it feels kinda wierd that the eoy expedition is starting today. after months of planning and waiting (not that i helped in the planning though), it's here! haha well i'm really looking forward to it, and i know it'll be a great and extremely fun experience for all of us odacians going for the trip.
so well, i'll be on expedition from today till the 6th of dec, the longest expedition i've ever been on, and do pray for us that all of us will be safe and sound and in good health! =) i also pray for good weather.. though we're expecting rain, lots of it, i hope it won't be TOO much.
i'm missing my class chalet though cos of the trip, which is quite a pity, cos i really want to go for the chalet too haha.. but oh well, the expedition's still the better choice, and i hope my class has lots of fun down at costa sands east coast! =D

hope everybody enjoyed their weekend! benny, fati, yeye, jason and i spent ours at minah's house behaving like delinquents with nothing better to do than eat 5 meals a day and spend the time in front of the tv. but it was rather fun haha.. we watched meet the fockers (which was really funny even though it was my second time watching it), prince of egypt (i shocked everybody by telling them i've never watched it before), Les Choristes (which was very nice and touching), and several other movies which we watched halfway and decided was too boring to continue. and out of point a bit, but minah's maid can cook man. and according to minah, her grandmother can cook even better. wonder why minah's still so small. if it were me i'd be FAT.
since fati and i needed to go for mass, we decided to go together for the evening mass at the church of st. ignatius. it was my first time going there, and honestly i was extremely impressed by the church choir, they were so wonderful. the congregation there, however, was very small (compared to ctk i mean. it's not really VERY small), though of course that could have had sth to do with the fact that it was a sunday evening mass. and oh yah for some reason the church didnt feel very 'catholic-ish'. haha but all in all it was a new experience visiting this parish.
countdown: 4 days to eoy ex! and i'm still unsure whether or not i have enough warm gear. i need to start packing soon! but of course i'm really looking forward to eoy ex!!

i'm at minah's house! this morning we had a hike from school to the summit of bt timah hill, following which we went to beauty world for lunch, and came here after that. backseat gang's gonna stayover here tonight! except maybe bimbo, cos she's not sure whether or not she can stay..
i watched harry potter yesterday!! at cine with eunice. even though some people were quite disappointed at it, i thought it was good! could have have been longer though too many parts of the book were cut out..
ok i think ill stop here cos this room is really warm. i'm going downstairs where theres air-con. hahaha...

HAPPY 10!! =D im feeling so full now. even though i only ate 2 meals today. and one of them consisted only of a piece of bread. well and that would be because the other was a sakae sushi buffet!! haha i went the wheelock sakae sushi with eunice today. and we were like vultures at first hovering around sakae for about 1.5 hours waiting for the all-important time - 3pm - the time when they start the buffet. lol.
it was so funny. we were both, quoting ben, "face-green-lips-white" from hunger while waiting for the clock to strike three. so we whiled alot of time away at this very cute shop that eunice nearly went crazy in. and she spent 6 bucks at the 'toing-toing' machine and bought 2 rather cute thingies hahaha..
i'm so sleepy.. anyway life is good at the moment. no lessons, NO PW, ive been put in charge of next year's btc, and i have the EOY ex to look forward to and the upcoming BSG stayover at minah's house, as well as windsurfing!! i MUSTMUSTMUST have fun these hols.

PW IS OVER!! OVER. OVER. hahaha i just concluded this year long project with the oral presentation just now. it was pretty fine. haha but whatever the case it's OVER!!
going out soon to meet eu to try and get harry potter tickets and then we're going to eat sakae sushi buffet! wah. i'm already beginning to get hungry. i hope it'll be yummy.

