TRANG. YOU HAVE MADE MY LIFE.
::Thursday, April 18, 2007::
Happy April 18 everybody! If a baby was born the last time I posted an entry, he/she would be one month old today. ^_< bittersweet.
A big part of the reason why I was on a one month hiatus [like most television shows] is cuz the semester is drawing to a close *gasp* and so professors are piling up project after project, leaving me a lot less time to procrastinate, and when I do find procrastinating time, I feel a lot more guilty.
Yes. Freshman year is coming to a close. Speaking on that subject, this is supposedly my sophomore schedule for Fall semester:
MONDAY - 9:30 to 12:20:World Civilizations (Nekola)
12:30-3:20: Design Procedures (Weintz)
TUESDAY- 9:30 to 12:20: Visual Communications (Kimmel)
2:00 to 4:50: Digital Photography (Stone)
WEDNESDAY- 9:30 to 12:20: Illustration (Morlan)
3:30 to 6:20: Comm Imaging (Siegel)
6:30 to 9:20: Typography (Kelly)
FRIDAY - 12:30 to 2:20: 19th Cenutry Art (Longwell)
Graphic Design schedule = SUICIDE. Especially Wednesday. I must be insane, but this schedule was the only way I could get the professors I wanted and to get at least one day off. Hee hee, that free Thursday will be spent sleeping fron the energy I spent from that Wednesday. Besides, according to ratemyprofessors.com and all the graduate Graphic Designers, I've got the best professors. So hoo ha on that. =)
So...what's been going on with my life friendwise? Let's just say that one reason that I dont want school to end is because I am deeply in love with all my friends here. Trang, Andrea, Kate, Natalie, Chase, Jun...oh my god you guys are the best! From endlessly quoting 'I'm Forrest, Forrest Gump!' with Kate, to singing Aladdin with Andrea, to Super Smashing with Chase, to endlessly borrowing materials from Trang, to making fun of Chase and Trang's bead project with Jun...I mean where have you guys been all my life??? Seriously, my classes wouldn't be remotely as fun without you guys. To the KCF and TransFORM fellowship! My dear Eric, Kuang, Hannah, Sarah, Ellen, Miranda, Irene, Bekah, Raechel, Tori, Scott, Matt, Rick, Elice, Gavin<3 <3
So what activites have I been up to? Um, last friday was Pratt's 19th annual Drawathon! In which you would draw models and be served pizza, coffee, and drum entertainment, from 7am to 7pm. This all occured on the fourth floor of the main building, and each room was divided into models posing for 5-10 minutes, 20 minutes, one hour, three hours. I hung out with Kate mostly, exchanging quick Forrest Gump quotes in between poses or taking out our charcoal. Funny thing is, we haven't even seen the movie togther, we've just watched it separately a couple hundred times and are just able to incorporate Gump's quotes, in literally every situation ^^. By the end of semester, she and I are going to Bubba Gump...and who knows what craziness will go on there...
Oh here's something stupid I did on Monday: so I decide to heat up frozen pizza rolls for dinner. According to the box I should microwave the rolls for 9-10 minutes, yes that sounds a little suspicious but I was to braindead to notice/care. Now I've learned that for a high-powered microwave, it would take about half the time than instructed on the box, but nonetheless, I placed in the rolls and punched in nine minutes. Everything was fine for the first three minutes, so I began fixing my bed, when suddenly by the fourth minute, flames started arising! I quickly stopped the microwave and once i opened the door, waves and WAVES of smoke came out! And, yep you guessed it...the fire alarm triggered. I cursed myself and in my head as I opened up the window, took out the charcoal pizza rolls and confessed to the security downstairs that it was all my fault. The security forgave me of course, and I stepped outside to here a bunch of my dorm mates complaining and getting worried since they smelled something burning; one girl actually said 'Which bimbo set the fire alarm off now??'. Yup, that was definitely not my day. It's especially embarassing since once the fire alarm goes off, the fire department rushes over. So yeah, I haven't used the microwave since...I am NEVER using those pizza rolls again, and our room still slightly wreaks of burnt pizza. I told Trang and Jun of my unfortunate experience and they suggested I should've used the charbroiled pizza rolls as charcoal for Drawing.Prrreeowww.
Alright it's almost 1am and I am feeling quite nonsensical. Now I must go back to work on my endless amounts of paper. Ugh, I'm up late at night doing papers! I specifically went to an Art School so I can AVOID doing Papers! *@$%#@%$%

Happy March 18!

Snow? On March 18? That's preposterous! It was much worse driving at night when the snow was coming down. I couldn't help but slide back and forth through unplowed roads! 'Twas painful indeed ><. I'm really scared on how the summer will be like, with this whole global warming situation, i wouldn't be surprised if it was like 200 degrees outside >_O.
Alright so yesterday was...TRACY'S SWEET SIXTEEN!

