I didn't want to be absent of Friday, but my mother insisted on it. I missed a quiz, damn it. I'm regretting it. Anyway, to make up for that I come to school at 7:30, take the quiz, and then later in the day, present information to a stupid class on how to improve your IQ. Ingenious.
I'm rather tired from typing up a story that the teacher doesn't understand. I added more slash in this draft^__^ Speaking of slash, I lent X TV vol. 1 to my brother's thirteen-year-old friend who said, after my brother, that he supports KamuixSubaru.

I was listening to "Tomorrow" from WK Gluhen. The ending to the series really hit a sour note. The lamest thing to happen to Aya-kun is to be stabbed in the gut by a child after he donates his money to poor helpless children through churches. Sorry to those who actually liked the ending, but IMHO, it wasn't what I expected. I think I'm still going to buy the DVDs in Chinatown just because of the animation. Yes, I know that's a bad reason, but it's Weiss.
I think it's about time to archive this page^__^;;;;;

I was using WinMX last year and out of boredom typed in "Inoue Kazuhiko." The resulting song was "Hikari Aru Sekai E" from Shurato. There are a bunch of seiyuu including Seki Toshihiko thrown in here and I absolutely adore this song. Go download it! Shurato's quite old, but I have been seeing ads on it in Newtype.
I finally drew an image worth scanning. It's of Eiji hugging Ryoma*^_^* Not my fave couple, but I still like the image. It's too cute!
Just to add to this after an hour or so, hasn't any one shown some sort of interest in the early 20th century? This influence comes from Tsuzuki's birth in the year 1900, Haru no Yuki's time and place, and I can go on, but I won't for the sake of self. I've actually come up with a series that takes place in the 1920's. Although I personally will not like to live during that time, it's still musing me.
I'm not quite done with Haru no Yuki, but I'm rereading it. This is the only book in the cycle of four that I can read. Kiyoaki reminds me of a cross between Saki (Muraki's older brother) and Kamui. I didn't particularly fancy Satoko. Her move to join the convent (?) at Gesshu reminded me of the end of The Tale of Genji when two young men quarreled over a woman and she took that move of serving. Only in this instance, it was either to marry the prince (after the abortion) or become submissive to Kiyoaki's will. Hmm...tough choice. Let me just cut off my hair and run off to Gesshu. I don't have anything against the decision, but then I think that if she ran away with Kiyo and had that child, she would not appreciate the gossip and not to mention the shame the two families would suffer. Society and nobility can be an awful thing.
I would love to see Mishima's Sea of Fertility become four anime movies. They'd be well-done and gorgeous. How do I know this? I'll push for it when I'll get the chance.

I am currently watching Trading Spaces...ack, I like the show a lot, I do. It's random, passes the time, and Ty-kun's very cute^.^. I haven't been watching really good TV lately. My mother's curiosity got the best of her when she started to cheer for some of the people on American Idol and even Joe Millionaire. I hate reality TV and really, there's just too much of it nowadays that are stupid and pointless. But the GOOD TV would have to be John Stewart and Bill Maher because I want to be amused by what I watch. ^_^ And yes, it's good stuff.
I had a tesuto today!! Just to let every one know, the lowest I could have gotten on it is a 90. I don't like studying law even though this subject should be helpful and "good for me," but I feel like hanging myself everytime I step into class. I had to be in the class, I chose it over art. Irony.
Mi-chan is my goddess, LOL! She burned two cds for me WHICH had Ometto Samba, White Line, and Eiji's image song. It's absolutely wonderful to get something like that so I actually gave her my last cookie at lunch. >3 BTW, AP Engrish killed me. Not to mention having to do sound effects, but actually being nervous of speaking a few lines.
So I rushed home to listen my shidis 'cause they rock my world^_______^!! There I found my brother actually making food for himself.
The only complaint I have about the Nadesico dub, not only did they ruin it, lol, but they should have shown it before on Cartoon Network to get people interested in buying it. The sub is wonderful~~and I mean the bootleg subs I bought. The names are so off....off...I'd roll in my grave if they call Yurika "Eureka" again.

At this moment, I have a major headache. Just don't ever turn on UN TV and hear a person talk and laugh at the same time. I have two tests to study for as well...*scratches head*...but now onto the mini-reviews:
Dub!Eva: terrible casting!
Dub!Nadesico: terrible casting!
I understand there's the same VA (Spencer, I believe) for Akito and Shinji, but he's awful. Aoi Jun's voice is terribly deep and Ruri does not sound bored at all. Even Evangelion left me in the cold...and it is getting worse: they don't play the opening and ending themes.
That's all with the rants so far. But why didn't Cartoon Network play these shows earlier? I know! They didn't want to stun their audiences.
And so my headache continues...eh...maybe the highlight of the day was when a classmate decided to break into song in the middle of a busy hallway. I think I need a good fic to read...and maybe more PoT^.^

Ladies and gentlemen, Cartoon Network plans to air Martian Successor Nadesico Monday and Tuesday. I, after watching the whole series and the movie, will steer clear from the dub. Eva, on the other hand, I might be watching although I've been told to avoid it. Dai-Guard and Robotech will air as well. .hack/sign will also move to Saturday evening.
Yeaaaah! That's why I wanted to check out "Television" in the NY Times.
So midwinter break is over. Puu...unfortunate. I have a banquet in AP Engrish tomorrow^_^ and two tests on Tuesday. I look forward to it.
Sankyuuuuuuuu Sarah-dono for the MKR2 artbook. O.O Lantis, preeettty.

