Today is Mokona-sensei's birthday! *brings on the bishounen revue* Hopefully, she's sharing her birth-month with some great SxK illustrated postcards in the forthcoming Asuka. *cross fingers/toes/eyes* I never lose hope.

My fic is still hitting a solid wall of blank. I can't decide between making Kamui useful for a change or useless as always. Any suggestions? Maybe I should sleep through it and let my muse decide. *kicks Kakyou again*

Oh yeah, highlight of the day. I bought a Kero-chan keychain. It's actually a bell shaped like the head of Kero-chan. Kawaii da ne.

Finally got the Psychology assignment out of the way! *does a little riverdance*

Drats! I've got a Statistics assignment coming up.

A puzzling thought occurred to me. With so many comparisons between Tokyo Babylon and Yami no Matsuei (come on, it's only that one Muraki/Hisoka thing under the Sakura Tree, which is mentioned less than 10% of the time), why has nothing been brought up about the serious background similarity with Yuu Yuu Hakusho? Dead/barely-dead people working for Enmadaiou in the underworld, investigating paranomral/unusual activities in the human world. Sounds the same, but I guess the YYH gang are a meaner bunch. *gets bricked by YnM fangirls* The YYH2 anime movie will be on TV next Wednesday, so maybe I'll have my answer then.

In the meantime, I need to get this SxK fic off my chest. The world needs more SxK fluff/angst/lemon/whatever!! Where's Lika?!

Listening to Chara's Caramel Milk album at this moment. How shall I put it tactfully? This is probably how Daidouji Tomoyo would sound, when given a slight dose of attitude. Why do so many Japanese female singers fall into either category of high-pitched irritant or 8-year-old diabetes-inducing sweetness? Chara definitely falls into the latter category. Not my cup of tea. Well, it's not like it's the first time I ever threw good money after stuff I don't really care for after. Note: Kristin is probably going to kill me for this >_<

On another note, I'm really curious about this Japanese obsession with possible incestuous relationships. I'm not talking about Angel Sanctuary we-all-know-its-incest thing. In every other Japanese drama, anime or manga, the lead couple invariably gets thrown into this are-we-or-are-we-not-siblings loop? It doesn't matter if they were neighbours for most of their childhood, or just met each other at the first day on the job. Boy meets girl -- falls in love -- parents object -- finally discover that one or both sets of parents had a secret affair with the other side -- couple goes all weepy and angsty over it -- blah blah blah. Did the same fella wrote all the scripts anyway? One of the greatest (perhaps unintentional) parody of this plotline may be found in the Weiss Kreuz anime. Omi's family relationship was so complicated, they had to provide a family-tree chart in the film book.

Ah-ha! Kinokuniya's customer service got back to me after all. *cheers*

Just came back from a screening of "Shrek". Given the number of fairy tale parodies in the CFFML lately, this movie is sending me some weird ideas. Hmmm... Wonder if my muse is awake. *kicks Kakyou* Well, I ought to be doing that Psychology assignment of mine first. Ficcing shall have to wait.

Just after I ranted on the Ashurum list that E'S 3 (Chinese) has been delayed, it is here!! Yippee!

More interestingly, I finally get to share a birthdate with a manga character. Tokugawa Yuuki, the other cute guy from E'S, and we have the same blood type too! One more reason to go nuts over this manga, other than the cool story and gorgeous art. I'm in 2D heaven!

Atsui! Atsui! Atsui!

Sheesh! I'm sounding like Goku now, but this weather is killing me. No amount of ice-cream seem to work, except on my waistline. Maybe if I hide in the fridge.

I'm stuck with the fic. Karen popped in and I've nowhere to go. Should it even be a oneshot or a short multiparter? Suggestions? Seishirou-fans might find my interpretation here highly romantic, though I personally don't. How many darn ways are there to reinterpret his deathscene? Talking about beating a dead onmyouji. *giggles*

Thanks to Verthandi's info, I found out that Kai and Eiji are being voiced by Midorikawa Hikaru and Miko Shin'ichirou in the drama CDs, which I can't find anywhere in boring Singapore! If they're ever going to animate E'S, they'd better keep those two seiyuus. *drool* On the other hand, I continue to maintain that Subaru's seiyuu must change. Yamazaki-kun from CCS. *laughs* Midorikawa Hikaru should do it. Well, hopefully the next Asuka will cast some light on the cast.

Saturday, June 9, 2001 -- 09:39 p.m.

Sat through three hours of Japanese lesson with a throbbing headache. Sensei must have noticed since she didn't ask me as many questions this time around.

Those who have been here before would notice the new look of my blog. "Akumu" means nightmare.

Anyway, I've just realised that the only thing worse than Seishirou/Subaru fics is a Fuuma/Subaru one. Talk about jumping straight from the frying pan into the fire.

Friday, June 8, 2001 -- 10:45 p.m.

Went down to Kinokuniya to collect my Mystery DX during lunch today. The salesperson refused to give me an extra loyalty stamp due to a measly shortfall of 20 cents! Their feedback department is going to hear from me.

Anyway, got myself, amongst other things, the Angel Sanctuary Postcard Book. Too many pics of Setsuna and Sarah, perhaps the most insipid couple in manga after FY's Tamahome/Miaka. Well, at least the packaging is quite neat.

HMV having a discount sale on a fair range of Japanese imported CDs. Unfortunately, none for Himuro Kyousuke. Couldn't find the soundtrack CDs for Spriggan and Saiyuki either. Bought Aikawa Nanase's "Purana" and Chara's Best of album. Nanase rocks. Left Chara CD in the office, so no comments there.

Hahahah! Got bitten by the blogger bug too. Lika, it's your fault! Yeah, I keep saying that, but it's the truth.

Anyway, just posted my first Clover fic to the CFFML and my own fanfic page yesterday. Response, people. I need some response! Thou shalt commit the sin of Vanity!
