I'm completely, positively exhausted. Plus, I drank tea and that speeds up the process of wanting to go to sleep even more. But on my day, I can say I'm confused about the war. Both sides leave me in the dust. Both sides have their points. I'm confused as to which side is "correct," or has more reasoning. I can't say that's excellent reasoning either, on my part, but I'm being pulled in. One side is of course from my mom who believes France-tachi are correct and the other is a friend who makes her good points about some circumstances to attack. Both sides have their ranters who blast the other without having open minds. That's the other thing that really annoys me...but anywho, getting back to my confused state, I'm in the center of this. I'm not saying Bush is stupid nor am I going to say France-tachi are unreasonable for not agreeing with the US. While I'm at it, I'm not for war.

But I think I shouldn't speak of this war. The whole corruption issue with money and such and chemical warfare annoys me. Terribly.

Oro? Dub!Kenshin is nothing without ORO! I've never seen the TV series, as I've mentioned before, but I have to finish the OAVs and start Seisouhen. I wonder if Cartoon Network will show all 95 eps...

Which, in all that is Kenshin, leads me to Kazaa to download songs I've missed. And now, maybe regretting to have not bought a very low priced manga at Book-Off.

I'm Sanosuke!

While over the phone, a friend informed of a show about a wandering samurai who decided to settle down and let go of his former ways. With that I yelled over the phone, "RUROUNI KENSHIN?!"

Actually, I could not believe that Cartoon Network would ever show Kenshin because of violence, etc, but I've been proven wrong. Now I have something to watch in the evening.

I haven't seen the Kenshin TV series. I have been told to a) steer clear of it and b) to watch it. This resulted in my purchasing of the OAVs which I was pleased with.

However, as a result of yesterday, I was prompted to download Heart of Sword again and listen to 4th Avenue Cafe many, many times. Also, my Chinese Kenshin artbook that I bought in Paris came in handy further rekindling my fascination with the series.

...Although I do choose OAV Kenshin over the TV series one XD

You are Fakir!
You are Fakir (Fakia). Go you! At first glance, you appear evil and domineering. But underneath that gruff exterior lies an angsty bish. And underneath the veil of bish lies a bookish geek who tends to spazz at the sight of female flesh. You are a big dork...but you hide it well!"

Which Princess Tutu character are you? Version 1.0
brought to you by Quizilla

Yay~~! Finally a Princess Tutu quiz! ^_^

The four-day vacation was not productive. My mother made me go out with her because of the weather and so all the work is left to be done today. Happy St. Patrick's Day!

What really was upsetting this weekend is being disgusted by the American attitude toward France. I don't mean the entire population is voicing this opinion, I am just saying that many are. It's really stupid, and I know that word gets overused by me, especially, but just because France wants a peaceful settlement like many of the Americans protesting who are NOT pro-war, does not mean you have to discriminate against the country. French fries and french toast are not even French! Why should you call a fatty food that adds to the overweight number of people in this country "freedom?!" There is no logic or sense in the way people think nowadays. Think about both sides of the arguement and the good points they have before causing even a French golfer to be heavily guarded because he has a fear of being jumped by an angry mob who hate the French for no good reason. Seriously, almost every nation looks to America as some sort of leader, but is it a leader in education? No!

I hope things can be solved during this situation and let us not react with such high tempers before thinking.

Which of the Protagonists from Sea of Fertility Are You?

+ Tohru Honda:
Information: Tohru appeared in the final book, The Decay of the Angel, as an orphan who was later adopted by Shigekuni. He is an excellent student, but he has a fascination with inflicting pain onto others, especially Shigekuni. After the reason was revealed as to why he was adopted, he burned Kiyoaki's dream diary and attempted suicide, but unfortunately blinded his eyes. He got married as well, and seemed almost happy with his marriage. He's an evil character with a strong sense of pride who DID NOT die at the age of twenty.

+ Ying Chan:
Information: Ying Chan appeared in the third book, The Temple of Dawn, as a princess to the Thai throne. She greeted Honda as a child, ecstatically, revealing that she is the reincarnation of Isao, who is the reincarnation of Kiyoaki, Honda's very dear friend. As Honda leaves the young Ying Chan, years later, he hears that she is coming to Japan. Ying Chan is a timid, beautiful character who is very delicate and adventurous. She dies at the age of twenty due to a cobra bite.

