Baseball is Pathetic

Yes, Selig is pathetic, but the managers and players are worse. You expect me to understand and empathize with a bunch of jock-millionaires who are nothing less than afraid to throw a ball for another twenty minutes when that's what they're paid to do in the first place!? It makes me sick to think I ever looked up to anybody who wears those stupid uniforms. They are so convoluted - so far from reality that it must be easy for those of us who are not so far from reality to want to think they are not so far from reality. The only right thing Selig could've done last night was tell Torre and Brenly, "too bad, you managed yourself into a big hole, now play the dang game!" But he didn't - he conceded - he folded, as did any remaining respect I had for the people involved with that game. Worse yet, the Fox Sports idiots acted surprised at the crowd's reaction! Surprised!? What do you expect!? Most of those people paid hundreds or thousands of dollars for those tickets! People who are in contact with that world in any way have lost all bearing of reality and are blind to the real thoughts and feelings of the everyday fan. There's not a player, coach, manager, commissioner, or announcer alive that even vaguely understands what's in our hearts. This was so patently obvious last night that I felt ashamed for being a baseball fan. We should band together and boycott these jerks, 100% boycott of MLB and minor league baseball. Then maybe these pansified princes might think twice before they think they have the right to strike. Gee, I guess it's rough to be in the public eye and have all that pressure on you, pressure to succeed, pressure to not fail. Oh shut up - you're all a bunch of overinflated man-brats whose arrested development is pathetic and sickening.
