Monday, August 18, 2003Was in Sacramento yesterday to visit my neice and nephew with my other nephew. Nephew no. 2 is the 1-year old who I think is a bit bratty. Nephew no. 1 is a 5-year old who is really, really sweet. Like "you-can-have-my-little-activities-book" or "your-character-beat-my-character-in-the-video-game-so-you're-powerful" type sweet. I adore him. He's a fun little kid. Then there's my neice who is slightly autistic (she doesn't speak) but is also really fun. Ahhh, I'll miss them. My sister had this scale that measures body fat percentage. Without saying how much I weigh (a lot) and what percentage of my weight is fat (also a lot), I can say that my non-fat weight, according to the scale, is slightly less than 110 lbs. That's the same as my sister who is 4 inches taller than me. That (meaning if I had 0-percent body fat) is also a perfectly normal weight according to the BMI. Personally, I find that to be a bit disturbing. Oh well. Too bad I don't really give a bleep about my health. You guys could skip this.... I'm just thinking "out loud". Since the many people that inspired this do not read the blog and you guys don't really read theirs (I think, I mean, I don't usually read all their blogs), it'll just be me blathering on and on...
06:07 p.m.Saturday, August 16, 2003Congrats Gloria!!!!!!!You're done, you're done, you're done! Woohoo. As for being sick for the MCATs, doesn't it suck?? I was at the end of the stomach flu when I took it, and the only food I had that day was a small puch of strawberry Pocky. (Ahh, behold my wonderful eating habits when sick. They're almost as bad as my Spring Break eating habits.) I think the stress is like some devious disease - one that strikes at your immune system so you think you're okay, but it manifests itself at the the most inopportune moments. I got sick for both the MCATs and finals fall semester last year... Ooh, ooh, have fun with Sarah. Show her why California is better than West Virginia and give her a big one of these: :-PBabysat nephew today. He was sick again. He gets sick a lot. (He was sick just last week too.) Rewatched a few episode of Furuba today. 1-4. Almost forgot how much I love this series. Kyou, Tohru, Yuki, Kagura, Hana-chan, and Uo are great, but I ****heart**** Gure. It kills me that that's Tezuka's voice. He is so evil... he and Ayame would get along so well with Fuji. Fuji and Ayame can share tips on how to annoy their otoutou-kun's.
Look, I fangirled about something other than PoT! If I get a chance, I'm rewatching Hellsing too. That'll give me something to REALLY fangirl over. *cackle* 07:01 p.m.Friday, August 15, 2003GOOD LUCK Gloria!!!!!!!!!MCATS will be over in 24 hours!!! I hope the blackout won't affect anything! Ganbatte Gloria!Been reading a lot on episode 95... apparently, it's a Fuji-fangirl's dream. Can't wait to see it. When I read the manga version of the storyline, I was practically bouncing around in my seat because it was so exciting. :) :) :)
Did I ever mention we now have a fence? Yay!!! It's a chain-link fence, but a fence nevertheless. The uncle that is here from Hong Kong put it up. My mother pretty much promptly put him to work as he is now also fixing our stairs.... I thought he was just an architect and not a construction guy.... oh well. Very grateful, but also sympathetic as my mother roped him into doing all that stuff. Yay to seeing you online again. Is Sarah going to your place soon? There's only a week left before she goes back to school, so it seems weird that she'll fly all the way out here.
