wooooo one week of holiday freedom! and so much freakin stuff has happened! mom says that i should get to bed by 12:30, which is fifteen minutes away. but would i be able to tell it all within fifteen minutes? hell no...so screw that.

last friday when i came back, the first thing we did was...VISIT MY GODSON ELLIOT!

holy crap he is such a cutie! although he's half chinese half flip, he looks 100% like kuya lin. though he's five months old, he's a LONG baby, as in he was 99 percentile the baby heightrange. sigh, and what a good baby too, he wouldnt cry when a stranger held him, he'd just smile and move around like crazy. he is able to roll around, but not strong enough to crawl ^^

this we took on monday? see how he doesnt cry but instead, wants to just move around? he also never looks at the camera, but in the first picture, i basically shoved the camera into his face. ><
that first picture i took during tita charito's birthday party at tita emilie's house. i was able to see my old ["cute"] friend michael who lives on the upper east side, and wants to pursue graphic arts as well ^^

alright so sunday was the christmas cantata: the wonder of christmas.

yeah! sing your heart out! wo00o0o0o0o0eeee! they were awesome as usual.

and this was when the children sang along in a couple of numbers. 'twas a lovely duet. oh right! that saturday before, since i missed the children's musical the sunday before, i attended their second presentation at the green hills senior citizens home. sigh, seeing them present and watching the old people smiling made my heart feel all warm and fuzzy inside. its awesome how god's message can be communicated to both young AND old.

alright so...monday and tuesday was very church and family orientated. monday tita florence and i had a date in celebration of my belated birthday. she took me to ihop, where we indulged in pancakes, and steak. lolz. i loved every minute we had together, chatting about how the church has been, the youth, and what was going on with my college and spiritual life. after visiting mico at work and sneaking into her office kitchen, tita flo comes with me home and i show her my 4D 1st semester projects. oh how she loved it so! i never realized that the stuff i do at pratt, comes to fasincating to, non-art people. when we parted, i grew even more in love with her, knowing that wat i'm doing, is making her and my family real proud. <3 <3

tuesday, after going to the eye-doctoring and realizing how blind i was, i pick up monika after school and take her to new york to see the American Girl Place. hee hee, i used to be obsessed with that storyline when i was about her age, and i wanted to share my joy with her. this place is across rockefeller center, a three-story building chock full of expensive, yet awesome stuff.

here's monika in the midst of all the doll mayhem.

and here's monika reading some stuff. although we only stayed for about an hour, cuz i had to go back to jersey in time to watch Jessi's band concert, i deeply cherished this lil sister outing. it was just more than enough to monika so amazed and so happy.

from wednesday to thursday...my day was spent with my beloved c-hall gang. wednesday gracey comes over, and we do our usual lounging on my sofa, and sitting around in my kitchen while i open and close the cabinets, in search of something to eat. after deciding to eat pizza, we watch the first tape of 'sound of music', and discovered that fredrich JUST MIGHT be struggling to burst out of that closet. ^_<
lucy came around five to exchange presents, but decided to stay longer so we three could gossip, and for me, listen to them complain about their roomates' B.O. after about two hours of chitchat, they part ways, but at nine, we meet again at ben's house, along with mark, mike, ben, shelly, and meg. aahhh...the c-hall atmosphere once again. of course we all could never share one common conversation. mike, gracey, and lucy kept fighting and messing around their cellphones, while me, ben, meg, and mark looked at funny-ass pictures. this hangout lasted until a little pass twelve.

thursday i do a lil holiday shopping with lucy and gracey, using the $25 i got from the children's ministry. it wasnt much, but i was able to my parents' presents. around three thirty was our parting [does that sound formal? its totally unintentional]. sigh this might be the last time i see them before next year. heh, it sounds funny that it seems so far away when its not.

alright its past one o'clock. i'm scared that my mom will suddenly wake up and yell at me. so...g2g. ciao! <3

alright so of course i'll post a lot more activities, such as my godson elliot, reunion with the c-hall gang hopefully, christmas, new years, and chicago trips. sweet.

ps: i strongly recommend that you download Weird Al Yankovich's 'Polkarama!'. its is the most ingenious polka song i have ever heard. ever. period.

aiyaaaahhhhh! i was lighting up fifteen candles for my 3D project, but i have a bad tendency of striking the match too hard, so the stick itself catches on fire and pwah! my right thumb tip is black ><

so why am i typing away while suffering pain instead of getting some ice? becuz i'm a moron like that...AND im waiting for this mac to upload my 3D document photos. sigh. the sacrifices one has to do for the sake of damn art.

