oh poop. it's 11:30 pm, and my internet's finally working...i decided to talk about NY tomorrow, but then i took a last glance at saskia and gracie's xanga and they already ranted about NY; so with a couple of spoils from them, i decided 'what the heck, i'll just talk about it NOW'

on a sidenote, a whole bunch of other people were also invited, but due to their laziness and fear of the rain, the bunch-of-other-people minimized to only me, gracey, and saskia {and monika, and mom, and tita rosa}.

unlike last time, us getting on the bus by ten-ish, we get on by nine (kudos to loosey). as i have mentioned in my previous entry, monika and i immediately ran to ToysRUs times square, and bought the darth vader helmet for thirty bucks. sure enough, once we bought it, i ripped it apart and tried it on. ha ha, so not only did i get to press buttons that produced the heavy breathing and movie phrases, but there's a certain recording button that u press down, then say something, and ur voice will change into darth. now the whole purpose of this helmet is to freak others out, so after buying darth vader, monika and i took a ride on the ferris wheel, with the helment on me, attracting stares and awkward glances from people on different store levels.

so after that, we decided to walk 14-ish blocks to central park. now mind you, my feet were still sore from last night's five-hour ddr spree [yesterday, saskia and i went over gracey's house from 2 to 8 DDR-ing like crazy], so these 14 blocks were 14 blocks of pure pain. yet i managed to make it.
now central park is where the fun began. after ordering a mountain dew, gracey, saskia and i recorded some video clips of me, in the helmet, making a complete fool out of myself: observing saskia drink mountain dew, then try myself, which obviously fails since the helmet's in the way...and me chasing pidgeons unrelentlessly. now some of you may have trouble imagining this {though i bet jessi has no problem}, so if you want, i can send you the video clips. don't laugh too hard.

so of course, after central park, we traveled by subway to china down, which was about a four-block walk after getting off the N/Q train. and of course, we go to elizabeth plaza, cuz it's basically the only place i know where all the korean and japanese merchandise are commeddled together for the purpose of overwhelming the customers. i know this concept definitely hit gracey hard. ha ha. well after thanking gracey again and again, i was able to purchase all 17 episodes of samurai champloo ^_^. saskia and gracey purchased long silver earings, then gracey purchased all 13 episodes of gravitation, an FMA necklace, and FINALLY, FFVIII. saskia got star things. i dunno why i'm listing our purchases. i just can't help bogging down to details.

to make it up, this part has less detail: after subway-ing back to times square, we explored a bit until five o'clock. hmm, the details that happened during this exploring is probably best told, not in my POV, but through grace and saskia, cuz most of the humor was directed to them ^_~

so by six, we were already on the happy bus home, with us tired like nuts and butts. (disclaimer of mounds)

well, nothing really much else to say. only that i'm slightly behind on school and SAT work, and i dread the next two days.

and saturday morning too, cuz of that stinkin' SAT practice test. but saturday late afternoon/evening? COFFEEHOUSE!

oh darn, just when i thought my compie was healed of it's viruses, some worm gets into the system, and its present is preventing my comp from signing into my DSL. the DSL help and support program for internet problems does not help cuz u need to be online for that, and dad told me to call up the service, but i'ma too lazy to do that. so now i'm stuck here in the library, checking gmails and tracking packages.

hmm, so i guess i forgot to mention that its spring break. yeah i should be jumping for joy, but i've got some SAT-ing to do, and a four-hundred page book to read. i know my other fellow livingston-ers are not enjoying the break as wel, since they've got some AP studying to do. aww, that's gonna be me next year.
tito frank flew to brazil, eh, saturday? and so tita rosa's gonna stay with us 'till may 9th. i got all giddy and euphoric when she said that my spanish was very understandable, and that if i was in brazil (a portugese-speaking country), i'd get by the people with no problem. then all my giddy-ness drained immediately out when i was speaking to her and realized i completely forgot the word for banana >_O