hmm i just went blog surfing. jasmine's, kli's and kang's, whose blogs i've not visited for a while, and aloy's, whose blog i never knew existed.
first i went to kli's and realised she loved rjc THAT much!! hahaha well it is a good school. i like it too. and i have met so many wonderful wonderful friends who have taught me so much about love and friendship THANK YOU!! it is definitely not as cold as many people make it out to be. I LOVE RJ TOO AND IM VERY SAD J1 IS OVER!! =(
then i went to kang's.. hmm kang ah are you ok? you seem so depressed and worried on your blog. hais sad to say i don't know this wonderful friend as well as i would like to, i know so little about her problems. but well all is not lost, i have one year more to get to know her better and make this friendship a JOLLY GOOD ONE that i'll cherish for the rest of my life! =D jiayou man sister!! dun worry about your results just do your best and they'll take care of themselves! =)
ah lastly i went to aloy's. his standard of english is amazing. now i know why some people can get 40+ for compos while others (i.e. me) are struggling to get 35. i wonder if all the humanities people write as beautifully as him. haha i sound like a little froggie in a little well don't i. but how i wish i'm able to write like he does. his vocabulary astounds me, i literally have a dictionary (which i took while reading his blog) on my table now.
haha and to jasmine, it's good that you have training to distract you from PW. oh how pw sucks, and HOW TRAGIC if your life is dominated by pw, pw and MORE PW. wah. and our class must have our stupid op on the 14th!!! OHMYGOD that is so late. when everybody else is celebrating their freedom from the horrid pw monster. aiyah i shall stop complaining. haha actually i don't hate pw that much la now that the worst is over. i just dislike it a little. but it's just fun to complain =D
I LOVE MY FRUIT FAMILY TOO!! and a thought came to me just now. WE HAVEN'T SUNG THE FRUIT SONG FOR AGES!! we should have on the last day of school. hahaha ok ignore me i'm being random. n i love ODAC!!! ROCKS MAN. quite literally. hahaha.. and of course eu!!! =D *hugs*

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GUNI!! YOU'RE FINALLY SEVENTEEN!! =D err this is a day late but well i reached home at 11 last night and was very tired so didnt feel like blogging. hope u enjoyed your bday! though im sure u did cos u spent the evening with me =P n finish the COOKIES!!
just came home after watching threesome with eu. though we arrived 20 mins late and missed half of the first play(actually we were supposed to miss the whole of it but thankfully guanghao and cedric were the ushers and they let us in THANK YOU! =P), i still enjoyed it tremendously. the second play was entertaining and required little thinking, while the third in my opinion was the best of the three. it was very touching and played on the issue of how children can grow up to become complete strangers with their own parents. i found the plight of the poor mother especially pitiful. i must try to be nicer to my mother n talk to her more. mmhm.
haha ok la i going to sleep soon. once again HAPPY BIRTHDAY EU! haha and something random. IM BROKE. with nothing except coins in my wallet and 6 bucks in my bank. must get my mum to give me money soon. RAH.

pheee-yeewwww-eeeeeet!! wah today was quite cool n fun. in the afternoon i went khatib to meet my dad for lunch. i also saw juvy, whom i've not seen for 6 years, ever since she went back to the philippines when i was in pri 5.. it was kinda wierd seeing juvy again after so long, but i was really glad to. haha..
then i went to j8 to meet eu, and we went to east coast park together. rollerblading was quite fun hahaha.. but that goondu eunice curse me to fall n i really fell. grr. i was just standing there u know not even moving, helping her put on her handguards, den she was just saying it would be fun if i fell and the next second i really did.
after blading we sat on that breakwater we took those beautiful pics on about 8-9 months back haha but this time didnt have camera.. and the sun was blocked by clouds.. but it was still veh pretty! when it got darker we walked to parkway parade for dinner and we were about to go home when i suddenly spotted the big signboard E-ZONE hahaha eu got all crazy and excited and we went to play the hockey thingy. wah that was the most interesting part of the day man hahaha.. in the first game she lost spectacularly, and halfway through the second she suddenly SCREAMED so loudly wahahahaha it was fortunate the background was so noisy as well...
anyway, is anyone else looking for a part time job too? if i can find one that my schedule can accomodate i want to take man. but i'm not too hopeful haha.. anyone got lobang? even if i can't take it eunice will probably be interested. haha..

wah im sianded n tired. today was open house, and i totally felt so sianded the whole day. it was quite boring really, and hardly anyone went to the spa structure or bouldering wall cos it was all the way at the other end of school. so effectively there wasnt anything much to do the whole day. sian.
preparing for open house was fun though. yesterday i helped in building the spa structure, and in painting one of the 2 wonderful banners! for the outdoor week one the 'outdoor' word was written by me! and the stars were mostly painted by me! wahahaha..
hais im very sleepy. been sleeping late and getting up early the past 2 days. tomorrow i can finally sleep a little later. but in the afternoon there's pw to look forward to. yucks. i think pw shortened my life by about 5 years. without pw, the average stress level of singapore's jc1 students will definitely decrease dramatically. but looking on the bright side, its going to be OVER in less than a month! gone from my life forever. hah.

