RP: Oh yeah, you were complaining you weren't able to find that. Aren't the LEs harder to find and more expensive?

M : Yup, this one was $ 33.40 at Kinokuniya

RP : THIRTY-THREE FOURTY?? What the heck makes a freaking manga THAT expensive!

M : Well, its already 2200 yen in Japan, cause it has a
50 unit phone card included.

RP : ...

RP : A phone card? One which does not work outside Japan?

M : errr, yeah

RP : $ 33.40 still seems high

M : Its from an airmail shipment - so on top of the usual markup, they tack on some more. Course - that didn't
include the tax.

RP : What? So it was more?

M : Well, yeah, but it was NJ not NYC tax, so it was only $2 more on top. 6% not 8.25%

RP : You find strange ways to justify things . . . wait a
minute - you went to Jersey to get it? Doesn't that cost you money?

M : They didn't have it in the city! And its just to Mitsuwa.
They have the $ 2 shuttle!

RP: $ 2 . . . each way?

M : . . . yeah and . . .

RP : AND?

M : I took my brother along so . . .

RP : Are you crazy? That meant it cost you $ 8 just to go
get it and get home!

M : But it sucks going to Mitsuwa by yourself!

RP : So in the end, you spent a total of $ 43.40 on
one volume of manga?

M: I guess.

RP : You really are insane, you know that right?
