John is
Amber is
Last note before leaving
Monday, June 13, 2005
We are leaving for LAX in about four hours. This is going to be a long flight. We will see how Amber does. Between John and I, we have only one suitcase. But between the two kids, they have three, and two for the flight. I spent the all yesterday packing and doing laundries. I'm very happy to report that all laundries are done. Nothing, nada in the laundry baskets. If only I can be this good on a daily basis.
In between packing and washing, Xinh dropped by for a few hours to give me my birthday gift: a dvd of Bourne Supermacy. Thank you Xinh.
Not sure if we will be able to update or not. Only got dial-up over there, you know. Life is going to tough. :)
See you in a couple of days or three weeks.

Did you feel it?
Sunday, June 12, 2005
A little before 9 this morning, as I was laying in bed, I felt the earth shaked. (No, get your mind out of the gutter. It isn't what you think it is.) I felt an earthquake, which happened in Anza, CA, that is about two hours from Los Angeles.

Happy Birthday to me
Saturday, June 11, 2005
Just a brief update before dropping down for a nap. I'm so beat. Organizaing a party is extremely tiring, not mention a kiddie party.
It was a really good party except one minor cake disastor. I believe all kids enjoyed it. We had a couple of games: walk the plank and treasure hunt. JE got a lot of cool gifts that I'm sure he will enjoy playing them for a long long time.
Going back to the cake incident. I made a really cool chocolate pirate cake, just like the one in the picture. I had it all wrapped and ready to be decorated this morning. What happened when we came downstairs and found? ANTS. Bloody going to die ants. Crawling all over the cake. *sigh*
Now somebody come and give me a foot massage. They are killing me.
I will post some pictures when I gain some energies back.
Note to Mog: You think I'm only a lil older than Tk1? Why, thank you. That was nice of you. That was a really good compliment, better than any birthday gifts. HAH. Actually I'm in my early thirties.

Why am I still up?
Friday, June 10, 2005
First for your book lovers, I saw this on someone's blog. Basically it's like netflix, except you get books instead. Sounds interesting, I have to read through everything to see if it's worth it.
I have spent this whole week cleaning our house, packing, and getting everything ready for JE's birthday. I'm soooo tired, but super hyper at the same time. Is it possible? I'm really excited about his birthday, just hope everything goes smoothly. Talking about his party.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY DEAR BOY. You are officially five today!
I'm going to spend whole day tomorrow basically setting everything up, and cooking. And in between all that, I had to squeeze in a hair cut appointment for JE. I made one for him on Thursday, but totally forgot about it. Silly me.
Now I'm to bed. Wish me luck to be able to sucessfully bake this Pirate Cake. I'm going to use yellow flag instead though.

fun fun fun
Saturday, June 4, 2005
This morning, we dragged Xinh out of bed nice and early at 7:30. Well, not really, we just arranged to meet at our house at 8 for breakfast. She was a little late, which was understandable. It's hard to get out of bed this early on a Saturday. After she got here, we all headed out to Homestyle Cafe for a delicious and hearty breaky. It was lovely as usual. Afterwards we got home and dumped dropped John and Amber off, then Xinh and I headed to a local nail salon for a French pedicure and manicure.
It felt so good to have them done, especailly for my feet. We totally enjoyed it, sat it in the massage chair, got a foot massage. But I felt sorry for the girl who did my pedicure, I don't exactly have the prettiest feet in the world. I'm sure Xinh will post some after picture for all your viewing pleasure. After her nap.
I should take a nap myself as well, since I didn't go to bed until 2am this morning. Getting old you know? Can't no longer survive on 5 hours of sleep.

It's June!
Friday, June 3, 2005
It has been June for three days now. That means only 10 days until we depart for Australia. I'm really looking forward to it. Not the 15 hours plane ride, especailly with two kids. I'm sure JE will be fine. More about Amber. But if people want to give me dirty looks when she starts crying. I can care less. I remember I used to be one of those people who gave crying babies dirty looks. Now I can care less. And I can care even less when others stare at me. People, baby cries, k? Got it. It's a nature thing to do. I get more annoyed when others try to give me baby advices. That's when I give them dirty looks. HAH.
It is past midnight. Can you tell I'm completely hyper?
June is a big month in our family. Two birthdays, JE's and mine, our birthdays are one day apart. He was actually born 45 minutes before the 11th. So basically we do have the same birthdays. I remember the next day after I gave birth to JE, my parents and John all sat around me in the hospital room. The nurse came in and said "Happy Birthday" to me. No one else, not even my husband remembered. So that was what I got for giving you a child, huh? :)
A million things to do before we leave, and I'm adding more stress to myself by throwing a big bash for JE's birthday. I can't wait! It's going to be totally fun, especailly for the kids. I will tell you all about it on the 12th.
I've decided to do a scrapebook for his birthday party. I went to Michale's tonight and got all the supplies.
Then the afternoon of his birthday party, I have to go to the local YMCA to register summer swimming class for him as well.
Tomorrow, we are going to sign escrow for our re-fi. I can't wait for it is to be finalized. It will totally reduce our debts.
Then dentist appointment for both us in the afternoon. I'm contemplating wheather to take out the two remaining wisdom teeth on the left side. They have been bugging me on and off. But not enough for me to want them out for sure. They should have been taken out last year, but I got pregnant. So that put a hold on all my teeth procedures.
If you don't hear from me for a whole weekend, that means the wisdom teeth are out and I'm resting.
Bedtime, nite.
