I don't know how it could be so hot in Fnd when it's raining outside. It is very strange....

Hey..... are you close to the fires at all? It's so strange being in the little W bubble. I found out through the California conference on FC.

I wish I could be more productive. I think the best way to describe my attitude is "bleh". That has become my favorite word of the semester.

I really liked the tsukihime series that we watched Friday. Watched the 3rd episode.... didn't realize it was that new. It has a Hellsing vibe, though it was a little slow. I like the female vampire, whose name is Arcuied (I think), which makes me think Alucard. She's not quite as cool though. Nero, the vampire guy who's after Arc, reminds me of Anderson. I like the art, but it's still a bit slow.

Reading doujin is one hell of an experience, especially that one. Half the book needed to be censored by Tam, Val, and co. "Hmm, this one has pretty art. Okay, can't look at this part" (flips to the end of the marked off section) "Wait, they all look different..."
Some of the art was pretty though...

I should so do work. Really, I should. But am I? no. I've been downloading the PoT OST2. My poor computer, it's running low on space again. *sigh*

I haven't listened to Hametsu e Rondo for a while now, but the songs are getting stuck in my head. It's bad. Songs like Ka.Ba.Ji. Arg. I don't even really like this album that much. I prefer ballads, slower songs. PoT music just has this way of burrowing into my brain and taking up permanent residence there.

Friday! yesh!!! Actually, this has been a slacker week for me since I didn't have anything except the two problem sets due tomorrow.

Hmmm, if someone wants to make a costume for me for tomorrow's anime showing or for Halloween next week, I might consider wearing it. However, it'd have to be something non-skanky, free, and easy to find. Not so easy, eh? ;)

I hope your eye gets better and that your cold doesn't last too long. Here's my advice: Zinc (only works if you're in the first couple of days of the cold though), soup, and sleep. Extra emphasis on that last one. I hope you feel better soon!!!

Thank you for your help with mIRC! I will make more of an effort to get on now that I actually know someone on there!

Yes, I do like abusing you. hey, what are former roommates for? hehehe

Pitas is back up! Niiice. I was about to jump ship to blogspot or livejournal or something.

Whoever sent me the Fuji plushie, I <3 you. I don't know who you are, but I <3 you, even if it's a mistake and you didn't mean to send it to me because it's really cute. :)
Let me know who you are so I can thank you properly. mwuahahahahaaaaaaa *ahem*

I <3 Gloria too even with all her sneaky little ways. We went bowling with Val and Laura on Saturday (which was very fun ~ Candlepin bowling is hard!!) and ended up at Porter. So of course, we went into Sasuga and she ended up getting me manga 10.5 of PoT! While I was in the store! :P I do appreciate it very much, but she is so sneaky!!!!
Anyway, the book is amusing me to no end here. It is so much fun. I must show you sometime. You'd appreciate it.
and now I have Inui's recipes! *cackle*

This is what I was able to save from the cached copy on Google. It's funny because I seems to have lost an archive. But oh well, I don't think there was anything important in there.

Watched PoT 104 and I <3 Fuji.

So.... I'm guessing no bowling tomorrow. But going to Head of the Charles. Should be fun.

I am so proud of myself. I had some free time today and I chose to read. Actually read read. I'm only halfway through Harry Potter OoP though, and I'm already seeing why people pair James/Sirius or Lupin/Sirius. PoT, you have completely corrupted me. :P

I am so disturbed by this referrer.
And just what is this? I know I've mentioned it before, but what is it? I thought there was only a Japanese version of Yatta!?!
And finally, why the hell would someone look for this? Just thinking about it hurts.

Again, I am so not feeling in the work mode. Not at all. Japanese puppet show was fun. That was so cool.

Ventured onto IRC for the first time... and don't know what to do. There are just too many darn settings and I'm just too much of an idiot. Seriously, I can't even firgure out how to chat in that place.

