on the turntable... |
Tuesday, November 20, 2001 07:45 p.m. i still have to pack for my drive up to my parents' house tomorrow morning, so this is gonna be a short entry...
amoeba music is a fucking incredible record store, something la needed badly. happy thanksgiving! Friday, November 16, 2001 08:22 a.m. ok, dan linked these cartoon strips on his page today called get your war on, but i wanna link them too. do yourself a favor and go now. Monday, November 5, 2001 05:46 p.m. i think it's hysterical that someone found my page by searching for lactating canadian ladies. Saturday, November 3, 2001 01:17 p.m. last tuesday i went to the magic castle. it's a private clubhouse (jacket and tie required for entry!) in an authentic victorian mansion that preserves and promotes the art of magic. my uncle just became a member because he shot a promotional video for the place and he took me along. there's four theaters that seat from 50-100 people, three bars, and a big restaurant. the restaurant has a séance room where every year on the day that houdini died, they make an attempt at contacting him. there's actually enough interest in magic that the castle stays open seven days a week. it’s really cool that there’s like this magic underworld and people devote their lives to being magicians. the magicians seem to function so outside the norm in society that there’s something really honorable about it. the people there were so serious about magic and the tone of the whole place is really mysterious and a good place to spend hollow's eve. speaking of creepiness, everyone go here and read about the smoking gun finding a mailbag full of almost 2,000 fan letters on a curb in manhattan sent to mariah carey c/o her record company. they scanned some really good ones for you to read and you learn that prisoners are big fans of mariah. the letter entitled ”boner the size of florida” might be my favorite and i just know that had mariah taken the time to actually read this letter, her life would be filled with happiness and she would have fallen in love with the prisoner named “phil." who knows, had she read this letter, maybe glitter would have been a different movie? |