HAPPY 9 MONTHS EUNICE!! haha it's been 3 quarters of a year liao.. n our J1 year is almost ending! =( i shall make the most of and enjoy what's left of this wonderful year. with you of course! =) we rock! wahahaha..

yest was veh fun. i went windsurfing!! for the 3rd time in my life. went with fati yeye and minah, we were so lucky to be blessed with good weather (except the wind was slightly too weak and virtually non-existent at some time) and an excellently high tide. it was fun because this time i actually managed to stay on my board for quite some time! i spent a bit less time swimming, and actually managed to move! hahaha...
then today i spent the afternoon shopping at bugis and orchard with eunice. i'm so tired now. still have to go to school tml for the waddeva lifeskills development workshop thing i signed up for. i don't even know where it is. anyone with info tell me!!

PROMOS ARE OVER!!!! wah im so happy. im free!! except for perhaps pw. oh how it stinks. now must start to prepare for pw oral presentation. but nvm ill start next week.
gp last thurs, chem on mon, phy on tues, bio yesterday, and promos ended today with a 3-hour maths paper. hahaha the papers were not too bad, except gp which was so difficult it was traumatising. haha but dun care liao la. its time to play!! =D
after the maths paper i went out with my 6 sisters and had soo much funn!! wahahhaa first we went to pigg out, then we watched corpse bride at lido. its a really really nice show, but abit short only an hour. then since all 7 of us were present, we went to take family neoprint! den eat ice cream n slack. wahahhaa ok i think im mad. but im so excited promos are over. im FREE!!! =D
oh yah hahaha shuyan treated me to this turkish ice cream today at far east plaza. has anyone tried it? it's... err.. special hahaha... if u havent, go try it!! you'll be deeply amused. go up the short flight of stairs outside 7-11, turn left, walk abit and its the first food stall you see on your right. really amusing hahahahaha..

IM CONFIRMED!!! haha im so happy man. but at the same time im very sad that im gonna be leaving all my rciy friends. it's been a long journey these 1.5 years, with many ppl dropping out along e way, and some more joining in, but all in all these are ppl who have journeyed with me all the way through baptism class and then confirmation class and now finally we have been confirmed and sealed with the holy spirit! im so happy and so grateful.
things just wouldnt have been the same without all these friends. n of cos i must mention some of them here. juliet leslie aly n mx, my clique in rciy, have helped me a lot n without them i wouldnt be what i am today. the 2 crazy kboxing sessions, the meals we had together celebrating each other's birthdays, the times spent at church camps, n of cos the times spent praying together. i remember the time we wanted to pray the rosary, but couldnt find anywhere to do it, so we went to the church columbarium n prayed the rosary there. i love u ppl loads. n of cos i cannot forget hazel, my godma!! thank you so much for helping us all in our faith formation journey.
n then we have vera aka fati. im so glad n thankful that i got to know her. our friendship has travelled so far since the time we first met n i got her name wrong for weeks, to the time now, fellow rafflesians and better still fellow odacians, and even better fellow backseat gang-ers. and even though ive only known her for 1.5 years, it just seems like i've known her for ages. and it's really great to have her around in odac, someone who shares my faith and whom i can pray with to dispel each other's fear. and i remember the time we were at mt. ophir base camp, at 12+ in the morning and in the near pitch darkness. the 2 of us were on sentry duty, and we just stood in the middle of the campsite in the cold n dark praying the rosary. thank u so much!! and there're just so many such wonderful instances. it's been simply splendid knowing you, and may our friendship last forever! =D
well i pray for all my fellow newly confirmed friends, that we may serve God in our own ways, in whichever ministry we join, and bring the joy and good news to others. thank you Lord for all the wonderful things you bring to me, and may God bless us all! =)

its the weekends again! haha n i can hardly believe that there's only 1 more week of lessons before we break for promos! how time flies. i hope i manage to finish my mugging before promos start. BUT BIO IS KILLING ME.
well today(or actually it was yesterday considering its past midnight) was my last confi class. next sunday im getting confirmed. so fast. everything seems to be zooming by so quickly n im growing up too fast. lol haha..
anyway during confi class they screened the movie tuesdays with morrie. n for those of u who haven't yet watched the show or read the book with the same name, i strongly encourage u to do so. it's such a meaningful n touching real-life story, and most of us, including me, will probably be able to relate in some way to mitch. the way he's so busy with his work, always in a hurry n never able to spare any time for his loved ones. n how his 16-years-no-see ex-professor morrie taught him so much about love n living. below are some nice quotes that i found meaningful.

haha well of course i'm NOT saying DON'T STUDY, just that i feel even though the promos, A's and O's are coming, we shouldn't spend 95% of our waking hours buried in our campbells and lampengkwans. continue to spend some time with your friends and family, and continue to give and receive love.
Bless me Jesus, and grant me peace n serenity. Prepare me spiritually and emotionally for the sacrament of Confirmation next week, and i pray too for all my friends and loved ones. Amen.

