comp status: buggy
well my computer is messed up @ the moment... it's kinda making me ill how things go crazy as often as they do. it feels like my hard drive data is like a snowman:
one makes a snowman outside during winter, just as i accumulate a collection of songs, video and pictures
if proud of the snowman creation, one wants to keep it intact; similarily i want to keep my comp stuff
eventually the weather will heat up and melt the snowman, and nothing can stop the change of seasons; much like how eventually some comp problem will happen and i cannot help the way things are, cause stuff will stop working and my saved files will be inaccessible.
although... there was something i could of done, and that was make a backup for it. however being as lazy as i am, i didn't want to do it. and each time when comp goes wrong, i regret not doing it, but when comp is fixed with files safe... i don't learn my lesson and make no backups. hmmm... i wonder if i'm being punished somehow. ?_?
something non comp related
i noticed that i have neglected doing anything artistic for quite sometime, it's such a pity. not that i could draw really well @ any point of my life, but the fact that i've become even worse. what's brought on this sudden observation?:
noticing that i haven't changed layouts for several months (and based on the work left for the new one -- which i haven't yet lost-- it'll be quite awhile more)
went to a site or two where people display their fan artwork, makes me wish i could do the same
then comes the age old question: is it because i don't have the time or because i don't know how to time manage?
knowing me, it's probably the later. ^u^
must go... (note to self: will work on entry parts @ some undecided time) bye!!

compy troubles
before returning to my scheduled entries Part2&3, i thought i'd take time to complain bout the difficulties i had yesterday w/ my computer. i'm not sure why but it always happens when i do the simplest of things, nothing complex and nothing huge. to answer your question about how i managed to crash XP to the point where cltr-alt-del did nothing and the mouse cursor was frozen, i must simply say that i clicked on a link. maybe if the link opened a dubious webpage i could imagine why there was a problem, but it wasn't... i've clicked it before w/ no problems. it kinda reminds me of how i crashed linux on two separate occasions by copying and pasting text. maybe my XP crashed cause earlier i was running a program intended for windows 95/98? i really don't know.
in any case, i just simply restarted my comp like i've always done with ME. afterwards, it seemed to work okay, except it was slower than usually to startup. this foreshadowed "computer problem of the day" #2, the inability to detect drives D & C:
here i was using the computer, when i happened to feel like listening to a certain song. unsure of where it was, i did a little search
while that was happening, my brother comes and critizes me for making a desktop shortcut to a folder that was easily accessible
in retaliation i told him to go access the folder and see how quick it was
as i went to end my search, it didn't respond to the stop button (weird), so we closed the search window
then my brother went to show me the extent of my laziness, except that he couldn't since the computer didn't detect the D drive
comp was then restarted but now it couldn't detect the C drive
comp restarted again, and after a painfully long startup.... still no D drive
and that's the story so far V_V;;
hopefully, the problem's not too serious *crosses fingers* and things will be okay soon.
note:just remembered, for part 3 i want to mention a new type of drink i had. till then!

yesh finally i have some guilt free time to do some blogging. hmm... there's been some thoughts that i wanted to write down, but i don't think i can remember them all. so far, here's some of what i can recall:
Part One: Harry Potter Trailer
i wonder if you've seen it yet? in any case, here are some of my thoughts so far:
unless the late Richard Harris managed to finish some scenes in the 3rd film, it appears that Dumbledore will look no different than before (yippe!)
knowing of draco malfoy's change in hairstyles, i was still surprised by the new look (it's kinda strange, and he reminds of someone... but i can't think of who >_<;;) ha ha!! actually my reaction wasn't quite as subdued as i make it sound. i watched the thing a couple of times, each time ranting on how weird it looks while driving myself crazy racking my brain for who i was reminded of
how sad, i now officially know that the film isn't coming out this winter but in summer. and that's just wrong!! harry-potter-theatre-going was my new christmas/winter tradition!! looking @ the trailer, one can see how apropos (another word that i use in speech but never knew how to spell before now) it is for that time of year, just look @ the pumpkins, choir music and snow... that's not summerful (hee hee!! don't bother looking for this word in a dictionary, as i made it up... i like doing that ^u^), not summerful @ all!! still, i guess it's better than the "chopping the film up into two parts" idea that was being toyed with. although judging by book thickness, i feel they'll have to do this eventually... having not read the later books i can't imagine how they'd do otherwise.
lastly, there's something about this part of the trailer that i ABSOLUTELY LOVE!!! i guess you'd wonder what's so great bout it after looking @ this lil screenshot. but i must say that on my tv and in motion, it was fantastic!! i don't know why so exactly, it's kinda like the draco hairstyle thing. somehow it's associated in my mind with something else... something amazing &... fantastic! *can't remember what* >~<... oh well i really love it though.

note: yup! i feel kinda hyper & kiddie right now, as for my future blog parts... Part Two: small snl honey skit comment & agatha christie movies... Part Three(?): getting use to new screen res & the Link ~you're so cool~ insight

some film chat
see i know your taste in films kinda well. as soon as i saw the ad i thought chick-flick and that i'd be something you'd want to watch. ^u^ but of course since it has colin firth, hugh grant, and mr.bean in it, plus it's done by the same makers of nothing hill and bridget jones' diary... it was kinda obviously a film for ya. personally, i'd say that liam neeson and alan rickman are the ones to watch for, ya know, liam nesson for his work in star wars and alan rickman for his role as snape (though he looks better with black hair).
huh, doki doki over colin firth? o_O;; why? he's not especially good looking... to me. and let's not forget that he's much too old *wags finger*. but if u do watch it in theatres, can i come? that way if it sucks i can criticize you after watching it, doesn't that sound like fun? >u< *evil laugh* i so love to criticize. but of course it could be good too.
listening to music
i have to say that my not listening to much music is kinda sad. recently i went through some of my old mp3s and i was surprised @ the amount, i thought i had more than that. ^u^;; also some of the songs sound different from how i remembered them. in short, i feel a need to hear new songs but the problem is what songs to listen to?
soooo.... have any suggestions?
