I'm a positive
Monday, April 1, 2002 03:08 p.m.

Sorry I've neglected this wittle page for so long - its just been insane at my place for a while. Ask the IRC folk - I went days with out even checking in.

Someone make April Fool's Day end. Please!

So - the show went really really well. A giant thank you to all that came!!! I love you all. I got a lot of compliments on my performance. Most amusingly - comments that Aaron and I were the most realistic couple. I'll be snickering in the corner now.

So then I had my parents, who I love dearly, but I have a one bedroom apt. So its already a tight fit with Gareth, adding them was just . . . Plus they went and saw the shows I really wanted to see without me. I never win. OTOH, I did get two weeks worth of comics . . .

The reason why I missed out on so many shows (and we're talking averaging one a day, insane parents) is that I'm stage managing the next show at school, a comedy called Play On! - by Rick Abbot. Its hysterical, and the cast is great, and I'm on a total power trip, especially since thanks to a bizzare loophole - I got keys to the office. And Laurie - being incredibly cool - is letting me share her locker in said office. Go me!

Now if only this day would end, so I could get through tommorow . . .

Two shows down, three to go. If Sunday is really sold out, I'm screwed. So much I'm behind on. Gotta stop dragging my feet. My apt. is an even bigger mess now and my parents come tommorow.

I think I'm doing okay. I hope. Heh.

It is nice to be right for once.

Cracking walnuts
Friday, March 8, 2002 01:04 p.m.

Boy, do I know how to make life insane. Gotta say, I'm in a pretty good mood today. Finding out how close I was to getting some roles really made my day. Sure, I would have liked to have been cast, but for once, I really don't mind. I like the people who got them. And, I was wanted as Stage Manager. By the PSM and the director. Go me! Plus everytime someone tells me what a crime it was I didn't get this one role last year . . . ahhhhhh.

Its also really nice knowing that people who matter like you. Makes it easier to deal with the people who don't. (Matter OR like you.)

I could hear praises about my voice all day . . . but the walnuts line was certainly unique as complements go. Course, it wasn't about my voice. Heh heh.

So Seema, being insane, has named clothing after some of us. These and this. Course, the tank is spelled wrong. But I'm amused.

Rumblings

Life is full of ups and downs. You get disapointed by someone, but you recover. Then things get weird. Like a friend handing you a picture taken a few months ago. Its you and some others and as you look at it you think "this will never happen again." And not just because the moment is gone. But because something happened to kill a friendship. And its incredibly sad.

The night got weirder from there.

Then this morning, wake up, rush, take stupid cab, blow 20 bucks and then sit around for an hour doing nothing. -_- Then walk through the worst rehearsal yet.

But remember those ups and downs? Called Angela - managed to hook up with her, and Brian and Micheal as they left the museum. Yay! That was most cool.

Its good to have friends. Even if you can't see them all the time.

The bottom line:

Being an obsessive collector is hazardous to any budget. Being an obsessive collector of many things will not end well. Being an obsessive collector who refuses to sell anything she isn't collecting anymore - well, figure it out.