hiiiiiiiieeeeeeee.. hols are just about over. WAD A TRAGEDY. that means ill soon be waking up at unearthly hours of the morning to find my way to school, where ill spend the day trying to get through all my work n escaping being punished by mrs nair. but thank goodness im OPTIMISTIC. so let's try again. that means ill soon be waking up to the fresh air of the early morning just in time to see the sunrise, to be chauffeured to school in a MERCEDES bus, where ill be able to see all my dear friends and soak in the sea of knowledge!! =D now doesn't that sound so much better? =) ..ok shawn, i think you're mad.
hahaha now let me see what have i done these hols? Mon? study in school lib. Tues? study in school lib. Wed? study in school lib. Thurs? study in the most ulu lib in singapore(queenstown lib). Fri? study in orchard lib. i think the promos do something funny to the brains of healthy 17 year olds like me. EXAMS ARE A HEALTH HAZARD. once upon a time when i was younger, 7 days of holidays means 7 days of playing. what is the world coming to. grr. ok i think ive done enuff crapping. wahahahhaha...
dun have flute with me anymore! =( hahaha the past 4 nights ive been playing flute for at least 2-3 hrs each night. hopefully i improved.
oh yah. random thoughts. DON'T buy the cafe galilee chicken chunks! omg they are SO not worth. i dunno why they give such a BEEEEG bowl den i look inside i feel so cheated. 6 miserable tiny scrawny pieces that are SO OILY they make me feel like a bucket of LARD. ROAR.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JASMINE!!! just had a greaaat time in marche celebrating xiaomei jasmines birthday with the fruit family, shuying, tracy, eggy n eunice. it was so fun! eating n den chatting n talking soo much crap. greeat stress reliever. n shuyan is so funny!! hahahahha...
n well tts the last birthday of the year for our fruit family. the youngest member of our family has finally hit 17 too.. we're all growing up.. too fast for my liking!!
n of cos, today marks the start of the hols too! woohoo~ e next 1.5 weeks i can sleeeeep late. life is reallly good to me at the moment =D or at least till im compelled to start worrying abt pw..

ahhh im so angry before this one n after the ophir entry i blogged twice!! but either my computer ate them up or they somehow evaporated!!! where are my entries!!! im so pissed. haha one was abt odacia, which was on 13 Aug n was a good success, n the other abt big talent afternoon in church, n it was also soo goood!! so much better than i thought it would be. wow. praise God.
have i told you how much PW sucks? OHMYGOODNESSME. i wonder whose sadistic idea it was to come up with this subject to torture, frustrate and terrorise poor innocent teenagers like me. i simply cant wait for e time when i can finish the oral presentation n say goodbye to pw for the rest of my life. but come to think of it, the yoga pe elective im doing in school is actually quite fun. hahaha.. but id still rather have tennis though..
n oh yah oh yah.. yesterday was band aid concert!! hmm it was not bad. not as bad as eunice made it sound. i liked the saxophone ensemble part! n the stage band! the last 2 songs were excellent. n of cos my dear eunice played her flute wonderfully!! =) i want to learn the flute n one day be able to play it as well as her.. its gonna take a long time though..
today had truehearts training in the morning, then went to church. nothing interesting also. but tml ill be going serene centre to study with eunice! n den lunch can eat at adam road food centre! n island creamers ice cream!! =D
ya n im really looking forward to end of year expedition. its gonna be a greeaat experience n wonderful time spent with my best friends in odac. pity charmaine's not going. n i really want to be the GA & admin asst! haha.

