Lost Tuesday, February 25, 2003 11:17 a.m. I swear my short term memory is getting fried or something. The numbers of times I've gone to do something - only to totally blank on what when I get there is creeping up and up and up. I can't think of a time I've sat at the computer in the last few weeks and actually remembered what I was planning to do. And my propensity for injury has not been abated. Already I've taken a nice tumble on ice, slipped and fell in the middle of rehearsal (bounced right up mind you) and stepped off a turn wrong, slightly injuring my foot. At least I've made some progress on things despite the being snowed in a Katsu and the endless computer woes. Really do need to turn in this project today. I tried checking my aol mail at work yesterday . . . That Did Not Work. I'm officially really scared of it now. I mean - it didn't load! For the love of . . . It seems because I get passed over, I don't have the right to comment on those that weren't. Believe it or not, its not just the bitterness talking. My arguments have their backing. This keeps happening over and over again. If people actually paid attention - they'd see this is not how I react everytime I get passed over. There have been plenty of times I've been gracious, cause the person who got the job/role/position was qualified. Hey, maybe I could have done better, maybe not, but they did fine, made me proud. But there are currently two cases in my life where this is not happening, and I'm sick of getting "pooh-pood" on the grounds that I'm just bitter. Pity we have a broken (as in the case is MAJOR cracked) VHS with two eps on it, I only get one rehearsal night off next week, and sweeps are starting. Wah. Plus I'm about to lose my weekends. I'm a generally unhappy, busy camper, who seethes murderous rage, which seems to go unnoticed by the people I seeth at. I'm doing something for reasons I don't fully understand as it keeps making me miserable. I'm suffering from a serious lack of self worth. OTOH, I have a shiny new TV, a shiny new DVD-ROM/CD-burner (thank you Rei), both of which are lovely, Gareth has a Gamecube, I have a PS2 (thank you dlw), I have three jobs, but hey, that means I pay the rent on time at last and I still pass for 20.
