The Cars tagline says Life is a journey. Enjoy your trip! That's so simple and cheesy, yet it caught me. We're always so caught up in the nitty gritties and passerbys - that we overshadow other more important concerns and forget to savour the very essence of life.
Caught X-Men with max today. I didnt really think much of it though, like i can't really recall what was the gist of it and the scenes that were exciting and engaging. Realized i've been watching so-so movies lately. Exchanged the jeans and bought myself the pretty dress from forever 21! Yay!! Good to indulge in yourself once in a blue moon, especially after a long tiring day at work. :) We met aaron and aprilyn and chatted for a while at Mos.
Work is so boring it's killing me. But meilin yinghong and i do entertain ourselves from time to time by playing silly games and comparing. And i cannot help but take a short nap everyday. Hahaha. Sunday onwards will be working at ubi all by myself. Sniffs.

Da Vinci Code last night with sinhui. Needless to say, it was quite a disappointment like everybody said.
Dinner with yiwen alvin and kevin tonight. I finally met up with them! I felt so bad coz i brought them to the crystal jade beside lau ling bar where i used to eat (they sell the normal xiao long bao and lamian like the normal branch but ambience is much more posh) and assured them that the price was affordable like the normal branch. Little did i know the restaurant revised their menu and everything there was quite expensive. (CHEL and BOON we cannot eat there anymore!) Still, we had fantastic chicken with mushroom wrapped in lotus leaf, tasty fried rice, rich nutritious soup with minched meat paste, radish with ham paste and kailan in garlic paste. And they gave me a pair of levis jeans for my birthday! Thanks people! Sorry i was really tired today after work, but still love these katanga people anyways. :D
I walked to ikea for yesterday's lunch break. It's two bus stops away, and it felt good to have a walk alone there. The hustle bustle of the cross road junction, the car companies that lined the streets of alexandra, the awesome cars that were on display.. The scorching heat from the sun was burning on my skin - not the perspiring sort of heat though, yet it felt good. It was like being brought back to the real world for a while, away from your own little world with your own little thoughts and feelings that you are so caught up with. So the real world is like that. It does not stop revolving under your feet, even if your own little world stops and crumbles. Then you'll start to wonder why on earth did you let your own world falter at all.

Finally met up with sinhui on sunday. I tried the german grill stall at thomson plaza and they sell sauerkraut!! Sauerkraut is this preserved cabbage germans usually eat, like kimchi in Korea. Sinhui reminded me that i must catch up with my german during the hols. We ate ice-cream at the little cafe at sin ming centre before going down to swim after a morning of gloom in the sky. And we basically updated and caught up with each other. Hehs. Andre and Gade. :D
Work today was boring and very slack. Hmmmms. But the people there are kinda nice and friendly. And so are the customers that called in. Like 10 000 times compared to starhub ones. Ate chicken wings, potato salad, fish fingers and this super duper yummy cake at ikea with sis. Yayyy.
Oh and i finally sat on sanduo's bike today. Kinda shaky and scary to me at first, but the first bike experience was quite exciting! I sound so swaku.
I can no longer muster the courage, the strength and the energy again.

I'm dead beat again. Woke up early in the morning for a silly meeting about the job. Then went back hall to prepare for the nus open house dance item and spent the entire afternoon in the function room. Practice, formation, rehearsal, make-up, everything we used to do there. Performance was held at the central forum. Really open and exposed. It felt really funny to perform there. We all didnt know where to look! Oh wells. Went for dinner at tiong bahru plaza and caught the semi finals of the hip hop dance competition. Some teams were really good!
Don't know how many times i've mentioned this, but 24 hours is really not enough. I haven't met up with sooo many people! :( Pris, lilian, jess, marc, nel, yiwen, max, alvin.. Bleahs.
Work starts on monday!!

It all started with me. In my mind. And it's perhaps time to end it. But things will never be the same again.
Been really tired these days. Went to support the juniors for their matches, ate casuarina prata with char ber alan (the place is nicely renovated and air-conditioned now!), played mahjong at my house and watched soccer after that and had a lot of fun and laughter, played badminton with my dad, sang ktv with sanduo meilin siongqun jiting yikit seowhong. Ohh today was watching Over The Hedge with sanduo meilin siongqun jiting yikit emily lijia royston. Ate at geylang frog leg's porridge after that - a WHOLE LOT bunch of people ain't it. A total of three cars and a bike. Haha.
I actually ran 4km today, though i did it at a crawling pace. Plus all the laughing from Orchard Point to Cathay with meilin (we were greatly tickled by all the conversations laced with funny accent), i feel so dead beat now.
I'm so tired.. Really really tired.

temporary relief
Thankfully i have a friend called miss goh sinhui.
Sorry if i didnt meet up with any of you this week. I think i need a break and stay home for a while. Clear up my thoughts, sort out my feelings, accompany mummy, take a break and make everything simple. And i've found a job! It's just two weeks but gotta work on weekends. Bleahhs. At least i'm earning income and nobody can say i'm slacking! You know who you are hahaha.
Did i mention i like taking the LRT nowadays? Love peering out of the window into the vast blue sky and forest green abundance oozing natural beauty. No buildings no nothing. Feels as though i'm away from the hustle bustle of the modern city, albeit temporary. But being born the city dweller i am, i guess i cannot live at the countryside all my life. Sometimes temporary stuff are what makes life more interesting.

