Cornbred or Formfed?


Why oh why does the Muffeletta taste so fine? I had a Muffeletta in Evanston yesterday at a department birthday lunch, prob'ly the last time I buy one outside of New Orleans. My favorite thing about that town is not the party or the colors or the architecture or the boobs, it's buying a muffeletta and a glass-bottled root beer from that general store on the east end of the French quarter and eating it in Jackson Square or on the rock bank of the Mississippi. What does this say about me? Am I a cornbred hayseed after all?