Nyaaa~~~~it's a good day >3
Sarah-dono came by and we went shopping to Kino. I bought Animedia, Feb. issue, with a Kenichi Suzumura interview^____^!!! I also bought PoT volume 17, Angelic Layer 4, (a risky) Shounen Jump, and a Fruits Basket artbook. I'm always searching Asuka and Zero Sum, but at a small Kino like that, I doubt I'd find it, AND I should have gone to Book Off...if I hadn't wasted $46.10 out of $60.00. Curse you, temptation!!! The day finished off nicely with a showing of the last volume of Furuba and the episode when Yuki visits Ayame's shop.
Then...*horrible* news of not being accepted to two SUNY schools of choice. No big deal, actually, I prefer a smaller school.
Mmm...fyuu...tomorrow's a better day when Andrew-tachi come over and play Halo. I can't believe I'm excited over this...and speaking of which I have three tests to study for. I can't actually say I have to be depressed over anything for a while. I just hate my business law and psychology class...X_x...yes, kill me now.
L'arc~en-~ciel's 4th Avenue Cafe's been on repeat for quite some time now. That'll finish off one of the best mid-winter breaks I've had so far^___^ Ne, gomen nasai, Sarah-dono, maybe I can transfer to Albany, but so far, I'm not going there. 'wish, though, heard they have an excellent asian studies program.

After watching the History Channel's Heaven or Hell segment, I was pleased. Then, my mother came home and wanted to watch the FOX Michael Jackson special and then sometimes switching to the shallow Who's Hot? I think the networks are overdoing the Michael Jackson bit (and reality TV too, anyway). On Who's Hot (whatever), people are judging others based on what they were born with. Ick...that's not good TV at all.
I would rather watch Sailor Moon on the other hand, but nya, that's it.
^_^ I'm actually quite satisfied as an overflow of SubaruxKamui fics are now waiting to be read in my mailbox. Sankyuu, CFFML.

Nya, I've finally managed to get some plans for the break. I'm going out to Kinokuniya on Friday to hopefully pick up the February issue of Animedia. I'm going with a friend whom I haven't seen in two months. On Saturday, Andrew-tachi are coming over to play Halo. XD...
Yesterday was awful, on the other hand, as a group of guys in an apartment on my floor started smoking *something* and it smelled so bad in the hallway and in my apartment. I did yell out: there's an asthmatic in the apt here, but they didn't stop. Ick >.>....
What about the snow lately? Too much of it, I might say. It's not beautiful because it was coming down so hard and I wanted to take a picture but unfortunately, I did not. I have a whole week off of school. This is BAD timing.

Now I wish to take back the 714 score, because I think my brother's teacher was making fun of him. My mother called his school to get the score, but the principal said she doesn't know them and the teachers are to disribute the grades~~~and this from the teacher who tells the class they won't do well at all at much of anything (some won't, ahem), but children need encouragement.
Randy-kun came over AGAIN and I kicked his arse at HALO (AGAIN). XD Heh, heh, heh. The only reason I didn't go to his house when I was invited because he keeps on calling me "Andrew's sister" and that is not respectful even if it is said in a joking manner. Hey, if I take the time to remember your name, take your time in remembering mine.
I can't believe spring training is already starting! I'm excited and a baseball fan na no da. I'm not rooting for any team in specific, but I am for a few players like David Cone, but I see him better on the Yankees. I still remember watching his perfect game#^____^# woot, gambatte kudasai!!!!
I watched the beginning of .hack/sign over the weekend. It's so cute when a character says "boing" before he jumps from the rooftop.

^.^ New layout, woot....
Isn't it impressive? It's a change from my usual type of layouts that completely were awful. Now on a note to Cassie, that IS Kamui *points up* and yes, it does look like him^__^;;;;;
My brother's friend is accusing him of not watching PoT. I don't understand how that is so possible if my otouto is up half the night watching it for Fuji and Tezuka. >.>...and speaking of which, he received the highest Stuyvesant score in his class: 714. My mother is scrambling to find out whether he would be accepted to any of the schools. She's highly trying to avoid Environmental Studies because my brother's friend told her boys are constantly being beat up. That and the school does not want to handle "outside" matters.
Actually I also wanted to rant about how much V-Day is another holiday that companies use an an excuse to sell more candy etc etc, and so in Japan "White Day" came into a reality and did the same thing. So...why can't (couples) treat one another special every other day or so? It's not sickening to see people outside school waiting for their girlfriends with flowers and candy and even balloons, but here is the question: do you people go to school at all to wait since like 2 PM to meet? (College students I understand, but high school students?)
I need to watch Azumanga Daioh and Wolf's Rain!!^__^ They look very promising. Chiyo in a penguin suit coming soon...
Quote: Don't trust the smiling penguin.
