tis a pity
couldn't leave the house on friday since i injured my right ankle, much like how i hurt my left way back in january. so now both ankles are less than 100%
home~y
so while i was @ home, i saw some design shows. one of them featured famous/expensive homes, and how unfortunate that many of these places have elements that i'd love to have in a future home. in other words, what i want comes with a something-million dollar price tag. which is not surprising if i want something mansion-esque, but even a nice town house in london (which i knew was quite expensive) is just as pricey. ah well, one can still dream

waiting and wondering
been checking for updates on a particular site that's been terribly quiet... and some blogs are like that to. it's actually pretty eerie.. and worrisome
see i included a bunny that's from
clamp's website, but as i told
kuu i can't say for certain what these emoticons express. it never occurred to me before that onomatopoeias are quite a challenge to understand when you're new to a language, & not all dictionaries carry their meanings. i do understand some, but who goes "fufufu" when laughing evilly? this reminds me when my little brother asked about the "zzzz" used to indicate sleeping. hmmm, wonder if people actually do that?
[update]: i played grow game.

making fic list
been making a list of some fics that i like and most importantly have been able to find (many a fic i can't remember where they are or what they're called ;;>_<;; *boo hoo*). looking over my list so far has made me realize that i like only a few fics in its entirety, beginning to end. so several times i have to debate over whether i should include a certain fic or not. i find that many stories that i remember and include or not without their flaws, but maybe its that one line or just that image that came to mind which makes the story memorable or likeable.
also i think about what this list says about me and my taste in stories. hmmm.... well unfortunately it speaks of how i read stories mainly for only one series. me thinks
you know what the series is ^u^ ha ha!! even though i like x, i don't read x fics... they are.. ugh, not my cup of tea; anyhoo that's another topic.
this list also indicates that i like AU stuff & many fic that are incomplete. though i complain about how i hate it when fics are left undone, it begs the question if it's a "quit while you're ahead" kinda thing. hope that doesn't apply to some in progress fics i added to the list, but when you don't read something all at once you develop expectations. in general meeting one's expectations or even surpassing them is quite a challenge, i've been disappointed before. maybe i would have a larger list if many fics i read weren't finished, who knows. may talk more bout this boring subject later ~u~

et tu, clamp? x_X(ala Julius Caesar)
i've just suffered another stab with the knife by good old clamp, they've removed the [X topic] from their [Headline News] section. which makes sense, since they haven't been making any update worthy progress with it... but it's a sign that they won't be changing that anytime soon.
hmmm... should i also worry bout the fact that keiichi segawa hasn't posted a column article involving baseball lately?
also, why must they treat X like it doesn't exist, would it kill them to draw something either than mokona and its tsubasa/cardcaptors/xxxholic budies? in fact, the only time i've seen them recently mention X was to say that they will still sell card captor comic books the same size as the x ones. V_V
Ha ha ha!!!! the difference a few minutes makes. seems like yuzuriha & kusanagi have made cameos in tsubasa... but like a spoil brat i'm not satisfied. gimme kamui and fuuma!! ^o^

today's general topic: movies
Oscars!!
i watched the awards show too, and makes me wish i was an actress, director or something. i don't even have to win, in fact i bet i'd have more fun just being nominated for something that i don't have a chance in winning. that way i can relax & enjoy the event, get to wear expensive & fancy dresses for free, and dine on excellent food. and i agree with ya that the animated film song was the most fun to listen to.
hey! did kuu even watch LotR:The Return of the King? i'm glad it won so much awards. cause unlike other films, which are good, still they're probably not as much fun to watch (though @ the very end, film was dragging on about boring things).
as for lost in translation, my family rented it but i only watched some of the beginning. the way my brother talked bout it made it seem like a film not quite for me. do u think it'd like it?
"the passion" stuff
twas gonna blog bout this after reading your entry, but i got lazy. anyways, i thought i'd blog bout it now. so... basically a lot of the hype one hears about gibson's film stems from the controversy over how it portrayed Jews. some found that the film wrongly portrayed Jewish people as cruel murders, and feared that some viewers would blame Jews for the death of Christ. also i hear there are church groups that are supporting film attendance as a way to promote religion, plus it's a film of interest to them. and there's a lot of talk about how violent the film is. so as you can imagine a lot is being said = a big buzz around it.
as for the 20% of hollywood media comment, i'm thinking it's refering to why this controversy/hype started. if i had a problem with a film, no one would know or care = non news worthy. when an influential group with ties to the media has an opinion, they can vocalize these views to the public. thus making it news, thus presenting a topic to the public and causing people to form opinions.