I fell today. Not the severe sort, but hard enough to hurt.
Went to support the juniors today. Chen jia, andrew and qi wei played extremely well and we were so proud of them! It was really a pity and such a waste that we lost 2-3. Our match against ACJC was the last to end coz it was such a tough fight! Sigh. But applause to the guys. Cheered so much today my throat kinda hurts and my headache is back. Argghhs.
Dinner with sd sq jt ml at bishan today. Yikit joined us and we visited bishan cc. That place contained so much memories of meilin and i!! All the studying, teh bing, eating, laughing, chatting, sharing. Basically that was where our friendship was established and coz we saw each other through our down period. Hahaha. Remember Here Without You by 3 Doors Down? How silly we were then. :) I miss studying there a lot.

i rest my case
Table tennis at chinese high with ml sh jt sd sq today. Merry-go-round was kinda fun! Night was watching Poseidon with sis, bro-in-law and friends at the omni theatre. Gosh, omni theatre! It's been, say, a decade since i last went there. The visual effects were powerful and the scenes were really engaging. Couldnt help but feel this tinge of sadness laced in the film. Kinda reminds me of the tsunami victims. Basically the whole movie was really visual, vivid and real.
Saw this macdonalds mummy bear with the apron at min's house and i was really esctatic!! Coz i used to play with it when i was young but it was completely erased from my mind. Today i was at the macs (science centre branch) and they were displaying the really old toys. How nostalgic! I realised i had the baby bear too. Erps. Macdonalds is smart huh. We were the generation they used to target at when we were young, all the emphasis on kid's meals and That's my Macdonalds and stuff. Now they follow up and try to bring across a more cool and teens appeal. Justin Timberlake's song, I'm lovin' it and all the tech-savvy stuff like ezlink points and touch-screen kiosks. See, marketing strategy. Hahaha.

The entire friday was spent out of singapore in johor bahru. Special thanks to min and her mum for being such great hosts! Sorry pals if i didnt buy anything from city square. The levis jeans were still expensive, i couldnt find any PS2 games etc etc. Bought myself Nike sneakers which i quite like but i preferred the adidas ones that didnt have my size! Eeks. Got some belated birthday presents too. Night was church concert and then stayed over at min's house. Morning was dim sum - whee! Love dim sum and it was good and cheap. Don't know why everytime i step out of singapore, a rush of excitement usually overwhelm me. Like i'm finally getting out of singapore! But whenever i am nearing home, about to step into the national boundaries of sunny singapore again, i'll feel that i really miss home. Hahaha. Silly.
Boon chel and i gorged ourselves silly with food at taka before heading towards Loof, this rooftop bar at the Odeon Towers. The place was really cool and chic! One side was out in the open under the starry sky, the other like an air-conditioned glass gallery overlooking the city. We got ourselves this private comfy space, basically a cushiony bed between two glass panels of light and cool shadow effects. There we chatted, laughed, caught up and enjoyed one another's company. Yayyy. :)

I feel so happy for the junior guys. Things have changed since mario was gone. They got themselves two shirts for the competition, there's finally a COACH and they're well on their way to fight their best. It seems like just yesterday that meilin and i were still having fun with them and laughing over dinner. :) Finally got to sit down with meilin and talked today. Miss talking to her! Though we're roommates heh.
Dinner was with my sisters and brother-in-law at the jap restaurant at capitol building. Following was hanging out at this lounge at the amara. Finally tried Baileys! Hahaha. You see, i'm not really into alcohol.
Was talking about grandpas today. Maybe i always feel that he's still alive because i cannot bear the thought of him being gone.
Woke up to a really lovely wednesday morning today. Don't know how many times i've said this but i really adore the warmth and beauty of mornings! Maybe that's because i rarely get to enjoy it. Went jessica's house today. I decided her house is somewhere i will never fail to go till i grow old maybe?? Been going her house to bum around, slack and play and it's the 8th year running already. Hahaha. Can never forget all the things i've done there. Wheel of fortune, DDR, danny, Dino Crisis, eating, table tennis, badminton, tennis, the mama shop, pizza, brownie, mahjong, SCV, VCDs, cards and so much more. We watched the st nicks mass display cum track opening vcd today, where we were proud to be a part of and witness something very spectacular that ever happened in st nicks history. The disc really brought me back to memory lane and jolted waves of nostalgia. I was really impressed by jess because when the dance music started, she could simply recall the steps! And yes, we actually did the primary calisthenics, line dances and st nicks family dance in her living room while the vcd played on. Hahaha. (BOOON i saw u doing the cymbals HAHAHA) Funny how we were just freaking fourteen year old kids then huh. And it was not years later that i realize how apt the last song was - Amigos Parasiempre, which means Friends Forever. And there i had beside me this afternoon someone i met in st nicks that will be my friend for life. :)
Lousy me. I ran 2 km today. Hehs. This time, i can't blame it on the weather. Finally got to watch Daisy today and it was an okay show la, though my heart did go out to the killer at times. He was so unconditionally sweet. The daisy meadows and the city of Amsterdam were really beautiful by the way.
I think i'll never escape from being a "rabbit" since seconday school. Yahhh, miffylicious me huh boon and chel. This is cuuute!