ECON professor stuff because I said I would post these. My econ prof is pretty strange. He's youngish and pretty hyper sometimes. Very strange guy, who sometimes refers to himself in the 3rd person and likes to use cocaine and drugs for examples. This is an interesting class.... mostly, the upperclasswomen (myself included) sit in the back and act all casual about the class, while the little first-years are up in front, being very studious. :) Some of the moments that stand out most in my mind:
First day of class - talking about opportunity cost. "What do you give up by going to school here?"
At the same time,
First-year: Men!
Upperclasswoman: Sleep!
Prof (turns red): Ooookkkay. I was thinking more along the lines of money.

Can't remember what we were talking about, but he said something like "...you can buy more to lube your relationship with."
Class giggles.
"What?" Pauses, realizes, turns BRIGHT red.

Talking about indifference maps, what I heard him say was "You know how there are all those terrorist gardens in South America?"
me thinking: "what the hell is a terrorist garden?"
A couple of minutes later, "You guys look confused. I'll explain this again." (It's really not a hard concept) He starts again with the garden thing. Then says something that sounded like "You can just jump up to the next terrorist."
Upperclasswomen in the back start exchange confused looks. Then whispers and a "Ooooooohhhh!!!"
Prof: What?
Student: We thought you said terrorist garden.
Prof: No! No! Terraced garden. Terraced. (All the while it still sounds like "terrorist".)

My favorite:
Somehow we were talking about celebrity sightings. He says "No one can beat this! My ex-girlfriend was on one of those reality TV shows!"
Class: Which one?!!?
Prof: "For Love or Money! I've been wanting to tell someone since I found out, but I couldn't tell my colleagues!"
** For Love or Money = show where there's a guy who is going to pick a woman to marry (I think). Guy doesn't know that the woman are all being nice to him because whoever he picks gets a million dollars or some ridiculous amount.

I control everything of you

How apt for one of ore-sama's songs.
I've now listened to the album almost twice. First impressions are that Suwabe Junichi has a lovely voice (gorgeous really) and he sings a lot of random English (bah, bad brain, I just started to type "chinese" there). Things I think I caught include the above line, "somebody tell me" and "time will heal the wounds". That last one's a bit questionable, but it makes me think of Tezuka's arm (I've been seeing too much TezAto lately).
The songs are much faster paced than Fuji and Ryoma's. Nice different way.
I wonder if Kabaji's "ussu" counts as a duet.

Bye bye hard disk space, hello Atobe's album!
Been downloading sooooo much these last few days... My hard drive has gone down to about 600MB. Well, must burn tomorrow because I won't be working in the MF again until after the comp gets refreshed.
Want to listen to the album so badly! But I will wait until I get the entire thing... then listen to the whole thing straight! yeeessssssss!!

Finished chem exam, so only bio lab practical left! Memorizations galore. I HATE memorization.

Econ professor is like a little kid. His voice cracked several times during class today. I feel so bad laughing at him, but it's so funny to hear his voice suddenly go up....

GRRRRRRR, I didn't get my absentee ballot until yesterday! and since there's no way in hell to get my ballot home by today, I can't vote! :( :( :( DAMN IT ALL TO HELL. If Schwarzenneger wins, I'm going to be pissed.

Happy Birthday Sarah!!!!

Thank you for the awesome party last night. Very funny to see certain people act, uh, out of it.
Of course some of us don't need no stinkin' alcohol to act weird. :P

So tired! Don't know why, but my eyes just feel dry and tired. I think I am getting old....

Mac OSX is such a tattle-tale. For refreshing, we have to use terminal to do some command that does I-don't-know-what, and when I typed it in earlier, it gives me an error meesage saying that the account I was logged in under was not allowed to do that command and it was going to report me...... I wonder who exactly it reports me to. Curious.

One more week and I will be free from exams for 2 whole weeks! That just doesn't sound as exciting as I had hoped.

Happy Birthday Risa!!!!

ahh, welcome to the land of non-teenagedness. You're officially old. :)

Rochester because the University of Rochester is up there.

