Beginning of this week, I finally received the full-body pillow I ordered. I will kiss the feet of whoever invented it. It totally improved my sleeping. I wish I had got it sooner. We went to Target last night to get some school supplies to donate to Foothill Unity. I was really proud of myself. I didn't buy any baby items. Hah.
I just read on LA Times that the Governator is proposing to change, among other things, the cut off date for entering kindergarten from 12/2 to 9/1. WTF? We timed this pregnancy perfectly, so our child will be born before Dec 2nd. Now they are going to change the date on us? I am pissed off.

I can not believe that July is almost over! Only three days left in the month. Where has the time gone? This week JE has Vacation Bible School at the church from 3-6pm. Since he has pre-school somewhere else. My dad has to pick him up around 2:30 to take him to church. He seems to really enjoy the time there. Tomorrow is his last day at VBS, which they will celebrate it by having the In-n-Out truck to come in and cook. Hmm, yummy. My mom got a job with the church's daycare. I really admire her, she has been taking Child Development classes since last spring. It took her a year to finish all the courses. She will start her new job on Sept 20. After her trip to Shanghai with my dad, for my grandma's burial.
Someone is coming out of the closet Tuesday, July 27, 2004
Someone on "The Simpsons" is going to come out of the closet in the new season. I guess it will most likely to be Smithers, Mr Burns' assistant. Talking about Simpson, this is a different Simpson. Don't you notice now everytime you turn on MTV, it has nothing but the two Simpson sisters? So sick of it.

I am at 27th week of pregnancy now, soon to be 28th week. My tummy is getting bigger and bigger. Since it is my 2nd pregnancy, it is bigger than usual, which causes me to have trouble breathing. Ahhhhh, right now I so want my baby to be out of me., so at least I can breath normally again. At night I just keep turning left and right, there is no comfortable position. Damn it, where is my body pillow that I ordered??? On the good note, there are only two-month of working time left. I will start my maternity leave on Oct 1st. I can not wait!

Saturday morning we took JE to his swimming class. His usual instructor wasn't there. This new one let them do a whole lot more. He ducked JE a few time, he didn't freak out one bit. I guess his confidence is building up. After getting home and having lunch, we (JE and I) basically wasted away the afternoon by taking a nap. After I woke up, I was so surprised to see that John moved the loveseat from downstairs to upstairs, all by himself. Wow, was all I can say. We dropped JE off with my parent, then went to pick up Xinh for dinner and movie at Burbank. I am feeling lazy. So if you want to know details, read Xinh's blog. She pretty much wrote what I wanted to say anyway. :) Edit: John finally installed the Faux Wood Blinds we received a month in the bedroom. Now the windows look fabulous. I think I will order some more for the rest of the windows in the house. :)

Today UPS delivered a wonderful surprise from Amazon. Guess what it is and where it is from? Xinh, Xihn, Xinh... She got me a John Lennon Throw Blanket. It is so soft and cuddly. Thank you, thank you, Xinh. :)

I am bored, bored, bored... and the day is not even half over. I am also tired. Haven't recovered from the night before, only got four-hour sleep then. At least the weather cooled down a bit. Went to LAX last night to meet up with Chris to see him off, back to Australia. Applied a city job on Tuesday morning. The test date will be on Sept 11th. Wish me good luck and get a really high score. Only 90 and above will be considered for an interview. That won't happen until early next year I believe, which is fine with me. There were about 5000 people applied the job on Tuesday alone. I need to study and study, and score really high. Going to dinner with my parents tonight. For my dad's birthday. Wish I can just go home and crash. But it's dad's bday, I will tough it out. Laters. Hugs to all. And Happy Thursday.
Trading Spouses Tuesday, July 20, 2004
I just saw this show on Fox. Are these women crazy??? I will not take care of other people's kids, not for any amount of money, as long as the parents are still living. It is hard enough to do it with your own kids, but other people's kids?? Crazy, crazy.

