HA! 86 ON CHEM! AND I GUESSED ON LIKE, FIVE QUESTIONS!
erg.
shendz has departed to china, and she will be greatly missed. jessi will soon depart to bakersfield, so i'll have no one to talk to on spruce run sunday...but meeks... ;_; ha, just kidding.
sigh. let's see wat i can remember from last week, i don't hafta ride the bus cuz saskia drives me home ^_< , and i spent my whole weekend writing up an eight-page fictional short story while studying for two chem tests. [wanna read the short story? im me] meaning i didn't spend a lot of time finishing my summer starlight chapter, but i'm thinking of finishing two chapters, cuz i only have a 2-3 page short story to write. [i'm writing about CLOWNS darnit XP], and i wanna get the starlight chapters DONE by meeks' sweet sixteen...
i saw ben everyday at the academy so that was cool. he kept annoying me to watch terminal and anchorman, and i kept annoying him to finish j.d. salinger's nine stories. i DO wanna see I, robot though.
last saturday was council meeting, so helsa, heidz and i were stuck watching tv 'till one in the morning. nothing special was on, but we were watching the korean channel, and this particular band named SG wannabe, had a music video with three YOUNG boys [6 or 7 maybe] who were lip singing the song. it was disturbing; they had pimp outfits, ear piercings, and one korean woman was groping one of the kids. >< that scarred me.
all this and watching lost in translation [movie was so dry, that we stopped watching half way] and iron chef ^_^
urg. it's hot and humid here. i need a nap real bad...
and REGGIE, i want SUIKODEN or SAIYUKI mangas, or no cookies for you...~_~

its' raiiining...it's pouuuuring....stupid weather reporters. they stated that the rain would come late afternoon, instead, the rain arrived by around ten-ish ><
aced another chem test! hooray! erg, bad part is, this morning, our teacher introduced our new chapter, but i was half asleep when he explained moles, becuz i stayed up real late last night. hanging out with my church peeps at ritz ^_< also, when our teacher gave us a worksheet on moles, the problems had the same concept of dimensional analysis, and i failed that test a while back ><
i have decided. along with going online, reading, and sleeping, i am going to watch one disney movie every two days or less. {hey, i grew up with the best movies out there...so u gotta love disney} today and yesterday was pocahontas. i can't believe i cried at the end ;_;
...okay enough randomness. since it's so dark and gloomy here, i might as well catch up on some sleep z_Z

jiaa. happy belated fourth of july!
so should i describe my voyage to vermont? eh, sure why not.
we left saturday morning, with mara and lin, and the plan was to take the road to upstate ny, then across the river to vermont. not a very bad trip i may add. monika and i are used to sitting in the car with absolutely nothing to do, since we've endured it TWICE when driving to chicago XP
when we arrived at the state, i saw nothing but farm {not a very comfortable site for girl who's spent her whole life adapted to living suburban from a city ><}land. wat i found interesting was that unlike back home, u'd see signs that resemble "children crossing", but here, they had signs with cows and tractors, signaling to watch out for them. ha ha.
vermont's not a bad place. quite peaceful. but since lin's house is near the university, there were tons of college punks roaming around. it was late afternoon-ish when we arrived, so we all just walked downtown. there was a streetperformer who unicycled through a tight-rope, that was interesting, and several skateborders doing tricks around the stores. there was a borders and i had the urge to find Dnangel, but was too preoccupied with the streetperformer juggling fire sticks.
after pigging out at ben and jerry's, we visited lin's work place. he's a chip designer, and one of his co-workers was still working, and showed us wat he was designing. O_O it's like nothing i've ever seen: a layout full of multicolored boxes of different sizes. gosh, just like monika's box pictures, only chip designers get paid for their work.
since this all happened on saturday, and the weather-dude predicted that rain was gonna fall, our family just watched fireworks by nine. pweety sight
erk. i elaborated too much, so i'll just lightly describe sunday:
since we live near the beach, lin and i biked around the shoreline {leaving mom behind...}, took a train ride, then went to ben and jerry's factory. chock full of ice cream! and we also visited the "flavor graveyard", where the ben and jerry's flavors that were not successful, "died". monka got traumatized when she read "chocolate chip cookie dough" on one of the tombstones, but mom reassured that it was the FROZEN YOGURT that "died" ^_~
monday we left, and while traveling...I SAW MY VERY FIRST MOOSE!!! XD
came to home sweet home around late afternoon-ish, and saw spider-man 2. shoot, that was such an awesome movie.
Gracey: and this is coming from a girl who said "it doesn't seem appealing"
Me: shuttup
i'm willing to see it again with anyone who hasn't seen it yet...
ew, i got homework to do. i'm sure your eyes are tired from reading this...watever. so see ya.
oh yeah...
ACED MY CHEM TEST!! HAA!!