I haven't done any academic work this whole weekend....
But I ended up watching some Hikago with Risa, Val, and Gloria. I remember why i didn't like it.... It's too slow. However, all became well when Val started fastforwarding through the episodes and you hear their squeaky squeaky voices. So cute!
Then she ff-ed through Make You Free and White Line of PoT. hehehe, Tezuka singing like a chipmunk amuses me.

I swear that computer hates me. It was the first one that gave me all the problems last week, but now the image has been fixed, so refreshing went well on all but that stupid one. After refreshing, its mouse did not work. bleh. I wish I knew how to use Mac OSX without a mouse, but I really don't. Finally, had to reinstall the entire OS, then refresh it. But hey, it looks like it's fixed! yay.

After I turned in my payroll for the last period, my boss emails me and asks me if I made a mistake. I ended up working about 6 hrs/wk for my SA, and we're usually supposed to do 4-5. I was kinda pissed... well, it's not like I WANT to be here. It's just that the damned computers won't work right. Like I wanted to spend 6 hours a week refreshing the computers...... blurgh Oh well. I hope hope hope MOST will keep making it easier and easier to refresh these things because the process takes 30 minutes for each computer.... and I'm one of the faster people at this process.
AND I didn't even charge for the cumulative 1 hr+ that I spent wandering the halls of FND looking for someone to unlock the door for me.....

I just spent 3 and 1/2 hours shopping *whimper*
I don't like shopping, especially when I don't really know what I'm looking for, and all I know is that I need to get something. I finally ended up with a pair of pants and a sweater.
I remember once hearing that, with computers, you can two out of the three following things: a good price, a good speed, and reliability. I think the same is true for me when I shop. I have to choose between good price, a good fit, or a good look.
Somehow price always win out.

Went volunteering today, so I was out from 8am to 6pm (blech) Things have really changed since I last was there, but I think because I worked at Children's over the summer, I was able to handle the paperwork pretty well. Still sucks that the government cut our vaccines.

My mother called today.... wtf???? She apparently is in New York, and for some reason, she wants me to call her. I think she decided that I go to school in NY, which, uh, I don't. (btw, if you're wondering about my reaction to this, I don't get along with my mother, and she doesn't really like me very much. She's never contacted me out of the blue like this in my three+ years here.)

I thought that with my Econ and Bio exams over, I would get to relax a little this weekend. then I realized I was wrong, so incredibly wrong. The next time I will have an empty weekend is November. Next weekend is Rochester, the weekend after that is more HepB, and the last weekend is me being the weekend manager for the Clusters (which isn't really that bad, but it's the weekend before my 2 round of exams). Shoot me now.
I feel like I am either going to hurt myself or somebody else. Guess which one I'm leaning towards? :D

How am I going to get to upstate New York??? It'll actually freaking take me more time to fly to Rochester than it takes me to fly home to California....... Greyhound is looking mighty good right now.

Remind to blog about Econ class one of these days, it's an amusing class with amusing stories.

The GBA moves are A+S+Z or A+S+X
You have to be at full guage, and your character has to have a special move for that particular moment (as in, if the character has a special serve like Twist or Disappearing then you can do your special move. Otherwise, you'll serve normally when you hit those key combos.) Basically, if your character's glowing, you can do a special move.
It takes practice to get the timing right.
These are the qwerty keyboard keys since I don't have a real GBA and only play the roms.
Actually, try GameFAQs for a list of the moves. It is (or was) in the message boards section.

Wow, I haven't played those games in a while. Too bad my comp's too slow to play them. Will have to take them to work one day and go nuts.

Bio kicked my butt.

So very tired! I don't know how you people function on so little sleep! I stayed up till 3 to study for bio and woke up at 8. That's 5 hours, but I feel like I'm going to crash.

I *heart* TeniPuri merchandise. Cap To Bin cracks me up.

Gar, always hate trying to get into this room. This time I got in a half an hour late because I had to call campus po to unlock it for me. Been in here for an hour and I've only fixed 2 of the 5 computers that don't work. It's going to be a long long time before I'm done.... unless MOST fixes the image and then I can just refresh instead of clone.

