Getting a job sucks right now, we can't find someone to hold a job here for over a week. Lovely. Meanwhile I wait for the package that never comes.

Laundry was done last night - that was a feat. Don't do laundry at 9 pm on Tuesday. 10 PM yes, 9 PM no. Most insane part : these two women who were using maybe 7 machines. That in itself isn't weird - I've had to do it sometimes. It was the fact they kept going around and adding more detergent and stuff. It was creepy!

Long day it seems - course, I overslept, then I decided my hair was too greasy so it had to be washed, then it had to be dried and that process always takes forever don't it? Meaning I didn't make it to the Metro meeting till 4:30. Heh. Disa didn't make it till it was over - good ol' Disa, I can count on her to be later than me! (I kid because I love, no really!)

Being late did have a funny advantage. I was still at home when Sevakis wandered into the channel with the go ahead to announce that CPM had Yami no Matsuei, a highly nifty series I'd really been hoping would be brought over. That meant I had a go ahead to announce that at the meeting, yay! Everyone in Yami has these pretty eyes, like gemstones. And damnit, its more than pretty guys, really. I'd mention Gareth likes it - but I swear half the people who read this insist Gareth isn't real.

He is all too real.

After leaving the crew - they were off to see Harry Potter - which I did like, but can't really justify seeing it twice in the theater, I wandered into a few stores. Circuit City is absolute hell for DVD shopping. The racks are hard to browse, half the stuff isn't where its supposed to be, their anime selection is tiny and weird and its sorta thrown in willy-nilly with the other stuff. The only thing that makes it even remotely worthwhile is that stuff tends to be discounted. Course, half the time its been Manga Ent. titles I don't care about but today I lucked out. Miyu TV 1 for $17.99. Its SRP is $29.99. Yeah, I bought that puppy.

The quest for a (possible) cell phone goes slowly. I've discovered that every single provider - if you go by these reviews - is lousy, has lousy rates, lousy coverage, and lousier customer service. -_-; This is not making it any easier!

Finally, I broke down and re-watched about a third of "Wrecked" again. And amazingly, most of the scenes that made me livid on Tuesday I was able to view calmly. Hmm, Spike and Buffy are both morons in that first scene. Anyone who says Spike doesn't care for Dawn isn't watching the same show as me. The matter-of-fact "I love you. You know it." is one of the most wonderous lines I've heard uttered. And the garlic, silly silly silly.

What? You expected me to go that many entries without a BtVS mini-rant??? People people . . .

THERE SHOULD NOT BE SMOKE!
Friday, November 30, 2001 05:18 p.m.

Just a perfect day. Trying to do work, handed half a job, which it turns out has to be done in under two hours and suddenly I notice a smell. And see smoke coming from my monitor. Smoke. Can we say, not fun? Had to swap out for a smaller crappier monitor.

Can this day end please????

Pie is good
Friday, November 30, 2001 03:52 a.m.

Pie makes me happy. Catching up on an ML makes me happy. Work does not make me happy. Noticing I'm due at work in 8 hours does not make me happy.

Speaking of work, weird trip down memory lane as I FF'd to a story on a water treatment plant *yawn* Turns out we have the infamous "OH NO! Toys R' Us is selling comics with NUDITY" story in our archives. This was in refrence to the Dragonball manga. Thanks to it for the next year or two (forgive me, its way late and I'm fuzzy on dates) Viz censored it, before caving in this year and undoing it.

Someone stop me from getting a cell phone. I really can't afford one.

Now . . . who deserves a cookie?

Actually tired
Wednesday, November 28, 2001 01:53 a.m.

Finally got onto BAPS, hmm I should link them, maybe tommorow, which is today, cause I'm tired.

Funny how even when ranting the people on that list are so level headed - using *gasp* logic. Which makes me feel a lot better now for some reason - like things are in perspective. Still about 900 posts behind. I'm still on Monday.

So do I go watch Zoids now (3rd to last episode noooooo!) or go to sleep? Damn Zoids has been a fun little show . . . I shall miss it.

Think I shall head to my room now regardless. Hmmm Zoids sounds oddly good . . . so does sleep . . . but Bit-tachi . .

Raging at the nothingness
Tuesday, November 27, 2001 10:54 p.m.

Was it as dreadful as I feared? No. Am I still annoyed by "Wrecked", yup.

Howevery I am far more annoyed at Yahoo Groups - which has been signing me off every three seconds - making it impossible to read my web only groups - including BAPS - which I haven't read since early Monday - and hence am insanely behind. We're talking like over 1000 messages behind.

The loons are in full force on IRC tonight. And I really should get stats done. And decide what I'm doing . . .

Sinking feeling
Tuesday, November 27, 2001 02:37 a.m.

As I try so hard to not read what happens on tonight's Buffy, I still have this sinking feeling about the episode. It started with a random line I read in reaction to a post about it - no details, but, now I can't shake this feeling of moderate dread.

Happier note - I broke down and bought the last Sailor Moon manga I needed in Japanese. I can now go buy vol. 11 of the English version with a clear conscience. Now if only Shinesman 5 would turn up at Book-off, grrr.

CLAMP has gone off the deep-end. The latest installments of X seem to prove that. Finally saw the first ep of the TV anime, quote nifty. Now to find the time to watch eps 2-8. :P

And it occurs to me its almost 3 am and I haven't watched today's Zoids ep. Oops!

The bottom line:

Being an obsessive collector is hazardous to any budget. Being an obsessive collector of many things will not end well. Being an obsessive collector who refuses to sell anything she isn't collecting anymore - well, figure it out.