today was the last day of SAT's! ^_^ i guess it was pretty worth it. i learned lotsa vocab, and a ways to perform better in sentence completion, and reading comprehension.
math, well the first two days was kinda wasted, cuz it was all algebra. but then we went over the harder questions dealing with percentages, probabilities, etc. i got traumatized when our teacher went over geometery, cuz I don't remember ANYTHING ><
yesterday was jessi's first day of flute lessons, for the summer. i gave her my handful o' pieces i played during the school year. she did better than i thought she would, so i hope her fingers will be whizzing [not the best word choice i know ^^;;] through the scales in no time! >_^
of course we bought the gamecube link, so her pokemon in the GBA can play with my colluseum in gamecube {too long of a story on how we bought the link XP}. it was really cool, her Yusaku (swampert) versus my Dios (Umbreon)! though she doesn't like my dios too much...cuz her yusaku flinched three times XD
well, all said and done. now i won't see my youth pals 'till next friday, cuz i'm off to vermont! maybe i'll see spider man 2 there. heh...
Tuesday, June 29, 2004
hey, yesterday was the start SAT's. three hours of SAT's. but the teachers felt bad, and usually brought in snacks and treats for us to munch on. they also allowed us to drink and eat in the class, so that was cool.
heh it was interesting, our first SAT teacher (teaches the writing and other english parts in the SAT's), ms. myrna, taught us an intersting way of learning vocab, by giving us all a smiley face ball {we could keep ^_^} and learn the 26 words we chose [one for each letter of the alphabet] while throwing the ball. it DID help, i was suprised. >_^
next teacher was mr. b, and we're learning ALGEBRA 2 things. me, brenda {did i mention she's in my class? ><} and mike L are in my class, and we're driven crazy. actually, mike brought in sandpaper to sand his eyes...
as some of u know, i lost something really expensive and i can't find it, so i'll hafta face dad and my teacher. eww...
Lissa and Josh are here. Monika is with her tutor, leaving me to babysit. josh is begging me to finish this entry, cuz he wants to see pokemon. ha, so i better finish up...
THERE'S GONNA BE A MULAN 2!!! LOLZ! i'm laughing my head off at the preview, while gracey's in hestitation.

hi everybody, thought i just might as well start this entry with a small greeting...
this week's been alright i suppose. youth at meek's place, with reggie leading, throwing us mind-trick questions, including:if God's so almighty and powerful, can he create a rock he can't move? ^_~ heh heh, but overall it was cool, cuz he did challenge us how strong our faith was. next week, jerry's teaching i heard ^_^
saturday was nothing but composing and editing my villanelle, not the easiest thing in the world ya know, but i read it to gracey, and she said it made sense...and then watching cold mountain, which was good but regret watching, and radio.
oh yeah, my report card. not bad overall, unweighted GPA is 3.834, and all A's except for Bio, ha. in "celebration" dad bought me the last samurai soundtrack, mom bought me a necklace and rings to match the design.
yesterday i heard that my aunt, uncle, and cuzn from cali are visiting in august. me is so excited cuz i haven't my cuzn since my grandma died, which was like, in 1998 o_O, though her family attempted to visit us many times before, so i'll believe that they're actually here when they call saying they arrived at the airport XP
hm, i'm not gonna look foward to this week, it's SAT's from one to four, and to top it all, Lin's with me, all excited we're gonna be in the same class once again. erg, that also means i hafta pay more for my bus fair, and since the bridge i use as a shortcut to walk home is gonna be reconstructed, i'll hafta change my route @_@
you're probably sick of my complaining right now XP
though i do look foward to thursday, cuz jessi's gonna pick me up and we'll buy the gamecube link TOGETHER! XD

one of the many poems i wrote for creative writing:
[this first one, our assignment was to write a poem based on things we do to try and fall asleep:]
Outstretched on my canopy
Tiny dots spread out
I try to determine one from the other
But each speck seemed connected
I shift my body
To find another way
Staring at my red clock
Half past four
The ticking echoes in the quiet room
Its syncopation soothing my ears
But not my eyes or mind
I shift once more
To try again
The moon illuminates the canopy
Shadows silently stretched
The room remaining undisturbed
While my mind still filled with distraction
Too lazy to try anymore
The hour of the sunrise approaches
A bird's morning cry breaks the silence
A lullaby filled with sorrow but yet
Still sweet and melodic
Like the playing of a harp
To relax my stiffened soul
I smile knowing this was the one
As my eyelids droop
Finally closing off the world
And dreaming up my own reality
like it? hate it? tell me ^_^. kelvin came today for creative writing, dreading the fact that he is still trapped in the wrath of poetry, since we both had rothbard last year. to top it all, we found out that our teacher is not our REAL teacher, but just a subsitute, and she said that our real writing teacher is from lhs. i was about to faint from shock, while kelvin spazzed. ^_~
my other poem i'll write in my xanga. so yeah...