Either way, Tam, that show was weird and the pantless shot was just unnecessary. bleh the music videos were really fun. Someone posted the Matrix Ping Pong, so here it is. Here's another weird thing.

Listened to RajiPuri #26. Tezuka sends mail to Ryusaki-sensei and Sakaki, calling them Sumire-chan and Tarou-chan, I believe. That show is on-crack, as usual.
I find it strange that there is a thread on Community talking about Tatu, which was the subject of Tezuka's mail to Atobe.... Yes, I'm weird for remembering that, aren't I?

Updated some stuff, so there should be no more popups. Yay! My visits count is going to go way up since I'm reloading so much. Ahh, trial and error html. One of these days, I will actually use Dreamweaver to make the page first.
Also added a couple of links, just because I like those sites. Although I warn you now, don't go to Wankage if you are easily disturbed, especially by incest, shounen-ai, or male-pregnancy. (And what a hilarious male-birth scene that was....)

Yes, 69 cents per 100 dollars is too much. especially when I know I will have to be using the card for plane tickets and such in the near future.

You are such a meddler. I am glad that Aimee is such a nice person because I think I would be very angry if I were her.

Princess Tutu was really, really weird. I'm not even weirded out by the Fakia-Mute thing (thank you PoT) but the anteater! The anteater licking the little boy! The little boy not wearing any pants (and according to Tam-Linh, no underwear too!) Ack. Ack. Ack.
I think I was less traumatized by Mizuki's shirt...

I am too amused that someone made it here by searching for " is there a website that if you scan a picture of a male and female it can show you the a picture of their child?" How very, very, very odd..... I also find it strange that I'm getting hits from people looking for Koji's page.

Warning: Read no further if ye be of a weak disposition lest ye be sick of stomach.
Does that make sense? Ha! I am no English major.
Dissecting today... looking at the digestive systems of the shark and mink. First of all, I forgot how much they stank. Secondly, I can say for the first time, I actually thought what I looked at was gross. Gross. One of the other people in the class opened up their shark's stomach and found a fish, maybe 2/3 the size of the shark, inside. It was in two pieces, but it was distinctly a fish.
I opened up my fish and found this gooey paste of digested stuff. It looked like brown, watery, chunky hummus. We had to clean it out, and the only instruments we had aren't suited for scooping. I ended up just getting everything out with my hands and pulled the bigger chunks out with the tweezers. The girl I shared a lab bench with had a shark that apparently ate some eggs before it was killed. There were egg-like particles all throughout her shark's mouth and stomach. And the thing was oily too, so it was even more gross.
Eewewewewewewewewew.
The rest of the lab was pretty okay. The only thing was cracking the shark's jaw which was hard to do because the jaw was hard. The professor ended up doing it for most of us. I couldn't get a grip because the shark has some sharp teeth.
end of dissection ramble

got a wilbur account. When I have the time and energy, I will move my stuff over from the geocities site so that there will be no more pop-ups and no more iframes! Maybe I should do a new layout.... fall break perhaps, if I have the time.

EDIT: Keep forgetting to write this. I think you should go with the study and apply now strategy. But that is the lazy way to do things (ie, what I am doing with med school; I figure if I don't get accepted this year, I will retake the mcats during April and reapply next year.)

I would expect that from AOL, yes. What really bothered me was that they completely lied to me the first time I called them. Evil people.

This time I pushed the door and got in!! Now the moral dilemma of whether I should tell maintenance and campus po that the door doesn't close right (which would be the safety-conscious thing to do) or not tell them and come in and out of my own volition when I have the room scheduled (which would be the convenient thing to do).

Mizuki looks so funny on the big screen....

I have a bunny staying in my room right now! She's so cute! I hope she does not chew on any of the wires though, as fried bunny would not be good. (Joy, the owner of said bunny, is also staying in the room for the time being.)

