yeh! great turn out today - enming, chris, jx and me! haha. we reached damn early, and the guys fell asleep! maybe it was just the morning or smth, but i totally felt like going home to do smth else. but out on the water, wow! that feeling disappeared almost immediately. anyway, dunno if it was training for us or them. 2 person sailing was great, haha but we only did it till we reached raufie. 2v2 guys!!

sailing standard today was a big change, but you can't really tell if u haven't sailed in ages. had lotsa trouble! but i'm quite proud of myself haha. :P then again, we didn't really do long upwinds. soo. hope i've got a tan now!

woo! :} i'm back from prom. can you believe it, conrad's hotel lobby is SMOKER haven. tmd.

prom was great! woo. everyone looked so pretty, even the boys. pretty boys. eheh. and we had an unbelievable lame, bisexual host. pity some people weren't there! think our table was one of the few tables that ate most of the food, which was pretty good imho. took lots of pictures! i uploaded them onto my comp, but not online yet. ooh, the room was nice too. only the bathroom was like half the size of the whole hotel room. ended up doing makeup and hair in there. wah. i must say, it's nice to have ppl fussing over you :P but then you still can hear people running up and down the corridor lol. just like in malacca. yeaaa. not even feeling tired, had a pretty good night.

anyway, dinner with sailors tonight supposedly. still dunno where.. gosh. i feel like going down to sea sports centre tmr. and the day after. and the day after.. :p jealous!! everyone seems to have gotten a tan except me.

erps. found out my dad gave away a laser printer that i could be using instead of this lousy, nearly obsolete, slow deskjet! tmd. i ran out of ink yesterday while printing tons and tons of stuff, but thankfully they stock the ink cartridge at thompson. then today, i ran out of paper. -_- how sad is that. going insane trying to memorize all this stuff, but i'll probably not be able to recall a complete quote come tuesday anyway.

today's (morning at least) the perfect day to be at the beach!! parents thinking of going bali/langkawi for holiday, since i told them no sightseeing for me therefore no china (hahahaha), no maldives, no australia for me i guess. i checked out tanjong rhu, bleh the rates are phooooe. but it's a nice place! really really really really nice. i could just put up a tent and use their facilities haha, then i wouldn't have to pay.

jealous jealous, everyone's out doing dunno what now. shopping, stuff. i wanna go shopping haha, just that i've never had a particularly great shopping experience with friends :P the best person to shop with is mom, but you can't really tell until you shop with someone else, cos she's quite fussy about stuff. i guess then, at least she's brutally honest. and she gets tired too, after 4 hrs of shopping and spending money for someone else.

off to eat prawn crackers (finally after so many days of no junkfood), and try and decipher some of this economic stuff!

agh, econs s seems so far away that I feel like slacking. It's time to plan post-A lvl activities, christmas lists and so on. Speaking of which, I feel like doing more math etc, life feels quite empty everytime the holidays come around. I'm actually quite glad when the term begins again.

There are lots of people I shld have gotten to know better, but never did, and there are some that I'm grateful to know. I don't have loads of people on my icq/msn, so if you wanna talk or smth, just add me. I know I'm not particularly chatty some of the time, but it's going to be a long eight or nine months. And if you need ppl to play stuff, I guess I don't really mind/I'd love too.

LOUSY SERVICE

mom and I went to check out the food at j8 today. We decided to eat Cafe Cartel..

BIG MISTAKE!

P.S. don't ever bring me there again. the food sucks. the service sucks.

so we were standing at the entrance, waiting for someone to tell us where to sit. After a while, we asked this fella who was busy wiping the table and ignoring us whether we could get some service... Being cartel virgins, we didn't know then that we could sit anywhere. He rudely told us "it's free seating! sit anywhere lah!"

My st louis ribs were vaguely cold. they're supposed to be hot btw. Mom's sandwich was too mayonnaisey, plus according to her the meat was too oily so she got it changed to a Waldorf salad.

According to the menu, it's supposed to be "iceberg lettuce" and "tossed". Well... cartel salad is US lettuce, and it isn't tossed. Plus it comes on a plate. WHAT KIND OF SALAD COMES ON A PLATE?!!!! She spent 5 min trying to tell the asst manager what iceberg lettuce was. The asst manager said her manager told her not to say anything?!! And according to the kitchen that was iceberg lettuce, and she knew outside it wasn't, but HERE in cartel, it was called iceberg lettuce?!! wtf. haha. Plus after we reminded them about the appetizer - soup, that was supposed to appear first, they brought out the soup, then MORE st. louis ribs, and MORE salad.