+ Isao Iinuma:
Information: Isao appeared in the second book, Honda (Runaway Horses) as the son of Kiyoaki's tutor, Iinuma. He is a very skilled in kendo and wins many of the school competitions. Driven by the corruption in the country at the time, he forms a radical group who soul purpose is to rid the country of the corrupted officials. Their attempts fall short, many of the members of the group are arrested and tried in court, and Isao is held responsible. His sentence is lessened. As he is out free, he kills one of the "corrupted officials," runs to a cliff, sees the sun rising, and commits seppuku at the age of twenty.
He is polite, a patriot-fanatic, vulgar, and stubborn.

+ Kiyoaki Matsugae:
Information: The protagonist of the first novel, Spring Snow, Kiyoaki was raised in a prestigous family. He falls for the beautiful Satoko who is arranged to marry the Emperor's son (I might be wrong here...). Kiyoaki has an affair with her causing her to have an abortion and finally, she joins the convent of Gesshu vowing never to see Kiyoaki again. Kiyoaki is a gentle, sweet character, who is also very mischievious, creative, a dreamer, and cunning. His school mate is Shigekuni Honda, whom he puts his trust and his dream diary to. Kiyoaki dies at the age of twenty of an illness after trying to see Satoko with many failed attempts. His last words to Honda is that he will see him beneath the falls. (Note: Honda saw Kiyoaki's marks on Isao beneath the falls in the second book.)

[ / idea ]

For the record, I have somewhat of a vague memory with the second and third books. I see that the information is quite accurate. I'm sorry if there are any mistakes, I'm just doing this just for fun. ^_~;; If I only had images and more of the character's traits as my adjectives are few and I can get the scanner fixed, but...

My favorite book has to be the first and the last; Tohru and Kiyoaki are both my favorite characters. The Decay of the Angel was the first book I picked up and I fell in love with Tohru! He reminds me of Akito Sohma, but Tohru isn't as abusive and fragile. Yes, I said Akito is fragile. Kiyoaki is a beautiful character. He, on the other hand, seeks to belong to a better place with Satoko. His life is tragic and it revolves around death. He, too, is similar to Akito to an extent; Akito is to take the full effect of the curse, and unbeknownst to Kiyo, fate decided for him to die as well.

Actually, I thought Tohru was the bigger misfortune. He's a mistake not fulfilling the standard requirement of the people Shigekuni Honda seems to take notice of. The requirement:
1. Die at the age of twenty
Of course the other would have to be to have the distinctive moles, but Tohru had those *waves hand*...

The other misfortune at the end of the book was Satoko not recognizing an old, 70 year old, Shigekuni Honda. She says memory is like a phantom mirror, and it can deceive us. She firmly says that she doesn't know who Kiyoaki was.

o.O Um, yeah...I thought that was shocking. I couldn't believe that Honda-san had to go through such hard work, and after so many years of not seeing Satoko to speak of Kiyoaki, she turns him down and says she does not remember or know of Kiyo.

After the turn of the year Honda asked him about the diary.
"I burned it just before I took the poison," he answered briefly.
His answer when asked for an explanation was much to the point.
"Because I never dream."

"They rarely read books and seemed almost proud of their extraordinary ignorance. They gave the impression of being immune to anything even remotely tragic. Immature though they were, they had the knack of steering clear of suffering, strong excitement, or any of the more overwhelming emotions. If, unavoidably, they'd been thrust into the midst of suffering, their very inertness would promptly have overcome it, and quite effortlessly they would have settled down to a life of indifference. They were the scions of a certain breed of men: men who have succeeding large numbers of humanity not through intimidation or violence, but by the sheer paralyzing power of inaction."
~Yukio Mishima, Acts of Worship

I found this to be too true of today's society especially humans nowadays who steer clear of anything related to negativity. Many people take criticism hard or anything remotely related to evil or any form of negativity. They choose not to deal with it and by doing so claim that the evils will leave. It's unbelievable how many people in my school are ready to pour their hearts out to commit themselves into relationships, or any other form of social activity and they absolutely will not deal with anything negative. Criticism is meant to be part of life. With it, people either choose to improve or complain about it. People are hypocritical, might I add, and are different.

But why this quoting struck me was in religion class. The teacher complained about the ignorance of priests and how at sermons, the devil or any evils are rarely mentioned. There is an evil presence in the world, he notes, that we must acknowledge. People nowadays are a lot more concerned with the goodness in life, and that is good, but people are good and bad by nature. Yes, we commit sin at any level if it is lying and yes, some of us are murderers, but for Christians, there is a consequence we face and every person must know there are ways to be liberated from these evils. First, we should acknowledge the fact evil exists in this world and then take the necessary steps to (attempt) liberation. It can be done.

