No Updates [Tuesday, September 14]
I'm moving to college so don't expect any updates for a while. And once I get settled Modulo will be my top priority as far as updates go. If I have the time I'll try to keep this site going, but since all the old news sites are updating frequently again, this could be the end of Snooze. Maduin Updates [Tuesday, September 14]
Maduin has released a new dev build that fixes the bug which prevented startup apps from running. He has also released Chronos 1.3, which adds ChronosHideOnUnfocus, ChronosToolTip, !ChronosMoveHome, and negative values for !ChronosMove. New Build [Monday, September 13]
Maduin's put up a new dev build of LS. This one has lots of new changes by Visigoth, including some cool scripting additions to the !Execute command. Here are all the changes: Added the 24.5 changes section (why wasn't this added sooner?) (Visigoth)

Peter Zag has released a new module called AmpTime. This module will display the elapsed/remaining time of the current Winamp song on the desktop. The font and color are customizable, and you can switch time modes with a left click. Get it at Modulo. Lots of New Modules [Friday, September 10]
Geekmaster coded up a little exe to show a splash screen at LS startup called LSSplash. (e) updated Popup to Release 9.1 and LiteMAN to Beta 4.1 to fix a Windows 9X linking bug. Get them at his page. Rainy updated his reminder wharf module Rainminder to version 0.2 Beta. This version can run as a LoadModule and can be controlled by bang commands. It can display reminders and/or launch programs and play sounds. He also released a module for making animations on your desktop about a month ago but you probably missed it. flip has created a Perl script and a tutorial to help you create shortcut groups. This tutorial and script helps you with every step of the process, including image creation. For those of you who didn't know, the old Litestep Unlimited, the great themes and screenshots site, is moving to Litestep.net. Pavel Vitis has updated Chimes.dll to version 1.1, and he has released a new module called Hotspots.dll. This module lets you create hotspots on the screen that will activate a bang command or lauch a program when your mouse passes over them. Psyci Tariani has released psyWavBang 1.0. This module will create a bang command to play a wave file. TrayTasks 1.7 [Sunday, September 5]
Sergey Trofimov has updated his task manager for the systray TrayTasks to version 1.7. The changes are: * Right click in separating area shows !Popup menu.
* Improved system menu handling.
* Improved icons counting stability in modes with separating.
* Fixed bug with crashes on recycles in Win98. BUT TrayTasks must be loaded BEFORE module providing system tray (usually systray.dll).
* Added AutoMinimize feature - minimizing foreground apps by single click (as in Explorer with ActiveDesktop installed). It can be set off by 'TrayTaskNoAutoMinimize' command.
* Added minimized apps bar hiding feature (disabled by default). It can be set on by 'TrayTasksHideMinAppBar' command.

Visigoth has released LSXCommand 1.7.7, with lots of changes. The most useful is the new !CommandSetText bang, which will send predefined text to the command window, which you can then add to. New Module - Chimes [Saturday, September 4]
Sorry, this is late. I posted it on Modulo, and then completely forgot about it until I saw it mentioned on FPN and Litestep.org. Anyway, Pavel Vitis has released a new module called Chimes.dll v1.0. This module will play a specified wave file every fifteen minutes. You can also specify different waves for on the hour, half-hour, and quarter-past and quarter-to the hour. These "Chimes" can be activated, enabled, and disabled through bang commands. Systray.dll 1.02 [Thursday, September 2]
Maduin has released a minor update to his Systray module. This version causes systray.dll to broadcast the LM_SYSTRAY message when desktop.dll is not loaded. This allows jDesk, TrayTasks, and Systray.dll to be used together without problems. New Popup Skins [Thursday, September 2]

Maduin has put up some new binaries at his site. Here are the changes sonce the last build (08-25-99): Fixed an issue in wharf.c where folders did not closed when the Wharf was dragged around. The folders now close. (jugg)
