Cleanliness

I'm in one of those throw everything away phases. When I was in college I kept a trunk full of old papers, thinking I might need them some day. Soon after I graduated I went through it and was amazed at the crap I kept. I had papers from my freshman year and invoice stubs from utilities from 1995! Why was I keeping this crap?! I was thoroughly emancipated when I carried about a hundred pounds of essays and bills and notices and memos to myself out to the dumpster. Sure enough, the collection has begun again, but not in the same way, it's more important stuff, but I hate it just the same. It's the plague of our times, the way we're so rapidly and comprhensively infested with the leavings of the red tape beasts. I'd rather live with pigeon poo on my carpet than to have to sleep aongst all the useless wasteful paperwork. I guess that's why we have filing cabinets, but I prefer the blue bag.
