MONDAY, JULY 26th, 2004; NAYSHVEEHLE, TN -- Just finished up NAMM Summer Session here in Music City... much smaller than the winter sessions in Anaheim that I've been going to for the past few years, but much more laid back. It was a good time, and I got to play for some folks the other night at the French Quarter Cafe. Highlights for me were sharing the stage with Kara Langer, officially the most promising "chick singer with a piano" I've heard in eons, and the last minute addition to the bill of the infamous Rodney Branigan, who I was giddy to point out to some of the fine folks that came to see me play.

Also, my friends The Animators were in town for my first day here, and I caught a bit of their show; they caught a bit of mine, and then after the show, we met up at a local studio with some musicians I'd just met and recorded a song they'd written just a day or two earlier; that was great fun... people need to make records that way more often... you know; with everyone playing at the SAME TIME.

Tonight is my last night here in Tennessee... I'll be performing at 12th and Porter, a club I've been anxious to check out for awhile now, and I'm looking forward to it... then on to Louisville, and by the end of the week, a triumphant double-bill in Denver with Sol'Jibe... the monster truck madness continues...
