We had a very nice Thanksgiving dinner with the family at my parents’ last night. This year we only had eight people, but it was intimate and the conversation was good. My parents cooked all the side dishes; my cousin cooked the turkey. I am not a turkey person, but this one was ggggggggood. Both John and I helped ourselves with a second plate. Since I just had the baby a month ago, I didn’t cook anything this year, only brought the apple ciders and a bottle of red wine. Most of all Amber slept through dinner, which gave me amper time to eat, then feed her afterwards.
Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving as well, or just a good day in general.

We are done about 80% of our Christmas shopping. Pretty proud of ourselves (myself). I like to do Christmas shopping early, so don't have to venture into stores when peek shopping time hits.
Last of the visiting relative has left today. She stayed for 10 days. Unfortunately I have A. with me, otherwise I would have spent more time with her.
Tomorrow A. will be one-month old, she is getting her first shot at her pediatrician. Poor baby.
Since two years ago John and I have participated in the annual Holiday Hunt, which Xinh introduced us into. It's almost the end of Nov, we haven't got any info/invite from last year's winner yet. I wonder... But we have to pass this year, now we just had a newborn, don't really want to particiate in any "dangerous" sport. One never knows.
I'm just rambling on. I will leave you alone now.

It is a very late entry about our weekend. You can get most of the scoop for Sunday from Xinh. It was totally pointless for me to watch Jun-On The Grudge, since about 95% the time I had my eyes covered. Although like Xinh said it wasn’t that freaky, I still imagined the kid would be my side of bed when I woke up to feed Amber last night.
All day long Saturday it was all about family get-together. Lunch here and dinner there. It was a bit over-whelming for me since I have to feed A. every few hours. But for all the yummy food, it was worth it. Heh.
This afternoon I took JE to a playdate with his two cousins at a park in Pasadena. It was the first time I had to take both kids out all by me lonesome self. It was a bit challenge in the beginning. But I soon mastered the baby soft carrier and all went well. JE had lots of fun. He was super good, listened to my every “command”. HAH. Just wish he’s like this everyday.

I am back. Just been adjusting back to have a baby in the house again. Now Amber has developed a sleeping and eating pattern, I have a bit more time on my hand. Guess what? She has a full set of black hair and blue eyes. How pretty is that?
My two favorite cousins’ are here for the long weekend. One is from Chicago, and the other is from Sterling, Virginia area. It is very rare we have all the families together. Last night we went to Dave and Buster’s to have a family get-together. Per my cousins’ requests, who are the hosts of the party, John and I helped to organize the party for them. It turned out really well. The food was good. The adults chitchatted among themselves. The kids had fun at the game area. Everyone wooed and awwed over Amber and she got a few gifts from the aunts and uncles.
Today John took JE to his first Disneyland trip. Wish I could go with them, but it would be too much trouble feeding a baby every few hours in a crowded amusement park. Maybe in a couple of years, we will take a Disney cruise with the kids.
Now I must get back to my baby. She is crying for food.
