Pangea
So, I see that Johnny O is playing in Memphis on Friday night & Lexington, KY on Saturday night. He's on tour, you could say, spreading his love like oleo over the split top butter loaf that is the midwest (much like he does in the movie itself). I do want to open a chain of drive in theaters someday, but first maybe I'll concoct a traveling movie show, on a really grand scale. Something as hyped as Titanic or Road to Perdition that only screens on one movie screen at a time. It would be either a genius marketing ploy (limiting the supply in hopes of increasing demand) or the stupidest thing ever attempted (so little revenue). It would come complete with shorts & musical acts, maybe jugglers & hula dancers, making Madison Square Garden and The Rose Bowl into movie theaters. We could sell popcorn & jujubes like they sell snacks at ballgames, with the incrowd vendors. I guess that would have to stop by the time the movie started though. Can you imagine a crowd of 200,000 people sitting to watch a movie? I can!