And they ran out of satchets of sugar for coffee. So they gave this plastic container of sugar.. hmm. i'm told the manager's a bitch.

the highlight was the bread. how sad is that. free bread, fresh and as much as you want.

AND THEN, we found out that cedele had opened upstairs, so we coulda eaten there! bleh. We got 1-for-1 cake! :) and also din tai fung's open downstairs next to secret recipe.

so don't eat at cafe cartel. it's a stupid place, just like sakae. and i came online specially to kaobei.

hmm. I wanted to watch OC on thurs, but then I decided to finish the chapter I was studying... But then they were only showing bollywood movies all day!!! hmmph. I don't mind bollywood movies... but I'd rather they weren't dramas, more like the funny ones with lots and lots and lots of dancing heehee. :) ugh. oh yeh. DOUBLE TRIPLE days!

5 noisy noises that annoy me:

1. the boy living across from my house who always shouts at ?!! in hokkien - can hear damn loudly in the bathroom upstairs.

2. little kiddies downstairs - pap kindergarten in my block. they go out to play during break and aft sch in the playground nearby too

3. garbage collector who drives a squeaky garbage collecting machine thingy

4. grasscutters (THEY CUT THE GRASS EVERY FRICKING DAY?!!) - apparently the cutters who cut in the blocks and those who cut opposite the park are under different jurisdiction so they just cut cut cut every day

5. the rubbish chute - i sit next to the rubbish chute to study. it doesn't stink. but at the SAME time every day, for abt an hour or so, there's this flushing sound. maybe someone's peeing into the chute?! came up to escape the sound for a bit

6. NOISY NOISES!! grrr.

i'm beginning to realize how close a lvls are. omg? gp next week? i hadn't realized it was this close.

top models yest! camille was totally off.. as usual. why is it always these blacks who have this sort of superior complex? ok there are some annoying white people who do too, but it isn't featured that prominently unlike umm.. omarosa from apprentice.

watching too much tv, from 7 i sit there (like an auntie, according to mom) and then aft dinner, i just can't move from the sofa.. i try to multitask but it's really bad i think, the brain doesn't focus that well.

anyway. i have decided to quit watching tv, except for the chinese show at 9pm, csi on mon tues and wed, top models on monday, oc on thurs, singapore idol on thurs, discovery channel (educational) and random cartoons. ok. so much for quitting. anyway, i thought there was smth to watch on tuesday nights... :/

quit internet? wahah. i could waste one hour blog surfing. minimum. and there's not enough tasty food to eat at home. i hate having this almost sorethroat. just got back from a strange lunch at dome! never eaten black pepper beef fettucine before. i must say it tastes more like chinese noodles haha. crayfish spaghetti is a much safer choice!

brother might be going to boarding sch!! :( i'll definitely miss him. he takes out the trash, and fixes the comp, and screws up the comp, collects the mail, and waters the plants and the fountain... ok i'll miss him not JUST cos he does all that. :/ the hse will be so quiet!! aye. hope he bucks up and starts mugging.

oh yea. height is SUCH a major factor. i never realized before. but now i do... being short(er) totally limits what you can wear. high heels help make you taller but it still limits the range. leg extensions? i dunno. guess you gotta be small and petite and wear miniskirts!

bah the weather is making me misss misss miss certain things. (think boat)

hallo, just got back from an awful dinner at kenny rogers' and the unsuccessful hunt for a punching bag that won't cause our ceiling to collapse! kenny rogers' must be rolling around and around in his grave man!

they used to have chickens being roasted where everyone could see them, but now they don't anymore. plus the side dishes have probably been sitting there for like the whole day.. totally not value for money!

it rained again today. the weather's been absolutely awesome, very very very cool.

and it's beginning to remind me of this time last yr, on saturdays, we'd be making our way to nsc early in the morning, rain or shine. the clouds would be zooming past, just as they do now. i remember the times when there were just the few of us turning up the best. they were probably the most fun times cos we had the most flexible schedules.

random thoughts:
1. being cold at sea!
2. counting the number of times it rains to see how many hugs i owe?
3. derigging in the rain.
4. stoning and doing stupid things

oh was a washout, o well! no point really, not like they're going to visit old campus!

i'm very sorry to the j1 i laughed at in the toilet cos she screamed when there was thunder! i thought it was alina :( really!