I'm sorry if I sound too much like a preacher, but it is true. We have to stop and think. Please think. We come across too many ignorant and foolish people nowadays who are sucked into the media and waste their lives. I spoke to a teenager recently and he said senior year is not important because all we do is nothing, and as a senior, I can say that it is not true. You don't get a break! You have to work. He said he knows the majority of college students are drinking and partying, but I can prove him wrong. Many students actually do think about their grades and getting through life which is not a joy ride. The teen I spoke with is an idiot for thinking so. He has to wake up to reality.

My priority right now is getting an education and becoming "scholarly" because I want to say I have done something with my life, that I'm sure I can earn a PhD because that's an accomplishment. You don't want to foolishly waste your life. But I'm not saying you should work all the time...and that's why we should relax, too, which helps.

*yawn*.........

Since I'm getting all these hits, I'd figure people would at least want to link me. I'm not posting my email address as of yet, not too sure if that's safe enough. Maybe I should install a ref system of some sort. I really have no idea why the hits just skyrocketed, but maybe people'd like to link. I've got an ad sent to me because of so many hits. o.O;; sankyuu, minna-sama.

Day's been rough, actually. I bought a really beautiful shirt from Macy's. My mother offered to go to Book Off with me, but I told her no because I prefer to go with a friend. I peered in and saw J-POP . I also brought my camera but didn't take any shots. I would like to start wasting some film on my camera, damn it! *clenches fist*

I started drawing characters randomly and came up with a series with no plot, but bishounen and a few bishoujo just thrown in there. LOL, sounds good. I'm just sketching...mmm...drama CD.

Speaking of which, one of Natsuki Takaya's series came out on drama CD and a few of the seiyuu in there were Miki Shinichirou, Hikaru Midorikawa, and Souichirou Hoshi. The cover features a female Yuki-look-alike and a tall Kyou look-alike. Yeah, I sound so absent-minded and lost...but I will post info as soon as I translate it.

And Koyasu Takehito was Ayame's seiyuu in the Furuba Drama CD.

I *heart* my service site, I really do. I think it's one of the best opportunities to interact with children that are no older than five years of age. My class is filled with 3-4 year olds who are adorable. I can stand children, I think they're wonderful, and I don't see how adults think they don't understand the mentality of children. Some things are common sense and the others are based on what? Being a child? It's as if adults act like they have never been children and then need a guide to think, interact, and befriend one. I think it's silly, actually, but I'm having fun. I took an extra class picture^___^ All together now, "awwww...!!"

This one woman said how she wrote a diary entry for a child who said to write that his father was drunk in front of the TV. She said the father came in to the class, read it, and yelled: "WTH! SINCE WHEN?!"

Wah...I have a cold. I'm debating whether I should post fics or original stories on FF.net related bases. I'm not too sure...and it's the same with getting an LJ account for stories...the comments. I'm not very good with dealing with people's comments sometimes. I don't like flames that come from people who TyPe LikE tHiS or with no grammar. >.>...I don't care to flame back either. It's as if some one insulted me (not from my family, of course), I would not insult them back unless it's something needed to be said. It wouldn't feel right. The whole "don't do unto others what you don't want done to yourself" works. ^_^;;;;

But on a creative writing story I would like to post, it's influenced by characters from Yun Kouga's Loveless and Cowboy Bebop.

Minor rants and fumes....whew...

There are many people out there who would understand:

I had to present a book to my psychology class on how to improve one's IQ. A tip was to read. It wouldn't kill anyone, I said. But some one had to say "it'll kill me." That's not the sort of comment I want to hear, in fact, no comment should come from the students but the teacher. It pains me that I presented it to a rather thick class, too.

Creative writing was like a therapy session^_^ I wrote messages to my sen-san on my looseleaf in big letters. At the end of class, I waved to an anti-social virus-sending girl just to, you know, be friendly, but she stood in one place and rolled her eyes. What a rude....b-b-person.

But I did lose my voice today and was beet-red when I was presenting in front of my class. I have the knack of wanting to end the presentation, think about it, and then want to say more when it's over. I could have been relaxed and firm and gave some sort of discussion that would have startled most of the students who think I'm shy. I could have said something to the girl who rolled her eyes.

I didn't.

That's what bothers me -- the little things I could have said I didn't. They pop up and torture me when I go home. Makes me feel like screaming into a pillow. But alas I cannot for my voice will get worse. Hmm...I won't.

What did make me happy was talking with friends I don't see during classes, but in the morning and every Monday in creative writing. It is so good to have friends who want to talk to you or hang out with you. I haven't had this sort of relationship for a while in my high school. Speaking of creative writing, I created a character named Seishi who dresses in black, has a ponytail, smokes, and likes to lick blood off of pretty boys and imagine them in wedding dresses in his arms. ^__^
