ha ha! already i've forgotten which things i was planning to write here. hopefully it'll come to me as i go along. ok! so i have to say my work ethic is not something to be desired. i'm too lazy to finish even the videogames i play.. and yet i have purchased another game today which i know i'll never, ever fully complete: animal crossing! for those familiar with the game, i know what you're thinking. it's "duh! of course you'll never finish cause that game never ends!". animal crossing is a sim game... but a really cutsie-poo one. i started playing it when one of my brother's friends let me borrow it last year, in fact it was exactly 12 months ago. i know this cause one of my animal neighbours commented on not seeing me for just that long (i think it was Doc, the Bunny). as a sim that's cute and that will never be over, it's a scary thing to own! will it take over my life, pathetic as it is?! gee, i hope not. ^u^
now for the few that read the drivel that is my writing, you might wonder why i purchased a possible harbringer of my doom. well one reason is that since gamecube is now old hat, many video stores don't bother making this old game available for rent; and two is cause it was $19.99! that seems nice and cheap, even if it's a very used copy from blockbuster with a smudged & scatched up cover that ain't too pretty. oh boy! i can't wait till it's halloween! that's the day when the whole town of Wooly will dress up and steal candy from their unsuspecting neighbours. and if i do things right, maybe Tortimer the turtle mayor will give me the rare Katrina's Tent model to decorate my home with. *fingers crossed*

personally, i'm leaning towards the first one as the best, fleur&ron second, leaving viktor&hermione third. not surprisingly, i'm happily anticipating this movie! i find there's nothing like a HP movie (or LOTR not long past) to break up the dreariness that is the winter months. and according to the mugglenet counter, it's just 28 days 39 minutes and 19 seconds left.
oh i almost forgot but luckily not, i wanted to share this clever quote i found yesterday on

small talk
this is a super boring entry, but something is better than nothing and i do feel guilty about not blogging as much as i should. sigh... feeling really cranky at the moment, which is the mood i always fall into when there's stuff to be done. so i'm adding something here in hopes that it will be a cathartic thing for me.
part of the reason i'm feeling more blue could be the change in weather. it's getting colder and now the sky has a light grey tinge instead of yellow. funny enough i'm not depressed by rainy weather or when the sky is a dark grey. it's the pale light grey that bothers me big time; don't know why but i feel ill at the sight. unfortunately, i'm one of those people whose state of mind can change based on the surroundings. it's a handicap really, especially since you can't control how places look. your influence goes as far as your room and home; for everywhere else, it's at the mercy of outside influences. if i think about it, this might explain why i like sanrio~ish adornments to my stuff, why i must customize my school wallpaper and so on. it makes a difference to my mental state, while for others they couldn't care less.
i know it's selfish, but i wish that others could cater to me (i'll be honest and say that's a personal motto due to the brat in me). it's so undemocratic i know, but it'd be great if there was some kind of law to ensure places were beautified. some rules off the top of my head:
all ugly old buildings that have none of the classic charm should be knocked down and replaced
limit urban sprawl so that large patches of green are maintained
and don't have buildings with brown brick interiors without proper lighting
for sure such a thing will likely never happen (beautify = $$), but i can dream. anyhoo i think i'll end my lousy thoughts here. so cheerio and bye for now :)