tita rosa at least befriended monika's friend's mom. rosemary. um. on friday our family hosted a dinner so tita rosa and rosemary could get acquainted with each other. then yesterday we visited rosemary {we dragged along the bouncy gracey as well} at the mall so tita rosa could get her makeup done for free {whoa, it is only now that i realize how alike their names are}...
while waiting for tita rosa's makeup to be finished, gracey, monika and i went rummaging for ff8 through the different video game stores. once we entered KB monika and i immediately ran to the darth vader helments, and stalked gracey with them, while imitating the famous vader breathing sound. it was then that i realized how much fun that was, so when we go to new york tomorrow, monika and i are going straight to ToysRUs and getting that darn helment! {gosh, i am DEFINITELY rubbing off from ben}

hmm, that's all i can share for now. it feels kinda awkward writing down in this pitas in a public place, with your back turned, and strangers could easily look over my shoulders. besides i think monika is impatient to leave. ^_^
COME ONE COME ALL TO THE COFFEE HOUSE THIS SATURDAY!

to all those people who can't go...what? are you saying that you have...PLANS? CANCEL THEM! and GO TO THE COFFEEHOUSE DARNIT! ^o^

err...i just took a shower and i STILL smell like a combination of hairspray and axis.
you see, during commercial graphics, nadav felt intimidated sitting near a wasp nest, so once those lil wasps came buzzin through the room, good ol' pete strolled over and sprayed those bugs with his deodorant...freshenning up the whole room to the point of stink. ha ha. now it's all over my hair.

okay enough digression...POST PROM PICS OF NYC!

michellie, loosey, and jaasssooon at planet hollywood, where we tipped our waiter, "john", the same amount we tipped the bathroom service-lady.

...and the table next to us: meg (ponytail sticking out), ben, nat, and a mike who doesn't want his pic taking...i think. sigh. this pic is actually after i fixed mike's red eye...THREE TIMES, and it STILL looks awkward. grr...

ha ha, us suburban peeps on a subway. we all screamed at the sudden movement of the subway, and the surrounding newyork folks musta thought we were crazy. ooh, nice nails meg. what the heck is jason looking at?

and...FINALLY...what you've ALL BEEN WAITING FOR...[i know lucy and gracey definitely have...]

THE NAKED COWBOY OF TIMES SQUARE! [hey hey hey, i know it's not a literally naked cowboy, but if that DID happen, it would be something this pitas can't handle >< >< ><]. ha ha, he was holding gracey's hair, and hopefully she's washed her hair several times, cuz WHO KNOWS where THOSE HANDS have BEEN ^_~

o-kay that's enough from me...i'm too lazy to do anything else...

alright alright alright...i'm SORRY i haven't updated in so long. i guess no excuse will suffice, but nevertheless...aaah!

i'm gonna make this brief, cuz the rest of this entry will be filled with prom pictures...which i may add, prom was AWESOME, i didn't know that i dancing is soo much fun. michelle's dances were so ~seductive~ *grins* and saskia and kept dipping low. HA HA. girls rock. we can dance together and not look gay. XD jeff was also an awesome dancer, and so was mike. my prom date ben was well, ben (lol) which got me quite disappointed.

well that's all i'll say about now. as for POST-PROM and the PICTURES OF THOSE, i'll post that up perhaps tomorrow ...

so here it is starting from that faithful late thursday afternoon:

alright, so starting from the left. avi, heather, me, ben, and jaaaassooon, at the parking lot of the high school.

meg (i LOVE her shawl thing), me, and lucy

inside the high school with me and ben...

me and shendz...

and lucy and jason...

saskia, me, michelle, lucy

at the skylands prom! kristina, lucy, gracey, liz, michelle, and heather on the dance floor!

lind, nardonie,loosey, jaassson, and ben.{oh my gosh! jason and ben have like, the same ear size! lolz }

nardonie and jaaassooon doing who-knows-wat...

