Yesterday we went for Amber’s first doctor’s appointment, everything was fine, except her weight was down 10% from her birth weight. Her pediatrician thought it was possible due to the fact that she isn’t latching on my breasts properly, so she sent in the lactation expert to give me a proper education on how to breastfeed correctly. Man, did she do a good job on it. After an afternoon of almost non-stop feeding, the right way, my breasts went from feeling like I just had a boob job to looking like I just had a boob job, but without the pain. HAH. And at today’s recheck-up, Amber’s weight was up by 6 oz. Woohoo. So everything looks fine and dandy now.

Afterwards we did some shopping at Target’s, mainly to get some candies and juices for JE’s school Hawlloween party on Friday and the Trick n’ Treat on Sunday.

Otherwise things are pretty boring, right now my life consists of feeding, sleeping, eating, and occasionly doing some housework.

Things I missed the most while was pregnant:

1) Wear jeans (I know there are maternity jeans, but they ain’t the same)
2) Drink regular coffee, however many cups I want
3) Eat sushi
4) Sleeping on my back

Now I have the baby, I can do all those things again. Yay! Well, except drinking excessive amount of coffee. :)

So I am adjusting back to waking up every 2-3 hours to feed the little one. Thank God that John is home for the first two weeks to help me out with house works.

Although JE is really into Amber, being the big brother he is, I think he is a wee bit jealous with her. Especially when I’m feeding and cradling her. So yesterday while he’s with my parents, John went out to get a couple toys for him and gave to him when he got dropped off. It seemed to help a bit.

Can’t write too much. Busy, busy...

Oh it rained so bad last night. I woke up several times at night from the howling of the wind.

Since JE was with my parents last night, I decided to wake up nice and early to drive John to the bus station, instead of him waiting in the wet and cold. When we pulled out our garage, one of the trees in our complex got pulled out of its root. It was bad. There was so much water on the road. Still there were a-holes driving crazy and trying to die early.

Hopefully the rain will ease up. It will suck to drive to the hospital in the rain.

Yesterday afternoon I headed out to John’s work for the shower. They told me to be there around 2pm. After getting ready and getting on the freeway at 1:30pm, what the heck? Major traffic jam, which should not have been at that hour. So I called John to tell him I would be late and after crawling at 10 MPH for several exits, found out it was a vehicle caught on fire. All it was left of it was 4 wheels and its frame. Nasty!

I still got there in good time. All John's co-workers piled into the conference room. They ordered a cake for us. It was really, really yummy. John's supervisor presented us a gift card from the R Us store. It was very lovely. Thank you, thank you. It comes in handy, can't ever have enough R Us $$. :)

When John got off work at 4pm, we headed out to Santa Monica to check out what all the yahooing is about this Fred Segal annual sale. OMG, it was incredible! The sale was unbelievable. (Thanks Amber) Of course John was bored out of his mind, he got a cup of coffee and sat out to read his book while I shopped. I got a few really inexpensive and nice tops. So I am all satisfied with my curiosity about Fred Segal, and definitely going back there next year. We didn't want to drive back yet, since it would still be traffic galore on the freeway. We ended up having dinner at this nice Greek cafe on 3rd Street Promenade. Although we had dessert four hours ago, we both wolfed down our dinner. It was very yummy.

I am on the 39th week now. Only one week to go. Everything is ready now, I think. We moved the bassinet to my side of my bed, just to make our lives easier for the first month. Diapers and wipes are stocked. All we are waiting for is the arrival of our newborn. I so can not wait! JE has been super attached to the baby, it’s just so cute watching him hugging and rubbing my tummy and calling the baby’s name. We have been telling him that it might not be a girl, so be prepared. Guess what he said? "I KNOW it's girl." He must be picking up some psychic connection that we don't know about. ;)

I am still here. And no, the baby hasn't arrived yet. But I did have some minor pain on my tummy around 1ish this morning, but it ended up as a false alarm.

It’s funny now that I have all the free time in the world, I do not write. But when I was at work, I wasted my time doing anything but actual works. Heh.

Going to John's work later this afternoon, his co-workers are throwing a baby shower for us. It should be good. Until later.

Hugs to all.

I have been on maternity leave since last Friday, but Monday was the first day that I was home by myself after dropping John Edward off at school. The house was nice and quiet. I got so much housework done, I was really proud of myself.

Today I went to Target to stock up on all the necessities, so I don’t have to worry about going to the store after the baby is born. I love Target, but every time I go there, a big chunk of changes goes into someone's already fat pocket. Afterwards I stopped by at the Santa Anita mall to grab something to eat. And I scored on the parking spot for Expectant Mother Only. Woohoo.

Anyway while I was in Old Navy, I saw something or someone that could make me to have the baby right there. There was this old lady, between 60-70 I think. And she was wearing PINK from head to toe. She had a pink hat, some floral dangling earrings, a pink top, and a pink mini skirt! She cracked me up, and I wanted to faint at the same time. Too funny.

It is so nice that I don’t have to wake up at 6:30 in the morning, to rush and rush to get JE and myself ready. But since I have all the free time in the world now, I tend to spend too much as well.

The baby refuses to come out. She isn’t due until the 21st, but I can feel her very, very low against my pelvis. All is good I guess. :)

Yesterday after breakfast, I took JE to the newly opened AMC theatre at the Santa Anita mall to see “Shark Tales”. It was really good, I personally enjoyed it. I asked JE if he did or not, he gave it a thumbs up as well. HAH.

We spent the afternoon in the mall, had some good mother and son time. They totally expanded the place. Added a lot of new stores. There is a double-decker Carousel in the center court, which JE loved riding on it. Unfortunately it was really crowded (consider opening date was Oct 1st), he only got to ride on it once. On the way home, we past through a Sports Charlet. They had a mini golf course set up there. JE played it for quite a long time. It was so cute watching him playing golf. He got the pose and stand totally right. He even shot into the hole a few times as well.

We might go back there on a weekday when it isn't too crowded and ride the carousel again, and check out the new stores. I am sure John will enjoy it, because among them is a Dave and Buster.