happy summer everybody! today was the last day of school! though of course i didn't go. well, i'm officially an upperclassman. i dunno whether to jump for joy, or weep cuz i'm just THAT much closer from graduating high school.
well, too bad, cuz ur gonna still read my complaints of summer school at the academy, so ha.
i hate the fact that i still hafta wake up early, grr. chem's first. our teacher's pretty nice, and most of the students are from livingston...frosh-becoming-sophs to be more specific. gosh i'm like, the stupidest person there. seriously. i don't even wanna repeat my stupid comments, i should just never say anything. well, the subject's not that bad, just too many calculations ><
then i have fifteen minutes to go to my creative writing class...i'm pretty sure i'm the oldest kid there (same with chem.) but watever. we're writing different kinds of poems, and how to be specific on certain things we're describing, for example, we wrote a poem on ways we fall asleep [i'd recite it here, but i handed it in to the teacher], and we had to make a certain decription so specific that the reader can smell/touch/taste/see it. if my explanation doesn't make sense, i'm sorry ^_~
my writing teacher's okay, it's just that she never likes any expressive phrases i write in my poems that reveal my true emotions, but instead she likes my simple, blunt ones. heh, maybe it's the content...oh well.
after school, i walk/run across the busy streets [WAY easier said than done ><, let's just say, many cars were beeping their horns], then take the 1:12 transit bus to the library. since the 1:12 bus-stop is at the mall, and i usually arrive 30 minutes early, i just go shopping for awhile XP. the bus ain't scary, and at least the driver is patient with me. ha, that's all that counts
yesterday, i arrived at the lhs library around 1:30, so i met up with lucy and grace, "camping out" in mike's backyard. i complained about chemistry sig. figs., stared at clouds, and dragged gracey home with me once again, to watch lotr rotk, and the last samurai. both she loved, and was COMPLETELY boy crazy {notice my emphasis on COMPLETELY}, she left around nine at night, and then i went to my room, to study hard for chem.
*sigh* that's about all i'll say for now, i have a chem test on thursday, and that's not fun. oooh, dad's watching the last samurai again [i can watch that movie everyday for the rest of my life and STILL not get tired of it...okay maybe i will eventually], maybe i'll go sneak a peek XP
oh btw, since reggie wants us to switch our emails, i now have a new yahoo email addy, so if u wanna send me stuff, aim me and i'll tell u my address.

yay! no more finals! (for this year...darn)algebra was over by nine-thirty am, so us peeps that only take alg. and don't double up, had absolutely nada to do. mike went to work XP, so lucy, gracie and i strolled to seven eleven (leaving nat, and since we felt sorry, we held a short remembrance of him while drinking slurpies, but lucy kept bursting out laughing). while walking to and from seven-eleven, we saw two trucks, one said, NAKED (oranges...mind you), one said DORITOS. ha. then when gracie and i were walking to my house, we saw a big machine truck called TREE KING...
we spent hours playing colusseum, calibur, and kart ^_^. grr, i suck with talim now, so i hafta play calibur more often now...and i'm still promising myself, that by summer, i'll finish crystal chronicles >_<. i guess every time i look at my nine page walkthrough to the final level, i gawk.
after some playing we pigged out on pizza and sour cream and onion chips (mix them together..it's SO FREAKIN GOOD) while watching, Furuba of course. sigh. haru and kyou's eyes... ><
then i drove her home [so glad i didn't crash into cars, since i haven't driven in WEEKS], and her excitement is still packed inside of her... ha ha, now i have nothing to do, except practice piano, while the rain is pouring outside
okay anyway, this is my summer schedule:
chemistry preview: 8:05-10:10 June 21-July 30
creative writing: 10:25-12:30 June 21-July 30
SAT course: 1:00-4:00 June 28-July 2
yeah, summer school, kinda sad right?
ew, it's so stuffy in this room, me gonna turn on the fan...

new layout. did it all today. wasn't planned. heh, when was the last time i made a blue scheme? ah well...^_^
first finals today! english and u.s.! english wasn't hard at all, though gracie was a little nutty bout the vocab memorization before.
u.s. was a little more harsh, especially since i didn't really study thoroughly (that spelled right? doesn't look like it...o_O) for the section on big businesses and corporations. wat made it worse, was right when i was on question seventy, i had a, um, bladder problem, and it was hard to hold in. so i rapidly completed the essay and scrambled to the bathroom. oh well, i was bound to fail that portion anyway, since we're supposed to format the essay in a way that i didn't like.
erg, enough surfin, i was on for about three hours, and i must study spanish culture! ><