IM BACK FROM MT OPHIR EXPEDITION!!! i really loved it it was so so so fun, n even though its my 3rd time climbing the mountain i still loved it so much! cos RJC ODAC ROCKS!! =D haha ive learnt tt impt though e destination of an expedition undoubtedly is, the friends n company u go with is also extremely impt. a VERY BIG thankew to all the ppl who made my exped so much more wonderful n enjoyable!! =D
Day 1: i managed to weasel my way out of the flagbearing thing, n was just slacking ard e odac room. ponned assembly altogether hahaha.. but there was a mad rush in the morning as charmaine fati jason n i went to army market to collect the gas canisters we ordered. there we found out tt stock had not yet arrived, n as a result we had to run about the place looking for a shop tt sold it at a good price. rushed back to school after tt, n tried out a little bouldering before leaving for the exped. very thankfully we managed to leave at a good time, was blessed with clear traffic all the way, n managed to reach the foot of ophir at a very good timing indeed. we made our way up to base camp, which is abt halfway up the mountain, arriving there about 615pm, n we pitched our tents before gg to the beautiful wonderful perfect river to wash up =D hahaha i love the river!!!!! the water is so nice n clean, n VERY COLD =D perfect to have a dip in after a few hours climbing n suffering =D tt night, vera n i took the 12 to 1am shift of sentry duty, n we prayed n said the rosary tgt standing in the middle of the campsite, shivering cos it was so cold.. haha
Day 2: waking up at 6am, we all ate some breakfast n prepared for our summit climb. poor rebecca couldn't go with us due to a thigh strain sustained on the first day. it was a tiring climb, though i did notice tt it felt easier as compared to my previous 2 trips. haha n there were also new additions of ladders to some of the more challenging parts where only ropes were present before, making it much easier. after much climbing and many cuts n bruises, every single one of us succeeded in conquering the summit!! =D we arrived at the summit at about 1115, n it was so cold, as we found ourselves surrounded by clouds and e clouds were just drifting past us n amidst us. felt as if we were on the misty mountains. beautiful. need i say more?
but of cos due to the cloudy beauty, we missed out on the other beauty. the feeling of being on top of the world as u see hundreds of kilometres in all directions laid out beneath your feet like a gigantic map, with winding rivers n roads with cars tt looked no bigger than a mere dot. haha well sadly my friends didnt get to enjoy tt beauty, but i know abt it cos ive been there before n seen it haha.
we stayed at e summit till noon, n after taking many many pics n eating our rations, we all felt so high(both figuratively n literally) as we departed the summit n began our 3+ hrs descent. upon reaching base camp, we all eagerly went down to the river for a much awaited bath haha. it was so cool swimming with the hundreds of fish there, n i brought my tinned pineapples down to e river to eat yummy!!! =) we then cooked n ate dinner, n after that we had our own mini national day celebration!! =D it wasnt anything much, simply e singing of e national anthemn, taking the pledge, n several national day songs. we were also given one sparkler each to play with! nth much, but it was so cool celebrating national day outside singapore, halfway up a mountain!
haha after tt charlene clara amy limin yeye benny darren n i played truth or dare and have u ever and i learnt some surpirising things tt night haha.. but obviously i cant disclose others' secrets so tts all for day 2! =)
Day 3: we all woke up at 630am, n after breakfast had to pack up, strike tents, clean up e place n descend to the foot. we set off at 830, n completed e mountain at about 1045. we changed n ate at the shops at the foot, n then boarded the bus back for singapore..
well when we reached school, we found our new mother hamster looking in a really really bad state.. hais after we were dismissed some ppl rushed it to a vet, n when i reached home guess wad?? i realised i forgot to bring my keys!! so i went to my cousins house n im here now haha.. but im going home liaos cos my mums back.. haha so tts all about ophir!!

haha just came back from church camp today.. err it was not bad la hehe.. not fantastic but still quite good. but the best thing was the fellowship i experienced and the friendships tt were strengthened. there were much fewer ppl this camp compared to the previous 2 camps, slightly less than 20 of us, n this enabled us to really get to know one another better. haha i shant go into the details though n bore everybody. n its too late n i need to zzzZzz...
tml im going to climb mt ophir!!!!! omg im really really looking forward to it. odac hasnt been on an expedition for like 4 months liaos. ophir will definitely be a new experience for all of us, as it shall be the highest n most challenging mountain we've tried. it'll also be the mountain with the bestest view from the summit. ill take loads of pics for memories sake =) thankew milk for lending me your camera you rock i love u!!! =D

anyway today its been confirmed tt sikkim ex is cancelled!! =( =( =( prolly will be going kinabalu n another mountain whose name i cannot rmb. but they're the 1st n 2nd highest mountains in SEA. sounds not too bad budden so sad cannot see snowwww capped mountains... =(
wed got bio lect test! n i havent studied..

haha just reached home. hais anyway today i was so zonked out n stoned. not veh sure why also lol. so today passed in abit of a daze.
well den today after school i went all e way to clementi with eu to develop photos. wah veh cheap leh only 20 cents each. i had dinner there while waiting for the photos to be ready. yumyumm.. ok nvm im not making sense liao hehe.
haha n oh yah random abit i realised i forgot to blog abt my ct results! im so proud of myself!! haha really really happy ill jump for joy if i can get the same for promos. err so just for the record its 3 As n 1 B. B for bio. lol. err gunii u did pretty well too im also proud of u!! =) haha but well for all my friends who didnt get what they expected, i just want to say dont give up!!! ni men ke yi de!! im very sure all of you will do better for promos =)
