changed my font size, makes me sad cause it's too small. but i had to in case someone was viewing this page with they're browser set on medium text-size; cause if they did it would look really, really bad.

also...
watched the new Harry Potter film, i liked it but the pacing moves a little too quickly for me (not that i couldn't keep up w/ the film, mind you), which is why i like the first one better.
all the same, it was a fun viewing and the time went by quickly. i must confess that they were a few times where i was talken by surprise but i wasn't scared, it isn't a disturbing-creepy film. the character of lucious(sp?) malfoy i find quite interesting, i think it's his whole look that gets me, the long white hair and black clothes. (edit: i was re-reading this and just to make sure no one gets the wrong idea i state that i'm not attracted to the guy... he is very old, wait that sounds insulting so make that he is too old ^ - ^) the way he talks sounds pretty neat and he's quite amusing in the way he reacts to things... funny even.

i've noticed that i'm a pretty vocal viewer compared to the rest of the audience. here i am laughing(in a hehehe way) and everyone else is dead quiet... am i too easily amused?? i think that might be the case, that or i've got unusual sense of humour; like when i was watching Lilo & Stitch(sp?) and people were laughing while i didn't... but when i do find something funny i'm the only one.

in conclusion: i'm a movie watching freak, i mean there were /children/ watching harry potter and yet they seemed all so mature... and i'm dismayed that they didn't scream when i let out a little ack once ///_^ (pretty embarrassing actually)

Lawful Drug makes me giddy!!
actually not all the time... just right now. So happy that i have the 2nd book, i think i like it more than the first... more funny. i'm glad that the series isn't this weird-twisted-tragic story that i initially thought it was b/c of the colour pics. not that there isn't any weird-mysterious-sad stuff there... it's been hinted at, but right now it's mild. the book includes black&white versions of the asuka pics, and i came across one that i've never seen in colour (the kind that makes you go O_O;;). basically it's the shirts half way off, doggie collar pulling, necktie biting thing. *laughs* kinda wish that X got /more/ of that. ^_^;;

about the dark haired guy, Rikuou (the one w/o sunglasses, in case you r confused) is looking better as time goes on... especially now that he's wearing reading glasses!! (one could call him a fuuma copy-cat) in a way these two are much alike.

Both are:
(note:i'm thinking more of GoodFuuma when doing this) yep, so they're alike... but in comparison fuuma is a sweeter person (again GoodFuuma here) while Rikuou seems more rude&bitter...kind of a jerk (of course only the poor lighthaired guy, Kazahaya, sees that)

oppsies!!
ha ha ha!! i suppose i should go back and edit my previous post on Weiss Kreuz: Gluhen. While watching the 2 eps i thought the boy @ school was Omi and that he introduced himself as Izumi Sena cause it was a fake name for his undercover mission. But they're actually different people, did you know that?? Boy do i feel dense, here i was watching the thing for about an hour and i didn't realize. and if i didn't go to this page i'd still be clueless. Ha ha!! i guess i was really onto something when i said that the change in chara. design makes me feel like they're not the same person... cause in that case they weren't.

And another thing i discovered going to this site is that they're all still the same age. *cries & complains* here i am aging by the second and yet they remain forever young!! *sobs* now i'm older than Ken and the same age as Aya. did you see Aya... all mature looking and working as a teacher. i'm not that old, right??!! O_o;;;

yeah! it's good to see that u have you're blog all set up!! the colours you've used goes very nicely w/ my hotbar, and it looks cozy.

but do the words on the top-right mean anything??
or were you just playing??

critic of fic
several blogs have mentioned this one x fic on fanfiction.net where the main character is a OC girl and there's potential romance b/t kamui & her. having skimmed thru the story i can understand why people don't like it, the characters are quite OOC(some worse than others) and the spelling/grammer is very bad.
but i feel sorry for the writer when they criticize her english. it seems that english isn't her 1st language so i think people shouldn't be so harsh, i know that if i wrote a story in a different language it'd be extremely difficult to read.
A lot don't like the fact that there's an OC character as the main love interest, i don't like such OC types either but i'll give her points for not making the OC person herself.
Also mentioned in the reviews is how kamui wouldn't fall for her b/c kamui has a huge crush on subaru. thus leading me into the following...

i know that kamui gets along w/ subaru & cares about him, but i don't think kamui has a crush on him. it's annoying seeing so many sites where they state that as fact, i don't think it is.
(>o< i know i'm biased but still !!) *pouts like a baby*
even if it's true, why must they write fics where kamui daydreams about subaru and blushes whenever he's around? it makes kamui seem like a lil' school girl who writes "kamui sumeragi" in the corner of his notebooks.
i also wonder if a lot of people think there's strong SxK in the manga b/c of the number of SxK fics?