Tam-Linh, thanks to you guys I have this song stuck in my head:
Life's gonna suck when you grow up
when you grow up
When you grow up
Life's gonna suck when you grow up
It sucks pretty bad right now.
I'm not even sure about that last line....

Saw Princess Tutu. It was on crack. The animals dating people bothered me. The anteater licking Mute-senpai bothered me. But the thing that bothered me the most is the little shota boy in a shirt and wearing no pants. ewewewewewewew.
And found out that Fakia's voice actor is Sakurai Takahiro who I have mistaken for Okiayu Ryoutarou before. Sakurai Takahiro was Sasame in Pretear.

The other series were on crack as well. The guy and the AI woman was really creepy. I think the best part of the showing was the Matrix ping pong.

Citibank is evil. I called about 2 weeks ago asking them to cancel this protection thingy they put on my card. The guy tells me that I don't have to pay for it if I pay my bills on time. Then I get the statement, and there's a charge for the stupid service. Called them again and told them to cancel. First the guy answering the phone was probably very tired because he kept asking me to repeat my info. That or he was trying very hard to confuse me because my address in their database was my home address not school address. So he asked for my new address, which I gave to him, and then he asks me if I moved or just have a new address.
Me: huh?
Him: Well, if you moved, you can activate the feature of the program by having them pay my bill for me. (at some price I'm sure).
Me: Uh, I don't want that.
Him: Are you sure? blah blah blah
Me: Yes.
Him: Well, how can I help you today?
Me: I want to cancel.
Him: Why do you want to cancel? Don't you think you need protection for your card?
Me: No, cancel.
Then he launches into the first prepared speech which outlined all the wonderful great features of the card and ends with "So I will go ahead and keep you on the program, okay?"
Uh, no. Cancel.
"Our program recently got some new features and blah blah blah... So I will keep you on the service, okay?"
Me: Cancel.
More blah blah blah.
Me: I just want to cancel.
Okay, then, I will cancel your enrollment and send you a confirmation yada yada yada.
Bleh.

Samba Max.... that is the name of the Ometto Samba remix. Weirdness (as expected from Cap to Bin).

It's not exactly midnight, but I am eating noodles....

Fangirling first: TeniPuri Radio #25 is cute. Hosts were Atobe and Tezuka, guests were Inui and Tomo-chan. Tomoka's voice actor has a very normal voice. Then she goes into Tomo-chan mode, and I cover my ears.
Silliness all around. Tezuka sends message to Tomo, and her reaction was pretty much "WTF?" Best part (or the reason I even like the little sucker) was when Ryoma got all worried about Karupin. Not exactly sure what went on, but it sounded like Kikumaru was doing his Kikumaru beam, and it had some strange effects. The first turned one of Oishi's fans into Eiji's fan. The second may have hit Karupin, leading to Ryoma yelling at Kiku and getting worried about his cat. I think Karupin turned into a lion? It all leads up to Ryoma being very cute. I don't generally like Ryoma, but when he is with his cat, he is a damned cute little snark-ass.
Taichi is an adorable little boy. And yes, we are getting corrupted with how much we were talking about Ryoma/Dan and Akutsu/Dan.

I don't know why I feel so bleh about stats. Well, I do know why. It's pretty simple stuff and I feel lazy so I don't work hard on it. That is bad as I totally messed up a bit of my pset by not reading the questions completely. It makes me feel stupid... and worried since my exam is tomorrow yet I feel no motivation to study. I am being so careless that it's not even funny.

Dummy dummy dummy dummy dummy. Always push the door, PUSH.
I was supposed to go to FND to refresh computers again, but when I got there, the doors were locked. Wandered around looking for the custodian, but the one I found didn't have the keys to the downstairs classrooms. The one I talked to yesterday was not around, so I spent 30 minutes looking and got nothing out of it. :( Worse yet, I decided to try the door handles one more time and when I jiggled it, it banged shut. The door had been slightly ajar! and I closed it! I feel so stupid. I should have known that the doors in FND are old and won't close correctly. stupid stupid stupid.
(Okay, so I don't know if the door was actually really ajar or if it were locked and secure and I just happened to bang it too hard, but I was still stupid anyway.)

