Learning about web site privacy policies and P3P. Seeing who has them and who doesn't. I am surprised more universities have not jumped into this. Harvard, UCLA, and MIT have not even set up P3P files. MIT does not even have a privacy statement from the home page. Coming back to more local, the major univeristies in the state do not even have privacy statements on the home page.

Do think that it is important to be able to say, "We collect this information. This is how we use it."

Geek.com Geek News - FDA won't regulate chips
Seems the FDA thinks that a chip which sits in your body and more or less broadcasts your medical information is not a medical device.

The Nitpickers' Site. You know you saw the camera boom mic dip just into the screen the last movie you saw.

Yeah, I guess I am an *ss. Just did not have any appropriate words. Could I really say, "I am surprised you are not already fired?" or "What did you THINK they were going to do? Cover it up? For you? Maybe for someone that keeps their head down. You are always in their face and being a problem." or "All they had to do was wait for you to screw up to get rid of you. I am impresssed."

Instead I tried to hege and got caught.
Windows XP sux. I like Windows 2000 better. Much better.

One of the things that annoys me is how IE6 behaves. When I click on a link, the text on that line becomes smaller. Huh? Why?
Think I am going to phase out this blog site. Maybe make it my backup for my Xanga site. Anyway, if you are looking for a place to bookmark me, I recommend my personal site. From there one can find my journal.

All I have to do is avoid the country hog song tonight, and I am all set.

Ordered a bunch of DVDs. I wanted to so there! Started to update my movie list again. Figure I am well on my way to 600 titles. My coworkers and I need to figure out a way to list for each other what anime we have. That way when we do these parties everyone has an idea of what the group has to offer.

The power going out is something with which I can live. The gas can go out too for all I care. I do not have cable and rarely use the telephone. Yet, the water I need. Hygene and hydration are extremely important to me.

The downward spiral of Israel and Palestine is going to get worse. Anyone who thinks that this is going to be resolved in a few months is delusional. Personally, I've been disappointed with coverage of the conflict from American media sources. The BBC World Service comes on the radio after midnight and has had in my opinion a significantly more balanced report of events.

It is amazing all the junk mail I get about being dating services. It seems to be a good portion of my email. Also online education programs, breast enhancement creams, and background searching.

I can't see myself using any of these products. Yet I get at least 3 offers a day.

Has been a pretty good weekend. Went to see Death to Smoochie Friday night. Really enjoyed it. Also on the movie front, I just got out of the new Barry Sonnenfeld: Big Trouble. I've never laughed so hard in a movie.

The anime party was fun. We only watched to movies though, Jin-Roh (good) and BioHunter (ack).

Got my pictures back from the London/Paris trip. Will try and scan them this week. Took 6.5 rolls of film. Probably will not scan them all.

The clock on the wall is wrong. Bastards!

An Unfair opt-opt policy makes strike 2 for Yahoo. Actually, I would like to count removing the free POP email access as 3 strikes.

If they had asked would I be willing to pay for POPping my email, then they would have learned that am I not. No one I have discussed this with seems willing to pay for it. I wonder how they will make any money by removing the free access?

The real strike 3 is how they track their users (obviously to sell to other companies). Strike 4 is that you cannot kill an account through Yahoo. At best I could just leave it subscribed to some lists for a month and collect 6MB of email a week.

How is it that I missed that Yahoo was capable of this? Doubleclick has been on my blacklist for years for this kind of behavior. Now I will have to shed myself of Yahoo.

I am very much enjoying the April Fool's Day web pages. Think one of the reasons I like Google is how they play with their site.
