Naked Action Figures Aside

I sliced my finger last night while chopping tomatoes for our Mexican dinner. I didn't think it was a big deal until later on when I saw how distinct it was. Well, it's still not a big deal, but it is a knife cut. This after spending all weekend building things with wood. My hands were burning all day yesterday and there I go and slice on them. I didn't think I was a masochist, oh wait, I am a Cubs fan and I do want to make movies for a living, and I enjoy golf and watch bad movies more than once, so maybe I am somewhat masochismatic. If someone's masochistic, aren't they then also sadistic for doing that to themselves? So, you can be sadistic and sadistic only, but if you are masochistic, then you're sadistic too. What life lessons can we draw from this demonstration of the power of semantics? That you should be careful when you chop tomatoes, especially when you're hungry (and be careful not to get so overexcited that you bite down on your thumb while eating garlic bread at Buca di Beppo's (yes, I know, it's sad)).