*Bounce bounce*

New printer!!!!!

Well, not me, but my lab. well, not my lab, but the lab I manage. It's so cute! It's like 25% smaller than what was there before, and since it has a built-in duplexer, it shouldn't jam like crazy anymore! yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Atobe's album's covers are so incredibly amusing. Oh dear, what is it with the PoT people and purple?????

More dissecting today, this time mink. It was harder to do than the shark and ugly to boot. It was already skinned, but the fascia was so hard to get off. Anyway, I am contemplating naming the thing Taichi because his song was stuck in my head the entire 3 hours of lab. Except I think I have a female mink. But then again, Taichi's seiyuu must be a woman...

I'm feeling kinda happy today. I'm not sure why. Well, a couple of reasons... new printer, all supplementals sent out, and all comp letters requested. But I also have an exam coming up as well as being stuck here in fnd refreshing computers over and over again. (I was here till 8:45 last night, and they're still not working!!!!!!!!! >=-( But I'll take that up with my boss tomorrow.)

wheehee, you two both have spiffy new layouts. Will I be next?
Well, Mizuki's going to stay up there for a while... at least a little bit longer.
we should re-watch Hellsing. :D

I feel so sorry for the people who stumble upon my blog looking for information. Unfortunately for you, this is not that type of blog. this is really just my place to rant and fangirl over certain anime series.....
I rarely have anything up to share, but if asked, I probably would share. :-)
But I am so amused by these referrers:
Yahoo: chinese boys singing yatta
Google:  "can't uninstall ie6"
I don't have Chinese boys singing Yatta, how about some anime-otaku girls? And Microsoft is evil, no doubt.

This is exciting... blogging from a Mac for the first time. Currently at work at my SA assignment, refreshing the comps in the FND comp lab. I have a feeling I will learn to HATE the mac refreshing process as I have had to re-refresh three of the computers already because something went wrong on the first try. It also takes about 35 minutes each, so I will be doing this about 6 hours per week....... >:-( Oh well. At least the computers here have nice little tablets in addition to the mouse. They're kinda fun to play with, except not all of them work.
EDIT: I now know I do in fact HATE this process as two of three I have had to redo the process on is again nt working properly, meaning I will have refresh them a third time. :-( :-( I was supposed to leave at 8...... Looks like I'll be here until 8:30 at least. Glad I grabbed food before I came here.

I have... the TeniMyu songs stuck in my head again.

I don't think you've (MJ) been checking blogs for a while, but I think you wanted to see the seiyuu pages? Check the archive for I have posted a few of them up.

Shinji Voice Message uploaded

Because I've been talking about this to you so much about this. Was going to up Duckie's message too, but it's too big. :-( I'll just have to clear some space from my FC and post it there.

Watched PoT 87-88 subbed version tonight. Soooooo cute!!! The chibi cuteness will never cease to amuse me.
The animation for the special was so gorgeous, compared to the recent episodes. Lots of use of catchphrases and whatnot, but still so very cute. I <3<3<3 the chibis.
Fuji's fainting is so very amusing. He looks so pretty when he faints. Love Oishi. Poor Kiku, Ryusaki sensei was mean. Poor Oishi.
Shinji chibi was adorable. Love his mumbling. Akutsu is so cute as a chibi! His eyes especially made me want to laugh. I didn't even notice all the people in the background in the jail scene. Ryusaki sensei, Sakuno, and Mizuki!!! hehehe Also, chibi Karupin is lovely.

I was going to stop raving about PoT so much, really, because it hasn't been all that wonderful lately. But then I'm so weak against the chibis.... and the seiyuus.... and the musical. I think it came out on DVD yesterday? I want so much to see what the heck it looks like. Too bad it won't be out in America for a long long time. if ever.

Humidity will fry my brain. I know it will.

Can't believe I'm already into midterms season. bleh.