I dropped my wallet when I came in to work this afternoon, I didn't even realize it. Luckily the security guard at the lobby picked it up. Now I have it back safe and sound. Imagine the hassle I have to go through to cancle all the credit cards, line up at the dmv to get a new license (shudder).
What disneyland ride are you? Monday, July 19, 2004
Take the quiz: "What disneyland ride are you?"Haunted Mansionboo! You are haunted mansion! You are a mysterious person who is not afraid of anything. Everyone loves to spend time with a smart and complex person like yourself.
Knotts Berry Farm Sunday, July 18, 2004
This morning we took JE to Knotts in Buena Park. Man, was it hot or was it hot! But JE had a blast. I sat out all the rides except an eight-minute train ride taking us around the park. All I can say is if it weren't for JE, I would not have be on my feet for almost four hours while 26-week pregnant.
Damn phone Friday, July 16, 2004
The phone system at work is giving me shit. Whoever is calling can’t dial directly to the party’s extension. Everyone has to go through me to be transferred. And on top of that, the voice mail doesn’t work either. So if the person isn’t at their desk, I have to take hand-written messages for them. The Barnickles! On the other hand, I am only working half day today, going to another OB appointment in the afternoon. John has a doctor app. too with our family doctor. So both of us will have the afternoon off. Yay. Three hours to go. We are going to stop by at the hospital where I will give birth first, to pre-register/pre-admission? Meaning to give the hospital my insurance information and sign some forms, so I don’t have to do this while having some major contractions later on.
One bloody hot weekend Monday, July 12, 2004
John's mate Chris flew in from Australia on Saturday morning. He brought us a whole suitcase of goodies, more chocky frogs and tim-tams. While he took a brief nap, we took John Edward to his swimming class. John Edward is really excited seeing him, even though he has never met him before. I guess seeing Chris bringing all the chocky frogs made him a good guy. After having pizza for lunch, JE and I had a long, nice nap, while John and Chris went to a Dodger's game. I felt so refreshed afterwards. I need all the naps I can take right now, not going to have much sleep, let alone naps after the baby is born. When they got home, we headed to my parents to sign some paper works and drop JE off with them. Then we took Chris to a local Korean BBQ restaurant. I love their food. So yummy. Sunday morning, John took Chris to Speedzone in City of Industry. I decided to stay home. They would not let me race car in my condition anyway. I did a few loads of laundries and packed away some of JE's old clothes. I had every box labled with size of the clothes. Now I need more boxes, so I can pack away the rest of his clothes. I was so productive and organized. We had lunch at Souplantation in Arcadia after they got home. My gosh, the placed was packed at 2pm! For the afternoon, we basically did some shopping at the mall, Best Buy. John got a new hardrive for my computer. Today he is going to get me a new CD-rom. In the evening we left Chris home alone to attend one of my aunties' 70th birthday party. JE had a lot of fun playing with his cousins Blake and Ethan. But at one point, they had a minor accident. While they were chasing and pushing around, three of them fell down. Guess who got piled up on? John Edward. Poor guy had at least 100 lbs on top of him, and it didn't help he hit his head on the floor when he went down. I was very beat when we got home. I felt asleep while watching "Trading Spaces: Inside Out".
Good job! Saturday, July 10, 2004
It is the third week of John Edward's swimming class. Let me just say that he improved a lot. So proud of the little munchkin. :) Thinking of signing him for a second section when this one is finished at the end of the July. We will see. Went to Target afterwards and got a bedside lamp for me. My old one is dying/dead. Now John and I have matching lamps. Got an outfit for the baby too. My cousin Emma, who had the only girl in the family, informed me that she would not be able to send me any baby girl clothes, because she has lent them out already. Bah! Oh well. The other day I got some super cute baby girl clothes from babygap for some super low prices. Yay, I love on sale prices.
Oh my aching back Friday, July 9, 2004
I am at 25th week of pregnancy now. Can't believe in about three and half months I am going to give birth. Unlike the first one, this pregnancy goes a lot faster. It helped that I am not accouting the days and knowing what the heck is happening to my body. I am already thinking what will the first few things I am going to eat after I give birth? 1) Sushi 2) Regular Coffee 3) More sushi Hah, I am already drooling. A lot of women become a total bitch when pregnant, I have none of that. John should be very thankful for it. :) One thing didn't change is the back pain. But I get massages from John every night. John's mate from Australia is coming in tomorrow morning. This weekend will be busy busy taking him around. John is going to take him to a baseball game tomorrow afternoon, then Cheesecake Factory for dinner at old town Pasadena. We basically are going to do some non-tourist thingys. Hopefully John will put down some pavements in the yard when I get home. I don't have much to say. It is Friday, I am just rambling on.
What kind of Warrior are you? Wednesday, July 7, 2004
My sphere is Guardian (Person of great Love and Altruism), and my class is Rogue (Precise and Unhindered).
I am a Protector.
You won't let anything or anyone threaten the ones you love if you have anything to say about it -- and you aren't afraid to back that up by any means possible. You might get your hands dirty in your life. You might do things that more lawful people would question. But there is no doubt in your mind that what you are doing is right, and you will have no regrets. To be a Protector is to shed many layers of "status quo," of "morality," and, to a degree, of honor, in order to dedicate yourself to the protection of your love in any way you can. You are a truly rare breed. You are loved in return for your great dedication by the people who value you. You know how to keep secrets, and uphold your word.
What kind of Warrior are you?
Happy Independence Day Sunday, July 4, 2004
Our 4th of July celebration started yesterday afternoon. We went to Susan and Dave's for some yummy BBQ ribs, hamburgers and hot dogs. Xinh was there too. The food was delicious. I had a lot of fun. At one point, John decided to jump in their pool and swam a little. He was crazy, as yesterday wasn't very hot at all. After dinner, we played Rum, Dave won and I came third. It was actually pretty good, consider I was negative for the first few games. Today, we went to one of John's co-workers' annual 4th of July party. Both John and John Edward jumped into his pool. Especially John Edward, he had a lot of fun jumping into the pool, well, jumping into John's arms.
So tired, so very tired Friday, July 2, 2004
I don't know why I am so tired. I had a full night, 8-hour sleep last night. Anzac didn't bark once to wake me up. When I got to work this morning, I felt like I have not slept. I so want to just put my head down on my desk and fall asleep. I think I am going to eat my lunch at my desk, then take an hour nap. I need it very badly. Going to Susan & Dave's for BBQ tomorrow afternoon. Have not seen them for three months I think, since bowling night. I can't think straight. All I can think is nap, nap, nap...Might write some more this afternoon after I have a good sleep... Yes, sleep, sleep...
Reason #1,000,000 why I love John Thursday, July 1, 2004
I got a call today at work from John to see whether I was at work or not. Because I didn't work on Monday and Tuesday, I thought he was concerned. Fifteen minutes later he walked into my work and handed me a single white rose (my favorite). (Now you can all go awwwwww :) I was a little speechless and surprised. So sweet of him! He is taking this Friday off to start working on the yard. That means sweat and hard work under the hot sun. We have so much to do before the baby arrives. Luckily we (mainly John) have about 4 months to accomplish the list.