so...this weekend has been rockin awesome so far. irina gave me these really cute toe socks of a snowman, along with snowflake earrings and cross earrings [which i will wear when i see baby elliot <3 <3]. gracey came all the way from 'nova to visit moi on saturday. we met at rockefeller and visited the awesome-yet-disappointing nintendo world, then walked on down to this japanese store called "book off", which is right near the public library. its a really really really cool place, filled with original japanese manga, japanese movies, japanese artbooks, AND [sigh] japanese music. wat aggravated me was not only did they have tons of ayumi, but her double cds, which would usually cost $50+, they have there for ten. i would've bought it, if i hadnt downloaded the entire cd already. sigh, if only i knew earlier bout this place ><.
they also have gackt cds and even dvds of his tours...gracey found one called 'GACKT BIBLE' lmfao! can you seriously get any more self-centered than that!?? aww man it wouldve been SO HYSTERICAL if gracey brought THAT back to Nova...its heresy i tell ya!

sigh...my goodness.
so after that we prance on to chi-town, where we finally went to wonton garden and were greeted by those cheeful men in hawaiian shirts [they wear it all year long XD]. aaaaand the moment we've been waiting for! THOSE FREAKIN PANFRIEND NOODLES! aaaaah, sweet heaven right there ^^, though later on it made my mouth really dry.
then we walked on to yellowrat bastard, where i bought lucy's present, then kidrobot, where i managed to buy gracey and jessi's gift. :]
and then...it was time for our tearful goodbye. after hugging and waving at each other across the canal platform, we parted ways...she back to nova, while i went to my dorm and worked my ass off till four in the morning...

alright so today...JESSI, TITA CORA, AND TITO FRANK! in chi-town...again...but i dont care, i was reunited with my bestest buddy once again. we skipped onward to elizabeth center, where we discovered these really cute 'boo' brand of black and white pigs. jessi bought us a cellphone lighter of those cute pigs [jess: which do you want, the black or the white one? me: is that supposed to be a racist question?], hamtaro tsinelas for lissa, other random stuff for her random friends, while tito frank, literally, bought a miniature kassidy rofl. wat was really weird was that the big toys, that had SALE posters on them, also had small broken-english phrases...such as this pink "blue-bear" stuffed toy, which said 'SALE: $15. NO COPY, my girlfriend like original' or 'I SILLY PIG I LAUGH ALL TIME', and the weirdest one, 'SMELLY DOG'. unfortunately i forgot my camera so jess took a picture of them.
afterwards we ate at hop-kee, where, i must say, they had the BEST SWEET AND SOUR CHICKEN I'VE EVER TASTED. gah, thankfully i took some of it back so i can enjoy it in my dorm.
then i took jess to yrb [no no no jess, not THAT yellow rat bastard lmao!] where we were dancing to the ghetto music and pointing out the 'bitch' belts. after buying some tokidoki clothing, and a pair of uggs...it was time for yet another tearful goodbye. ;_;. they went on to livingston and church i went back to pratt and lit my thumb on fire. aint it fascinating how this entry just wraps right around?

alright now i really think i should get some ice. yeeesh.

hhhheeeeeyyyyyy. i am officially one year away from turning the big TWO ZERO. ha ha, but i shouldnt worry about that now. damn, when i first started this pitas i was like what fourteen? and now i'm NINETEEN? where the hell did THAT come from?

traditionally i would start this entry december four at like, 11:50pm and end it right at midnight. but of course it changes now since i dont have a comp, and irina too the laptop with her to the studio. it probaby wouldve been best if i didnt do that last night...cuz at nighttime, the dorms were FREAKIN FREEZING, as in i wore two long blue pajama shirts, my blue hurley sweater, blue hellokitty pants, pink boots, and wrapped in a pink blanket sheet [trust me, with the contrasting blue and pink...it was one ODD sight], and i was STILL shivering. wat made it worse was that i had tons of projects to finish, and i was too distracted watching family, so half the time i was watching, the other half i was trying to get comfortable in my drawing position. in addition i kept trying to close the windows tight, while not trying not to trip over anything. it was such a horrible mess. so i woke up quite groggy and definitely not in the mood to spend six hours drawing endlessly.

but it was the little things that has made this day special so far...mom calling me up and saying she would try to leave the office early just to find stores that had Wiis in stock [which i totally forgot to mention...mom dad and monika came up on sunday and took me out to brunch, afterwards we tried looking for Wii...there were Wii's in stock at Toysrus, but the line wrapped around the block, so obviously we gave up], having 8490320432 people write on my facebook wall to tell me happy birthday, being able to shop for cupcakes and desserts i love, my drawing professor complimenting my drawings...these tiny things are all accumulated and made me real happy ^_^. it reminds me that its the small things in life that can really shape us <3.

alright welli should get going now. i just wanna say to my God, my friends, and my family, that i love you all...and because of u guys, i just couldnt be happier ^^

oh my god its december! and its what...sixty degrees outside? -___-;; that is just SO un-northeastern like...