if only i was a SxK fan, then i would have so many fics to read instead of having so many fics to avoid so that i remain sane.

it has been awhile since i've seen it (last sunday actually) but watching Ebert's & Ropert's review of the new Harry Potter film has got me very excited. I really want to see it, but i'll wait until it's a week or so out before i go, that way all the true Harry Potter fans (the ones who have read all 4 books and are eagerly awaiting the 5th) will have already gone and thus getting tickets will be much easier.
Although it is tempting to go during the opening week and say loudly in the theatre "Oh good, i can't wait to see this Parry Hotter film that everyone is talking about". I can see the nasty looks now, especially from the little bratty children.

Speaking of young Hotter (forgive my humour), i hear that the actor is quite popular with the girls. I suppose i would like him too if i were nice&young, cause he's such a goody-goody british boy! It was fun to see "Live with Regis and Kelly" where Regis was asking if there was anything between him and the girl who plays Hermione (a name i don't know how to pronounce). Yes it was lots of embarrassed laughter and the "we're just friends" response to comments like "bet you'd like to get your robe around her". >u<

What i love best about the film is how it makes the audience realize that its world is slowly falling apart due to actions set into motion before Harry's arrival, and he's the one to save it from its impending destruction. Knowing that this savior and "the one" stuff isn't anything new, i think that in a colourful universe full of magic and splendor that it's dark secrets will be unveiled in a most entertaining & captivating manner. That is what i hope for @ least. This is also one of the few films in which i can't wait to see how scary it is.

the kefka thread:
having just finished reading a lengthy 9 page thread (and possibly more pages to come) on the greatness/poorness that is the ff6 villian, i am again struck with the confusion that ensues when listening to other's opinions.

when i read these things i just think of what kind of response i would give if i had:
A) the guts to post my opinion... & B) the energy to defend/prove my opinion from people's posts that would attack/disagree with it.
i also read to see what other people might think of the matter (especially to see if someone thinks like me and has the guts to say it)

for this post it was very difficult to find an opinion that was the same as my own, i either agreed: a) not at all or b)for the most part. the issues brought up i find to be very interesting so i thought i would express my opinions on my blog (aka take the cowardly approach).

i could go through the trouble of explaining what issues people brought up and their opinions but i'm tooooo lazy to do such a thing.
all i'll say is the following:

a) it is ok to say that he /acts/ like a person who suffers from "severe antisocial personality disorder" but not to say he does, unless confirmed by the creator.
however, it is ok to say that he is a boring character even though the creator intended him to be exciting. in a way these two statements seem to contradict one another as one states it is decided by the creater and the next states that it is up to the audience.
but for me they don't really contadict b/c saying a character is boring is a matter of opinion, despite what the creator meant for the character to be like, this describes the character as the person sees it.
saying that a person suffers from a disorder is different b/c the disorder is a result of an event. thus it states that [blank] event (something like a tragic loss) happened in that character's life, but unless you've seen this event in the game (or another character has mention it happening) you can't say that.
an exception would be if it's something like bi-polar disorder, where the cause of the disorder is not through a specific event but just the imbalance of chemicals in the brain.

b) one could argue that just because said event isn't seen or alluded to, doesn't mean it didn't happen. however, one should make judgements on what's seen of the character and not on the possible goings on of what is not shown (like the person's childhood). for example, if all you have seen the character do is laugh and smile, you would think that the character is a happy person.
sure, it's okay to speculate that the happy appearance is only a disguise used by a sad person, but you can't say the person is sad only b/c of such a possibility.
although i should say that it's okay to like a character b/c of such possibilites (but not solely of course).

c) it is difficult whether to define if a character is deep/multi-dimensional or shallow/one-dimensional. someone posted criteria on what gives a character depth, but i'm not sure you can set criteria on such things.
the person mentioned that having a backstory gives person depth, but that's not always true. you could read a story all about how they grew up and still think nothing of them.
i suppose the true indication of depth would be if the person has many interesting layers to their personality, which often comes from their backstory.
also a character can have numerous issues, but if they are too subtle, i would be inclined to overlook them and look to what is most prominent.