aft lunch with renji and ali and mz, went to town with mz to get her dress changed. haa the perfect in black guy is so talkative. and there was this mother there was kept talking to us also. at least mz got smth that was SHORT! haha. maybe i could have eventually convinced her to wear the bikini and wrap around translucent skirt we saw...

for the past few days, i've been getting pop ups with the title MESSENGER SERVICE every half an hour or so, from websites such as windowspatch.com or win-fix.com (don't visit them) and etc. usually we shut down the computer for the night so we don't really get that many pop-ups.

this morning, i woke up to find the computer still running and me still logged on. and many many many many pop-ups. each had a different timestamp bleah.

so i went to search for it. and it turns out it's actually part of friggin microsoft/windows!! it's called Windows Messenger Service, not the same as MSN or windows messenger. it uses a standard command line program called Net Send, that they use to generate the message, yes your computer has it. and companies are exploiting it to flood your comp with rubbish!

ok so here's a program to get rid of it -- Shoot the Messenger

yay. :) at least i have company for 3 mths :P ok 4 really

anywaayyy. now that i'm not using ie, i don't have that silly lop.com problem. but what i do have, is this FRIGGING win-fix.com popup! every few minutes/half an hour. haha and it accumulates.

i was going to stay home and mug the whole day! but then the part time cleaner came, and she asked me 5 questions i didn't know the answer to in one hour, so i decided i couldn't take it anymore and left... studied at starbucks thompson, but wah. every 20 minutes, someone will drag 30 trolleys along from the yamaha side to ntuc. so it's damn annoying.

and the newspaper lady likes to talk to me also, but in hokkien or something, so i just keep saying yah, yah yah.. but she still keeps talking hmm.

btw, cos ren keeps visiting cheang these days, i want to say that i love cheang and she is inspiring. in sec sch my math was only so so, and i got c6 for prelim a math, and in vj i got 60+ for math test, so i love cheang.

i think ren loves cheang too (*hint*)

i'm not using ie again. anyway, in a SAD SAD attempt to get rid of lop.com, i used pestpatrol to scan thru my whole hard drive. it took damn long. then i clicked on remove programs, and it told me that i had to pay for it to remove stuff. so what did i do? i removed everything manually... and ended up deleting stuff from the registry. haha. did you know that i just found out i had a registry a few days ago? didn't know how much harm i could cause by deleting stuff. so what happened was that my wallpaper disappeared, and i couldn't open ie! so i restarted... again and again and again and again.. and it wouldn't boot up! i was damn scared that everything would be lost. but then thankfully, we just had to reinstall windows. phew. shiv.

spybot told me tt pestpatrol gives some false negatives. adaware doesn't detect some of what spybot does... wah. get a mac!! sure. anyway i can't delete adaware, i need it!!! meanwhile, i'm gonna use opera (which does have popups, but like from amazon and stuff, comes with the program), or like mozilla. bleh.

anyway don't patronise the sakae sushi at bishan. there's a mega bitchy woman (who might be the same one from wheelock, or they might be sisters) who told us to go away and come back at 3 for buffet. then we came back at three, then she said wait another 5 minutes... as in, we couldn't even sit down and wait even though the place is half-empty and she didn't give a valid reason for waiting another 5 minutes either. so wtf? screw you fat bitch! i bet you have no control over your life so you have to bitch at other ppl. i'm sure we'll eat like 128732732899290 more sushi in 5 minutes anyway.

CSI is the best! i never have to mute the tv =p cos everything's exciting and there's nth much to make your cringe. that explains why i always mute the tv during chinese shows and a lot during singapore idol! k got half of sunday night csi left.. plus tons of law and order!

anyway, what i was abt to say was that we should be lucky cos we have abt the best set of tutors in the level. at least they're all committed and sincere abt helping us, and at least they're not coxed like mona or inge or whatever. tt day when al was despairing over econs and looking for a tutor to help her, i felt quite sad and anxious for her cos i mean, seriously what do you do when ur tutor is crap? find someone else? there's always the possibility that ur tutor will get pissed off at u, or that there might be no one free/willing to help you. at least ours are always willing right

WAH my teef finally feel clean! :) rather tired actually, didn't sleep much but then slept all the way back on train.