bleh, tomorrow is art history and i am three or four chapters behind in reading. for finals i have a 3D light project, a drawing assignment in which an imaginative city grows in my room, a dew breaker essay and in class essay for english,489023402 LCD projects including a self portrait, a written assignment and semester break work, my 4D instructional video project [which is the only project i look forward to making], and a seven page art history paper interpreting 'the tree of jesse'. and what am i doing? sitting cold on my bed, furious of tonights episode of the office, and eating crackers which appeared mysteriously atop the microwave on the second day of school. they taste mysteriously good.

i'm also...as jessi suggested, resting my bones. after 4D class i went to manhattan [i cant say new york anymore cuz it doesnt state anything specific ><] and took pictures of times square, like i was some kind of tourist, for ideas for my drawing assignment. i guess i was quite convincing, because when i wondered over to rockefeller, some guy thought i was a photographer and handed me some pics of the plaza. groovy. after viewing the gargantuan rockefeller tree, i vistied Nintendo world...this is the first time i've been in that place since the *sigh* Pokemon center. the doors still bear that Pokeball handle. its a very...um...clean/empty place, meaning the area greatly contrasts from all of the hype and amount of awesome stuff from the pokemon center. there were Wii's along the wall, and kids were testing them out, while people were waiting patiently behind for their turn. upstairs there were Wiis and people playing gamecube, which were organized in a circle fashion. beh...the store is way too organized for me. as i predicted they sold no wii hardrives...only demonstrated them. looks like if i want one, i'd hafta do the online thang...which i'm not too fond of, cuz i'd rather have the wii directly in my hands right after purchasing it ><.

for my 3D light project, i am going to create these "bags" out of special paper material, light a candle in them, and specially arrange these bags in a dark site. this idea was inspired from back home, when during the holidays, the street would be lit with candles, and it was always awesome to walk/drive down the streets, with the candles glowing alongside the houses. if i am able to get this project to work and make it look nice...i'll take a picture of it.
now the problem was that the specific small candles i needed, were in a store on 21st street, so yeah, i decided to walk from 28 blocks down. i only realized after i got on Etrain that it was a bad idea...my legs were beyond aching, and my feet are still tingling. oh well...guess this is what i get from substituting my workout time with working. i dunno if it was worth walking all that way to buy candles...becuz i forgot to buy matches.

i dont even know why i am explaining this lil new york adventure i had a few hours ago. maybe its becuz i dont rant about my pratt subjects enough. XD
i guess this is enough motivation to continue writing my art history paper. woohoo!

Twas an awesome thanksgiving break indeed.Wheeeeeee!...or as Nintendo calls it...wiiiiiiiii!
Wendesday i reunited with ben, lucy, shelly, and gracey at the Livingston high school, revisting teachers and, of course, our dear C-hall, which has been corrupted by lil high school frosh. Since lhs will be dismissed at twelve, we arrived at eleven thirty: perfect timing becuz most likely the hall monitors don't care about roaming college students, the classes are most likely not doing anything, and all the teachers are still there. So yeah I was finally able to visit mrs. Brown...sigh she is still that cute perky art teacher who's attention span is like 5 seconds.

So after chatting with carey [and eating his homemade cookies which he didn't even bake] and manderson, we all met up with nardonie and geoff, ate at applebees, then hung out at ben's basement...just like old times. Actually, it was more of mike, geoff, shelly, grace, and lucy talking, while ben and I were filming for my 4D final project.

My final project is to make a "how to" instructional video, such as "how to dial a phone" or ‘how to stay awake in class’ or "how to tune a guitar". Such subjects are too mundane for my taste, so my friend Trang and I collaborated, she’s gonna make "how to become a jedi" and mine is "how to become a sith lord". I was able to reserve a camera for thanksgiving break, and what better person to be in my video than the star wars-addict ben himself? XD

