Even though I have been on marternity leave since Oct 1st, I got a big fat Christmas gift check from work today. I totally didn't except it. Woohoo.

John gave me the LOR: Return of the King EE DVD for Christmas. Another woohoo. Haven't got a chance to watch it yet, since I need a whole day for the bonus marterial alone.

It has been pouring rain/flooding here like crazy. Even the LA river was flooded, that tells you how much rain we had. According to the weather, it's supposed to rain into the New Year.

Yesterday I scrubbed and sprayed, and the two bathrooms were/are clean and clutterless. Yay for me.

Today I went to the Santa Anita Mall to do some shopping. I got there nice and early, 10 to 9. Very few people were at that time; it meant no lines and no stress. (Before that I stopped by at the post office to pick up another Christmas package for the kids. Once again, since I was early, no line!) The mall has expanded since October, one of the expansions I love the most is that they have a family lounge area, which consists of 3-4 changing tables, 3 enclosed nursing rooms. I love a child friendly facility. As much as I nurse in public if I have to, but I rather prefer to nurse in private. After Amber was born, I printed out a law which allow women to nurse legally in public in 32 states, California being one of them. I keep it in the diaper bag. If anyone has a problem with me nursing in public, I am all ready to shove it in their face and tell them to take a hike. Fortunatly I do not need to do this as of now.

Tomorrow the poor baby is getting her 2-month examination and shots. :(

This morning John went to the convention center in downtown LA to be swore in and get his US citizenship certificate. Yay.

After he got home shortly after noon, I left him with Amber and went to old town Pasadena. I needed to get some curtains at the z-galleriefor my cousin in Baltimore. It was a mayhem at one clock in old town. Every single parking garage was full. Luckily I only needed to circle around for 5 minutes to snatch a curb parking and the meter still had an hour left on it. Just to be safe I put in a couple of quarters in.

As I was walking to z-gallery, I past a Container Store. I could have died right there, and been a really happy woman. I love containers. But I contained myself buying anything. Mostly because I was short on time. HAH. Contained myself from the Container store. Yeah, I cracked myself up. :)

Anyway, I got my cousin's curtains. Splurged a little at Crate and Barrel.

I went home after that, since we needed to be at JE’s school at three for his school holiday party/performance. They did a really good, I have photos and video to prove it. Afterwards, we had pot-luck. The food was really yummy. JE got his Christmas exchange gift (A bath fishing and bubble bath set) and took his photo with Santa. Now we are home and he’s playing "Zelda Wind Waker" on the Gamecube with his daddy.

I was cleaning my underwear draw; I have 37 pairs of g-strings. Not mention other dozens of regular undies. How did I accumulate so many of them? *faint*

I have done four loads of laundry so far.

Our Christmas tree is up. It’s an artificial tree that John got a couple of years ago. Although I like the smell of a real tree, in the long run, an artificial one is a lot cheaper. John Edward helped me to put all the ornaments up. It’s looking good.

Today I brought Amber to John’s work to have lunch with him and do some shopping, and to show off A. All John’s female co-workers all cooed over her. Heh.

When we got home, guess what’s waiting for us in the mail box? My order of "Shrek 2" and "Harry Potter: and the Prisoner of the Azkaban". Woohoo. We cracked open Shrek 2 and watched it with JE. It has a lot of funny Special Features. He off course loved it. We have seen both movies already in the theatre (but JE hasn’t seen Harry Potter and don’t think we will let him to), but since we like them very much, it doesn’t hurt to watch them again.

Last night I went out shopping with my mom, I got inexpensive but practical gifts for JE’s teachers. It’s always so hard to get gifts for his teachers, so it was really good that I got their gifts in the first store we went in.

All the Christmas cards are sent out. We got our very first cards today from the Xinher and John’s uncle and aunt in Australia. Yay.

If not for Anzac (our dog) barking this morning at 8:30, both Amber and I would have continued to sleep on. Yes, you read correctly, Amber slept through the night until 8:30 this morning. Woohoo. I couldn't believe it myself, and she isn't even two month yet. In the past week, she was sleeping through until 6:30ish. All I can say is I am thankful that both of my kids were/are really good at sleeping through the night when they were/are infants.

Yesterday I was cleaning the house/closet and doing laundry like crazy. I packed away four more bags to be given away. I can't believe how much clothes I have. By watching all the organization shows on TV totally motivated me to clean up all the clutters, especially in the closet. Result of this, I didn't touch the computer until 3pm. Heh.

Tonight I am doing the last leg of Christmas shopping with my mom, giving myself a break from the house and kids. And our Christmas photo cards have arrived, I will be sending them out by the end of this week.