went for class chalet yest... at first i spent 7 to 10 watching tv, thinking it'd be like this the whole night! :P but nooo. we ended up hiking/trekking/walking to changi village for tranniespotting (sounds rather zooish). and i didn't see any at all!! until we got to the bball court and jetty and back to the bball court. we played bball in the dark, absolutely no lights on court. kinda cool, esp since some of the guys were a bit high. ok maybe only one. and it's damn dark so no one could really estimate where the ball was gonna bounce to, plus can sneak attack! lol. if you're thinking, thank god i didn't come, i don't wanna get sweaty, well too bad! it was quite fun :) esp since almost the whole class was there... don't think we'll ever be able to do smth like that again. and yixin and alex and kang talked to this trannie and pretended to be lost. -_- yahyah. wanted to go sailing this morning, but aiyah sad lah only F and B and jackpot room can use?!! crazy. so we left kang yixin and alex tanning on the beach. okok gtg mom waiting for me.

anyway. i was at starbucks earlier today trying to study. when this kaobei woman came along with her little son and kaobeied the guy next to me for taking up two tables. then she started kaobeiing her son in cantonese while making him do this chinese assessment book. wah lao. pity i can understand cantonese. i kept staring at her lah. just kept scolding her son, i felt so sympathetic for him. but you this sort of auntie, if you tell them to f off and leave their son alone, they'll tell u to butt out, so anyway. he just kept getting more and more frustrated and eventually he started to cry. his mom kept scolding him and like a couple of times got up and held his hand to write -_- one time he grabbed the pencil with his left hand and his mother kaobeied him cos he writes with his right hand. erps. no, it's not the smokers this time. it's those people burning incense and paper and all that other rubbish! gee. while china is busy populating the earth, they're also busy polluting the earth. imagine, if a 100 million of them got together to burn paper to their ancestors at the same time, how much fucking pollution that would be. ancestral worship bleh. how are you supposed to talk to ANY otherworldly people if they can't even see you through all the smog. wtf. stop pollution stop pollution, blah blah. why not start with getting these people to find another way to communicate with their gods/ancestors. every little bit counts after all. not that this bit is little, mind you. i doubt they really need free paper maids in hell... or bmw roadsters either. plus consider the extra work all the cleaners have to do cos of burning rubbish heaps. they have to scrape it off the floor and put it somewhere else to continue burning. it leaves marks on the floor and it leaves a mess. so you pay taxes (please the cleaners aren't paid what they should be paid to scrape your shit off the floor). that doesn't mean you can leave all your shit lying all over the floor, does it? so obviously you can't leave your candles, your food, your burning paper all over the floor either. especially not in the middle of a pedestrian's path. i've seen large drain gratings covered with ash. the grass around it becomes ashed too. and ash is light and likes to fly around like a pest of a fairy and gets onto your clothes, along with the smell of smoke. so YOU like to smell of smoke? go and stand in a bloody room and burn yourself down, why not. yeah you and the whole of china can build a little greenhouse dome and go live in it and burn it all down! then you won't have to burn anything else, you'll just be in hell with your relatives. make sure you bring along your paper maids! -_-

did i mention the silly 'Energy' fan girls/boys sitting in the middle of the new section of j8? Energy's coming to j8 on sat... they were there from yesterday... Don't they have like parents or smth.

went to guthrie to study. and ediblize some lunch today. very strange behaviour. hurh.

singapore idol tonight! so much for study study. watch so much tv. i saw charmed yesterday. how come they show charmed on prime time?! there's violence and killing, and witchery and also sexy bits. wah. but i appreciate the prime time schedule. watched the 7 pm show also. so i kept darting in and out of the kitchen to watch tv bleh. and this lame-o show called school flower and grass erps which is ReaAllly lame. like seriously. watch it and u'll understand. unless that's the real quality hahah. but it's so embarrassing anyway.

bio is really slow going. 3h per topic. i don't have 3h for every bio topic!! how. rj notes are quite waste time. except biotech. think i shall get a study guide.

i tried feta cheese (goat's milk) today.. and it was disgusting. maybe it's just feta cheese. or is it the goat's milk... it tasted like they just removed it from baby's diapers or smth.

and i have some strange chinese lozenges in front of me - milk powder, pill form. it is, literally, milk powder. wah. silly chinese people.

bleh. so much for watching movie. wasted my day lah. for the most part. do i look like i have reduced mental capacity cos i'm 1 month under 18? rather frustrating... and cheang wasn't around either... none of the teachers were - effects of the 5 day week? it sucks. they better boost the birthrate (though i can't imagine what cheang's kids would be like... mix of cheang and cheang)

nevertheless... i don't like being referred to as the HO. it sounds like THE chinese high school... etc etc.
