offered here). It was kind of cool... made me want to start a new story.
Okay, okay, I'm finally done. Goodnight.