Relating this all to Kefka, i consider him to be one-dimensional despite the fact that he has a lot more dialogue than "Welcome to our castle." and various emotions.
This is b/c his emotions are analogous (hate, anger, jealous, greed are quite similiar to me) and the reason he acts the way he does is only b/c he went insane after an experiment gone wrong.
I don't believe he suffers from a complex disorder, even if his behaviour closely resembles this, b/c i don't /think/ the creators intentionally made him a victim of the disorder.

But despite his simplistic character, he is still very entertaining, fits well into the story, and i see him very much as a spoiled child who knows what he wants and doesn't care what needs to be done to get it.

Weiss Kreuz: Gluhen
although i've only seen the first 2 episodes, the show seems to be pretty good and starts off better than the original did (for me).
i like the new character designs, but i can't say that i like them more than the originals. in fact, it feels like they aren't even the same people.
hmm... i feel slightly inspired to do as they've done and change my entire appearance, almost seems like fun.
despite their physical changes, i wonder if they're personalities will stay the same? i'm not that familiar with the original so i can only guess that there's no change in omi's personality, but i get the impression that aya is happier than he was before... even more friendly??
but i must repeat that i don't really know how aya was in the original or have i seen enough of the new show. however, i do know that he and the others are not gay, no matter what people may write (or wish! ^_^)

to catherine: i think you told me that you haven't seen the second ep yet, which would explain why you didn't warn me of the nudity (hee hee hee)
note: /technically/ there is no nudity, but it was "this" close. ^o^
lucky for me my brother didn't see that part, he might use it against me!

and in a related note, is it just me or do most guys in weiss kreuz like to sleep that way?

i have been working on it off&on for quite awhile, and it has be very annoying. i envy those who can make very lovely layouts and not to mention quickly as well. to be honest, most of my time is spent looking @ it and thinking how it doesn't look right. yet i have no clue how to fix it.

i have also noticed that my blog entries are worded strangely. how that sucks X_X

no clue who this person is, but anyhow it could be worse. at least he has pink hair ... and i've wanted pink hair (not the whole head though, just strips) oh well, he kinda sounds like a fun character, although unlike him i think i could take a hint if the person i like thinks i'm an idiot.

You've been overdosed so many times with chocolate and pocky, that hyperactiveness has become second nature to you. You usually act without thinking, and you trust people too easily, but everything always has a way of working out for you in the end. You also adore blonde nicotine-enhanced writers who think you've got zero talent - but who doesn't?

yippie i finished final fantasy 6!!! it's funny how the ending of the first ff i've ever played, i think before ff7 was released on the playstation, wasn't seen by me until now. i even saw how ff10 ended before this one. another bonus is that i've never beaten an ff game all by myself before, also i beat it before my brother too! i'm happy with the ending, it brings a feeling of closure to the story, something lacking in ff7's and ff10's ending (which is probably why square is making sequels for them).

funny how i'm using the words "before" and "ending" a lot, maybe i should work to expand my vocabulary.
speaking of square games, i've decided that i'll probably won't finish my kingdom hearts record. i've already seen the end and i don't find it that fun to play. so strange, so many people just love the game.

(boo hoo!!) tricked again into reading another Kamui loves Subaru fic!! These people should warn me of these things, i don't need to feel sick with... rage (is that the proper word?) when i read such works. I could cry evertime i read a fic that has Kamui thinking: "I've lost everyone i care about, first Kotori, then Fuuma and now you Subaru!!". *choke choke* and *gag* is my reaction. sadly i believe this is a complaint i may never get out of my system no matter how many times i blog about it.

and as a side note: i hope that i archived my past entries properly

update: yeah got my archives up and running, and as an extra bonus i finally figured out what the error was in my coding, seems that it had to do with the archive code i originally had.

alias: ~ karin kokubu ~
A name i borrowed from an old cute cartoon called Tonde Boorin!!
Karin is the main character of the story, and if you don't know much about the show, she's the one who turns into a pig superhero! (cape, magic powers and all) She flies around as a pig doing good deeds so that she can collect enough magic pearls to transform into a superhero of human appearance. All while attempting to keep her identity a secret from friends and family (like her nosy news photographer father).

For those who know the show, sorry that my summary doesn't
give the show proper justice.

title: Haunted October ( version 1.1 )
videogame: Kingdom Hearts
comments:  As you might already see, this layout has a halloween theme inspired by the artwork created for Kingdom Hearts. I wasn't really planning to do a halloween thing, but i like the artwork, i love the idea of halloween (free candy!), and it's october... so why not. I omitted the cover character and etc. info, cause even though i could put the name of the witch girl from fruitbaskets, she really was just an afterthought. Thus, this layout is to highlight the Kingdom Hearts:Nightmare Before Christmas stuff.