Sweet mother of South Dakota! Tracy's GORGEOUS in a dress! Much contrast to her tomboyish nature. The party/cotillion took place in the Marriott [same as Jessi's] with her girl entourage wearing lavender gowns and the guys, including her escort Jeep wearing tuxes. The whole cotillion and the 16-rose dance was lovely, and then it was time for the lighting of the 16 candles. Surprisingly Tracy dedicated her second candle to Me, Mico and Jessi!!! It was sooo touching how she loves us three, no matter how deranged we are. But then again we've all had awesome times way back then: Obsessions with Neopets, Dragonball Z [especially Kageta, Micolo, and Toran ^^], Tenchi, SailorMoon, Egg Emergency with Chancey, THOSE pants and DragonballZ shirt, toying Tracy with that whole Mika and Kei storyline, that Master and Mind play...HOLY CRAP THAT'S A SHIZZLE LOAD OF MEMORIES RIGHT THERE! LMFAO I LOVE YOU TRACY! YOU WILL ALWAYS BE THE TORAN THAT ROCKS MY WORLD! <3 <3 <3

After that candle, we three realized that there was some purpose to our lives. LOLZ Hallelujah!
And how did the rest of the night end? I believe the program says it all: Dance...Dance...Dance... It was to the point that I slept in late this morning due to my aching body. Hee hee but it was totally worth it.

When you're at a party and lovin' it...you can NEVER have too much Strawberry Daiquiris =).
Alright I should be off, though I really don't want to because that means I would be going to bed, and when I wake up, it's time for class again. Sigh.

Hello Hello! How art thou peeps? Yeah I haven’t typed up an entry for awhile, but I made it up with a new layout ^_~
Many things have happened since my last entry, such as…I am on SPRING BREAK and…THE BEAUTIFUL WEDDING OF ANNA AND APOLLO! Of course, such a momentous occasion cannot be fully described without pictures.
Now one of the good things about weddings is that you get to meet up with peeps you haven’t seen in a long time. Such examples include EDWIN ENG, a fellow Livingston High School alumnus who I haven’t seen in three years. JERRY LIANG, who is now married and working in Virginia, Pastor Solis and their son Andrew, and KAYLA, the sweetest little girl I have met.

Every time I saw her I just had to take a picture of her. I’m pretty sure she doesn’t remember me but she let me take pictures of her anywayz. [Aren’t I so darn sexy in that dress? XP]
So the wedding begins with the sponsors [which include my mom and dad], groomsmen and bridesmaids, Best Men, Maid of Honor, then finally a white carpet rolls out and the flower girls spread the petals, and finally…THE BRIDE:

OH MY GOD I AM IN LOVE WITH HER WEDDING DRESS! The moment she was presented I started crying…*sigh* such a beautiful moment.
Of course Apollo was crying too, and why shouldn’t he? They’ve been together for eight years and finally its time for them to become Hubby and Wife. ^^

After they exchanged vows, said their I do's, and were pronounced as Mr. and Mrs. Apollo Palomares, they walked down the aisle filled with mist and bubbles, and then it was time for endless picture-taking! Mico and I make a lovely couple ^^

Dorothy and Mark! Oh how I love them so! Mark's older brother Chris is getting married as well, in the Caribbean this summer.

Now the reception took place in The Venetian, which Jessi and I called, a Second Heaven. I mean, the cocktail hour had every single small entree you could think of! From mini burgers, to stuffed mushroom, to calamari, to sushi and sake, to fruit, Italian cuisines, steak, EVERYTHING. This is a beautiful Ice sculpture bears the Initials/Logo of the Newlyweds.

RJ and Renate! Perhaps they will get married next year?? [if they read this, I hope they don't throw knives at me ><] Well it just may be because Renate HAPPENED to catch Anna's bouquet and RJ HAPPENED to catch Apollo's garter. God must be sending a sign...^_~

Okay so I've described how excellent the food was, but words cannot describe their spectacular DESSERT BAR. A whole wing filled with different desserts! From Ben and Jerry's, to a Popcorn stand, to sweet sushi, to a Cotton Candy stand, to Ice Cream Waffles, to all sorts of Chocolate Strawberries and...I didn't see it, but a CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN! Sigh, I never knew such a place existed. If all else fails in my life, I would just work here in this place and eat all the food while no one is looking. HOWEVER, there was one fault: After pigging out on the dessert, I just couldn't dance anymore >< I wasn't the only one, we ALL needed to digest.

At some point in the night, while clinging the glasses, I think Mark P. hit the glass too hard and broke it. Nice job Mark. Even the waiter exlaimed "FOR SHAME!"

So theoretically, when Anna and Apollo have little ones of their own, their pictures would look somewhat like this. Sigh, I LOVE YOU TWO ENDLESSLY! YOU ARE MY INSPIRATION AND I CAN CLEARLY SEE THAT YOU TOO ARE SO IN LOVE WITH EACH OTHER AND WITH GOD! <3 <3 <3
...Man, they're probably on their honeymoon right now, meaning I wont be able to see Anna or Apollo for another month. Oh well.
If I didn't mention, this wedding was on Sunday, and according to my calendar, nothing as interesting is going to occur until...SATURDAY, which is dear Tracy's sweet 16.
SWEET 16??? OH MY GOD!