Step 1, unleash your inner star wars nerd: I made ben smile while showing his star wars DVD collection, and react dramatically while watching darth maul and qui gon fight, to the point that ben fell down in excitement.
step 2, learn to use the force: this scene was a bit tricky to film, in order for the force trick to work, ben would need to throw objects in the exact place it was before. Nevertheless, it was cute, watching ben struggle and shaking his hand uncontrollably while trying to retrieve his penguin Pablo. We were about to film a part when ben couldn't use the force to move his heavy bowling pin, but was successfully able to move his TINY lando figure, but we decided against it, prolly becuz it was hard to get a clear scene of that TINY lando.
step 3, UTILITZE YOUR ANGER: this was the funniest/hardest/most embarrassing part to film, it was funny/hard becuz, knowing ben, its tough to growl and snarl and not laugh. We had to do several takes of this, becuz he just couldn't scream in anguish without snickering. The funniest part was when I filmed him destroying his bed, to the point that he unintentionally banged his head against the wall and his 'Usual Suspects' poster fell right on top of him. This part was also embarrassing becuz at one point, I forgot to turn off the camera; I turn the camera towards me, and lower it to the floor, so the camera zooms in on my boobs, then at the sides of ben's room. Unfortunately I didn’t discover this until I showed this footage to everyone ><
step 4, learn the code of the sith: I find it sad that george lucas or whoever actually composed such a code...but ben did a good job repeating the code with an angsty tone.
step 5,adorn dark attire: simple, Ben opening his closet and showing a black cape, black shirts, my vader helmet, and a red lightsaber. Problem was that you cant see the dark attire so much cuz the lighting in the room was so bad.
step 6, KILL ALL JEDI IN YOUR WAY: of course, whats a star-was video without a classic jedi battle? Ben of course kept complaining, since he was the sith-in training, and had to use my $20 dukoo lightsaber, while I was able to use his $200 luke skywalker lightsaber. Our battle was more of a dance than a fight, we twirled at simultaneously, and chased each other for quite some time around a tree.
step 7, apprentice yourself under a sith lord: geoff had to be vader, since he was a lot taller and was well…a guy. Whenever I wasn’t filming, it was fun watching geoff in the vader helmet and cape, dancing and singing ‘blues brothers’. In becoming an apprentice, ben had to be given a sith name, so what I made geoff do was while knighting ben, he looked around the backyard, spotted a tree, and said ‘you shall be called DARTH TREE’. [how the heck DID sidious come up with the name vader. Oh well. Not that I should care] and the end was of ben lifting up his hood and giving a thumbs up sign to the camera.

this was a lot longer than I thought. I dunno why I elaborated on this one, but if u are ever tired of democratic world peace existing in this galaxy, and want to become a sith lord…hopefully my instructions will come in handy ^_<
and here’s a pic of my dear friends

I dunno what happened to ben…perhaps he is so enlightened by all the filming we have done

Wow…all this typing and I’m still on Wednesday. So let’s tackle on to THURSDAY…TURKEY DAY
I was a bit disappointed to learn that we were gonna eat at the pastor’s house…its cuz I love spending thanksgiving with just the family, and not with 348902840923 other people. But nonetheless I had an awesome time, hanging out with shendz, mico, carol, and ate renate, watching ‘the aviator’.

Soo what am I thankful for? i’m very thankful for where I am right now. ever since I came to pratt I’ve been praying that my spiritual life wouldn’t diminish. Instead, I was able to develop a close bond with peeps at transFORM, and attend churches like remnant, journey, redeemer, where the people are just SO on fire for GOD. So I’m SO thankful that god has exceeded my prayer expectations, and I couldn’t be happier! <3 <3

So…FRIDAY aka BLACK FRIDAY
Wat sucks is that unlike the previous years, I went on a shopping spree with money from my own pocket. So I bought two shirts and a sweater from Hollister from money I pulled out of my own butt. Oh well. When we went home, lissa and josh came over becuz apparently they missed me a lot and wanted to hang out. I groaned at first, thinking they would destroy the house, but actually, I ENJOYED playing with them. First me, lissa, josh and monika battled in super smash bros., played chess, and danced away in DDR. Twas very fun indeed. Before going home, they ate ice cream…so when lissa and josh get sugared up again, they’ll be…not at my house. XP

Aww, aren’t they the coolest?

After they left, me, grace, mike, ben, meg, mark [haven’t seen him in forever!!], lucy, and mike lind saw ‘happy feet’. It was indeed a cute movie, a little weird though with all the subtle sexual connotations in it ><. Wat was also interesting was instead of making 3D humans…the spliced it with real human beings…so at first I was startled to find that the humans looked ridiculously real. >< I definitely recommend it for all u penguin fans AND robin Williams lovers. The two characters he played were hysterical! I think this is also the last movie steve Irwin made. Sigh…long live the croc hunter.

So that movie made me even more broke. And now I don’t even have money to buy some food! How pathetic is that? So peeps, if u insist that u get me a bday present that’ll make me smile and love u forever [even though I already do <3], money, is seriously…all I want right now ^^

Okay my hands are really tired. Ciao lovers!

Wednesday, November 22, 2006
woohoo! finally, a new freakin archive layout. this process reminded me of how much fun it is designing it, and how much of a bitch it is laying it out and html-ing it. >< i aint done just yet but i will be...
and in case u didnt notice i also updated my side profile...giving it that 'facebook' layout, cuz it reveals a lot more of who i am, instead of the disorganized profile it was before.

tomorrow's gonna be a blast, since i'm gonna be meeting up with the c-hall again and explore the high school. did i mention that i was home? XD

so in case i dont write in here again...HAPPY THANKSGIVING YA'LL. EAT LOTS AND LOTS OF TURKEY! [if u dont...give it to me so i can have some food for my dorm ^^;;]
