Is Rock And Roll From The Devil? (Freak! Print Edition Article)

Chick publications published a Christian tract that caught my attention. It was only about 15 cents, so I bought it. It was about Rock Music. According to the tract, the devil controls all rock music, including Christian Music. The tract was a comic strip that follows a selfish Christian band as they sign their souls to the devil, live the crazy life, and eventually the members of the band either end up dead, or gay. (I’m not making this stuff up!) The article had nothing to back up the opinion that rock was from the devil, so we decided to call up Chick publications and ask. This is the good part: they got real scared sounding when I asked about it and said it had been discontinued. Figures.

There are a few lessons to learn from this...

1)The church has a lot to learn about forgiveness.
These guys need to realize that forgiveness means realizing that these guys are dead just like the rest of them, and they obviously are unbelievably sorry for what they've done.

2)These guys need to think first.
They didn't think long enough to realize that the kids had families who didn't necesarily train them to kill people. The families are more than likely turned off from Christ because of these men.

3. Youth rocks.
In yet another outstanding expression of how cool youth for christ can be, they decided to prop the trees back up, because THEY know what forgiveness means.