and finally, jeff, nardonie, and ben.
yeah i have tons more prom pics, but it's too html/time consuming. if u wanna see the rest, feel free to email me. sigh. i also would've come up with more creative captions, but nah, it's almost twelve, and i gotta study for precalc ><
alright so coming up...post prom NYC pics. there isn't as much, but lucy, michelle, lizzy, and gracey should know what's coming up *wink wink*

this is from Max Lucado's 'Grace for the Moment', a lil book that brings inspirational thoughts for each day of the year:
When human hands fastend the divine hands to a cross with spikes, it wasn't the soldiers who held the hands of ejsus steady. it was GOD who held them steady. those same hands taht formed the oceans and built the mountains. those same hands that designed the dawn and crafted each cloud. Those same hands taht blueprinted one inredible plan for you and me
take a stroll out to the hill. out to calvary. out to the cross where, with holy blood, the hand that placed you on the planet wrote the promise, "GOD will give up his only Son befre he'd give up on you"

WHOA! how could his be? GOD gave up his SON?? for lil pathetic me??? HIS love is just too great to fathom. sigh.

i love GOD, and i love you all :)

COME TO THE COFFEE HOUSE ON APRIL 30TH (i know i know gracie, we've been postponin' the date, but this time, we're defintiely set) we're gonna have DIFFERENT BANDS PLAYING, hopefully one of them'll play maroon five, and play that...song that's always on dear jessi's pitas ^_~
...and SUBWAY! and cookies! and COFFEE! cuz what'a COFFEE house without COFFEE! *pause* how corny...

whoa, it's 10 pm, and i gotta start on some SAT work! bleck. @_@

happy belated easter! EASTER is not about white fluffy bunnies, or stuffing ur cheeks with peeps or...finding chocolate eggs {though i admit, egg hunting is STILL fun}, it's about JESUS CHRIST BEING RAAIIISSSEEEEDDD from the dead, after being crucified. so JUMP for JOY! celebrate the DAY we have been SET FREE! WOO HOO!

bleh, that's all they hype that's left in me.><
i feel so guilty that i don't write in this thing anymore. what i feel even more guilty about is that when i DO write, it's usually meant to express all my complaints. i should expand my topics, and just write about basically anything. but then i know you'll get bored. my life is more interesting if u actually got to know me in person-and see how much more silly i am. jessi can testify.
yeah, those are my lil complaints. we all have them. ack!

yay! muchos kudos to shendi in her performance for OKLAHOMA! u were awesome man, i have no idea how u can stand up there, smiling hard while trying to pour out ur singing voice, while dancing. that's some hardcore talent right there. in addition, u looked so good with ur makeup and curly hair! benj didn't recognize you at first. hee hee, well congrats again and to the rest of the crew! *sings*: OOOOO-KLAHOMA where the wind comes sweeping down the plain...and the wavin' wheat, can sure smell sweet, when the wind comes...right behind the rain? i don't remember...^_^

sooo, how're ya'll doing tonight? fine and dandy? that's nice to know. today was my first day of SAT classes at Kaplan. since friday i saw OKLAHOMA, which ended around 11, i didn't sleep 'till one.
mom made me wake up around seven, so i can drive monika to montclair state {i tried to look for mr. carey, but he was nowhere in sight :( } for her GEOMETERY CLASS. then i drove back to east hanover to attend my first kaplan class. hee hee, a very small office, but the rooms were so near and orderly, and the people were so..good looking (that is in no way to be connoted as pervie. maybe it's not the best word for a compliment, but watever) ^.^

other people from livingston were there: wong, james, jimmy, calvin c., boyle, chris li, and prolly more. since this was the first day, we were given the diagnostic test, a practice SAT that took a painful four hours to finish. since i only had milk for breakfast, and i technically didn't have a lunch, my head was spinning by the time i got to the ninth or tenth section. the first section though was the essay writing: a response to LANGSTON HUGHES' quote: hold on to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly. *sigh* i used that exact quote for my *shudders* poetry project. brings back those lovely memories of staying up every day 'till three. :D
so anyway, after those four long hours, i finish, and get going on home.

so now i'm here. with nothing in particular to do. hmm, why don't i sing again? okay! shendi! sing with me!:
there's a bright golden haze on the meadow!
there's a bright golden haze on the meadow!
the corn is as high as en elephant's eye,
and it looks like its climbin clear up to the sky...
oh what a beautiful morning! oh what a beautiful day!
i've got a beautiful FEELING!
everything's going my WAY!

sigh. chase, u performed that veeerry well.
