some net slow-down
hmmm... i've been getting the feeling that people on the net haven't been active too much lately... is it because it's still summer? or is it just the sites i frequent? afterall as a fan of series that are either long done or on extended hiatus there can't be much new stuff to entertain my time with. but then it seems like no one's blogging as much as usual, even me and
you too. oh and i read you're irc message, so does that mean i'm not the only one who dislikes irc? :3
time for another quiz:

Maki - "Truly Rare"
What would your Japanese name be? (female)
brought to you by Quizilla
ha ha!! i'm suspicious that it's the nice way to say i'm strange. ^o^ also i have to say that the name maki makes me hungry for some futomaki. ^u^

wanting merchandise
one of my many sudden, impulsive wants is a Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker shirt that has a big picture of Link on the front. there's most likely such a shirt for purchase, but knowing me i won't be getting it. u_u
since i'm the kind of person that wants easily yet buys rarely. it's getting harder to part with my money without guilt as time goes ya know?
videogame playing block
by playing block i mean something like writers block, as in
i have a hard time finishing/continuing videogames. currently the games i have yet to complete, or more appropiately, temporarily abandoned are: final fantasy V, VII, VIII, IX, and X, chrono cross, grandia 1, dewprism, kingdom hearts, zone of the enders on the gba and a few others. it's so frustrating though leaving things incomplete. there are some that i feel no great remorse for abandoning .. such as kingdom hearts since i've seen the ending and i don't find it that fun to play. dewprism is just tedious in terms of gameplay and final fantasy V is too. i know FFV is a favourite among the japanese for it's job system, but for me it's such a bother. i don't play rpgs for the fighting system, i'm in it for the story, towns and eye candy (ha ha!! don't think harshly of me oldschoolers!! ^o^). also one of my greatest problems with games like FFV are the super hard monsters that come up randomly in dungeons. >_< i'm having a similiar problem right now with FFII where i can't complete a dungeon in one shot. so i won't be surprised if that title gets added to the above list. final fantasy IX & X are kinda abandoned due to me being near the end... which i've already seen. final fantasy VII i've stopped cause i know i'm nearing aeris' death. grandia 1... i'm most sad about that one, i'm just not in the right mind set i guess. and as for chrono cross, i've lost momentum in that cause i'm not sure what i'm to do next.
ha ha!! i wonder if
you'll read this videogame talk at all? i know this stuff is hardly interesting but i just feel like writing my little gaming complaints down here for some reason. ^u^;;

oh! a blackout
i'll try not to be boring and write too much about it, except that it can be difficult to occupy oneself at home with no electricity; meaning no tv, no computer, no videogames and so on. but as i said to
you earlier today, it wasn't all bad since i could go outside and look @ the stars. it's kinda a rare opportunity to see the nightsky @ home without the effects of light pollution caused by nearby cities and towns on both sides of the border (actually seeing a light-pollution-free night is getting to be scarce all over the world due to modernization). usually i can see only the brightest of the stars, but yesterday the skyward view had a good deal more, also i think i got to see what looked like the milky way (though i'm not sure). it reminds me of this one trip to ireland years ago when my family and me where driving at night in the country, basically lots of stars.
one could say that for me the blackout was a lucky thing, since it happened during a clear sky & pleasantly warm evening when mars is closer than usual to the earth (resulting in a very red star) and when the moon was practically full. speaking of the moon, again due to light pollution, the effect of the moon's light on the land below is not as striking. so during the blackout, i was surprised about how much brightness the moon provides... it was like a sun for night time.
side note:added new banner thingie and about the dnangel wallpapers
u mentioned, i like the bluer one more... though i like satoshi & krad more than daisuke & dark (don't let layout fool ya ^u~) it gives me the idea that the two are sleeping in enchanted ice. ^u^

new month, no new layout (still slowly working on it), but i'm happy to see that my archiving worked properly this time. quite a relief actually, since i just hate it when things don't work like they're suppose to... then again i would imagine everybody feels the same, so it goes without saying.
CLAMP updates
just visited the newly updated CLAMP website, and my suspicion is that the X hiatus will be continuing on for another month at least. how annoying for me. >-<
i'm not the most patient person and so one can imagine how this irritates me so. i could be wrong, but the fact that the [release calendar] makes no mention of next month's asuka and that the [x topics] works section (found in [headline news]) is gone doesn't seem to be a good sign. the missing works section is especially troubling cause it looks to me that this break is far from over.
This whole hiatus buisness is making me slightly resentful towards their new series, actually maybe just tsubasa since xxxholic doesn't affect lawful drug releases. that's kinda saddening since tsubasa is a fun series, i don't want to think bitterly of it.
luckly not all of the updates are making me grumpy, there's one in particular that makes me giddy!! i want that manga!!! i don't have the other ones and only vaguely know the story but the cover is soo cute. should i get it or not? ... i can't decide. which reminds me that come september i need to get the 3rd lawful drug volume.
note: and the "yue&kero : it's too hot" [album] pic is truly funny... while the "mokonas eating watermelon" [album] pic is really nice.