Reunion with classmates will not happen. I contacted 4 of them and three of them aren't in the area. Er... I've done my part. I can't be accused of being anti-social anymore. I am beginning to dislike the Registrar's office. I've been contacting them for a week now, but still haven't received an answer. Grrr. 03:00 p.m.Wednesday, August 13, 2003My printer is on crack. No, seriously. It likes to pull in 15 sheets of paper when printing or pull the paper in crooked. The only time it's printed nicely for me was yesterday when I was infected with the Blaster worm. So... take that rant as a warning NOT to buy the Lexmark X63. I wish I were more organized way back when. I'm scrambling to find my high school GPA, and I've tried contacting the Registrar's office and my old high school, neither of whom has gotten back to me. Now trying admissions office as well. I wish it were enough to say 3-point-something, but I bet that won't fly. Chris still hasn't sent me his notes... At this rate, he might as well just leave them outside his door for me. 05:30 p.m.Tuesday, August 12, 2003I just needed to keep this somewhere before I forget it. I spent about 2 hours on it already. Looking for Kochira Hon Ikegami Sho stuff? This is the official site for it. English-wise, I don't think there's much info on it. This was the best I found. :(
I am weird.... I got some sadistic amusement out of hearing "Ore wa Momochan" come on while I was eating a peach. 03:05 p.m.Monday, August 11, 2003Grr... The friend that I saw at the reunion way back when called today because we were talking about trying to get everyone together for a class reunion. He called and told me about how he couldn't get in touch with anyone and asked me if I had the phone numbers of the other people. I looked a couple of them up online, and got their emails and one phone number. (Didja know UCLA gives out your email, phone number, and address to just anyone online?) Anyway, I told him I got them and I would email it to him, and at the very end, he just said, "Well, it seems like you have all their numbers and all, so why don't you call them?" Bleh. bleh. bleh. Darn it. How did I get roped into this????? Stupid Microsoft. You're just making me want to switch to Apple so badly. Lucky for you, Macs are usually more expensive than PCs. I kept getting kicked off today because of this RPC thing, which I found out was a hole in the security of the system and had to install this patch thingy, etc. It was really annoying because before the patch, the machine kept having to reboot every five minutes. Sorry, I left all my MCATs stuff at school. I shoulda given them to you before I left so that you could have used them. :-(
Don't worry, Tam-Linh! You'll be back at school pretty soon with your T3 and all... That is assuming our connection don't get messed up. And yay for PoT not being licensed.. A-O would have stopped subbing if it had, right? I still wonder what language Taka-san would yell in in his burning mode.... Xanga isn't loading. :-( 06:27 p.m.Sunday, August 10, 2003Ganbatte, MJ!!!!! You can do it!One more week and the MCATs will be over! Then you have a year to not worry before the apps!!!! Kick butt!!!!! So yeah, like I said, the scores are scaled and I think it's easier to do better on the practice exams. It definitely depends on the books you use. I would say that if you get, say, a 10 on the practice, your actual score would probably be somewhere 8 to 12. The election is a farce. What's your classmates' name? I want to see it on the ballot. There's like 100 candidates or something. You want to talk about corrupt? I've been listening to an anime song about "bouncing boobies", downloadable from Jen's website. (Have I ever mentioned how much I love her blog? :) :) :) ) It's also heard in some of the TeniPuri Radio shows as a commercial Still feeling sick, but a little better today. Still, the coughdrops that you gave me back in December are coming in quite handy. Thank you, thank you, thank you. :) Had sushi today (yes, even though I'm sick). Quite yummy. It was a buffet and since I've been sick, my appetite has pretty much disappeared, so I ate one plate of food while my sister had maybe 4? Got the TeniPuri musical songs stuck in my head. fun fun. Now I don't even have to listen to the mp3, I can just play it in my head. Dude, if I thought about sex as much as I think about anime (specifically PoT, this past semester), I'd be a guy. 03:28 p.m. |

Layout: Episode 64 screencap by Oro_noda at CaptiveHearts. Look at the things Inui's throwing into the pot. You can see his ingredients are (among other things) a voodoo doll and a pair of boys underwear. Yeah, I think Inui's really the lechiest of all the Seigaku boys. Even Fuji has a sweatdrop. It really begs the question: Just exactly whose underpants are those? *cackle* My traveling bookmarks: Blogs:

I have just a little too much time on my hands this summer. You must be pretty bored too to be here. Anyway, this is a way for me to stave off boredom-induced comas until I find something better to do. Other things I'm doing: watching too much TV, rewatching old episodes of PoT.
