Free Movies Are Happy
Tomorrow is our company outing. We're leaving in the early afternoon and going to see the movie of our choice at the local cinema. While I totally and completely love this idea for a company outing, it does seem kind of strange. I much prefer the dark annals of moviing over the uncomfort that is a fancy restaurant or even the whole weirdness that is a company softball game, but aren't company outings meant to unite people and make people learn more about each other and fraternize and what not? We get to hush and hiss at our coworkers instead of greeting and nodding. Does movie theater etiquette supersede office etiquette? Gosh, I hope so.
