hi hi! it's november now
i thought i'd blog something before november ends ^u^ *guilty smile*, but about what is the question. nothing totally exciting & eventful has happened... just yet... when i get to watch Goblet of Fire, why then! sometime eventful will have occurred. and in my bloggie tradition, i'll slap together a crappy moive review!
welcome to the second act: alas, getting to see the film has been and continues to be quite the challenge. for it was opening day one freaky friday past (<-traffic was an unprecedentedly unbelievable) that my family and i had attempted a late night viewing. twas after visiting 2 theatres with all sold out shows that we learn with heavy hearts that it was not meant to be. we then trudged to our car parked oh so far away (for it was the only spaces left vacant that busy eve) and unmerrily (<- that's not a real word online dictionary? you don't say?) trekked home.
ha ha! okay i wasn't /that/ bummed, but i choose to be dramatic as it amuses me :P
oh! i wasn't exaggerating the traffic part, that truly was a bit twilight zone~ish. my subway car inched its way slowly north: station, wait 5 minutes, go to next station, @ next station, wait 5 minutes, and so on. when that part of the commute was over, i go to board the bus; where i happen upon a huge crowd of people waiting outside on the platform and another huge crowd in front of the doors to the platform. so i sneakly went out other (unblocked) doors and joined the waiting crowd outside. >w< sorry indoor folks but i wanna go home. bus comes; i just manage to be one of the last 3 boarders; and then came the bus ride. the violation of personal space was... not fun, and like the subway, the bus inched along; passing unfortunate people @ bus stops along the route. let's say 40 minutes later, victory! i get a seat. more minutes of incremental movement passes until the bus driver says "get ready folks" followed by a bang & the bus lurching upwards; now half the bus is driving along a curb. out the window, 2 dented cars in a minor accident.
the ride was certainly scenic, a land of roads stuffed with cars. yep so that was coming home last friday. it was odd... kinda like this blog entry :D
i'll end with 2 things that i have noticed of late:
(1)people wearing argyle: it's the design on sweaters of old academics and now i seem to see it on tv a lot.
and (2) the word "legacy": i've been hearing it in the conversations around me for months. is it a strange recent thing or was i oblivious to it all?
okay goodbye!
