Somehow we all knew this to be true, right? Guess it has gone from former addict back to addict... I am 90% ADDICTED TO THE INTERNET.

Got woken up at 2am to a knock. "Did you let Winnie in?" How in the hell did she come 3 miles across town... "No!?!" "Oh." Left my room and asked, "Winnie or Abbey? I did let Abbey in" "I did ask Winnie, didn't I?" Had a strange dream last night. I was a police officer who caught a couple kids vandalizing a house. They resisted (mostly passively) and tried convincing me to just let them go. Almost did. Found a program to play with yesterday: MailWasher. Works well so far. I can define legitimate mail, such as from email lists, which it will not show me for consideration. Apparently a Green Party official, Nancy Oden, found airport security so much of an affront to basic liberty that she resisted being searched. She feels it is because the FBI flagged her as a terrorist (one articles said she does not even have a record). Politech Archive: Message

From the NEWS of the WEIRD archive. In September, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution profiled desolate Echols County, Georgia (between Valdosta and the Okeefenokee Swamp), well-known to the state's judges because that is where they encourage lawbreakers to go when they really want them to leave the state altogether. The Georgia constitution prohibits banishing people from the state as punishment for crimes, so judges merely banish them from 158 of the state's 159 counties, trusting that they would never voluntarily settle in Echols, anyway, and such strategy seems always to work. [Atlanta Journal-Constitution, 9-30-01] So THAT explains Echols County! Need to start reading the AJC.

Made some consistency changes to the Fountain of Knowledge. Made a footer and dropped in all the items I wanted added. Found out how to make a server-side include to the current document for the last modified date (which is part of the server-side include applied footer). Free shipping on orders over $99 at Amazon. Have found something Dreamweavers sux at doing. For some reason the program has a problem uploading files as ASCII instead of Binary. What's up with that? It has a file to designate which files are ASCII and which are Binary.

Found this Friday. Someone has too much time to do Monty Python and the Holy Grail in LEGOs. Impress all the same. Saw Harry Potter Saturday. Thought the movie was pretty good. I've read some of the reviews and think some people need to get off the idea that the written word is canon. Movies are a visual and auditory presentation of stories. Books are a written presentation if stories. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. Many of the books I have read are great for reading, but would put me to sleep as a movie because the development of the story is too long (nevermind it would be over 6 hours). Many of the movies I have seen would make very poor books because there is not enough plot development to support a book. Saw K-PAX yesterday. Thought it was okay. It has an interesting story if a little too obvious in the direction it was headed. Joe didn't even tell me about one of the most important developments in the plot. I saw it coming 1/2 way through the movie. Stoked about Spy Game (Tony Scott directing), Ocean's 11 (Steven Soderbergh directing), Ali. Of course, The Fellowship of the Ring has me trembling in anticipation and counting the days (30). I don't even know how many days are until Thanksgiving, Christmas, Ayyam-i-hah, or my birthday.

- Baklava
- Baked apples with honey syrup (actually my mom made this once when I was a kid... I loved it)
Will probably do the baked apples. Much easier than Baklava. The last thing I cooked was (and pizzas do not count)... Zataran's Black Beans and rice last Thanksgiving. Once a year? Impressed, yet?
