ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

I need sleep. But I got Pretear 1 today, so I'm happy (also got Chobits 3 w/ postcard holder and Big O 5.) I'm so behind on my TV veiwing from last week - forget digisubs or DVDs, sigh.

Sleep now.

I suck. I went to AWA and forgot to update this - got back and forgot to update this and am now insanely tired - and hence am not really updating this.

More after I give Chris the report I owe him.

Sigh

What a week its been. Here I thought things were messed up when all my pages went down to a sudden server switch. Of course, that was nothing.

The complete destruction of the WTC Towers is an odd event in my life. On the one hand, I am extremely connected to it. This happened in the city I live in. Those were buildings that were about as old as I am. They've always been there. On the other hand - it is all far away. I hadn't been in them since I was a small child, the closest I'd been was right before Otakon - we met to get on the bus near tower #2.

So while I'm horrified, the need to just keep living my life over rules things. I have to. I have to get up and go to work, and rehersals, and buy my comics, and make my lists and watch anime till all hours and so on. And in under a week, I have to get on a plane.

My heart goes out to everyone directly and indirectly involved. And I thank the stars that everyone I know seems to be safe.

Here is hoping that common sense will prevail in the days to come.

ARGHHHHH!!!!

If you somehow stumbled here be warned - all my wuv.org pages are down - as is that e-mail, which especially sucks since its my official contact e-mail for the play.

Which I'm in, go figure. "Female Admirer" I have one small sequence of lines. Funny as hell though. Or it should be anyway.

Now to go throttle Merli till he gets the pages up again or something.

Have to escape the office!! PLAY!

Sunday, September 9, 2001 02:55 a.m.

I have finished Utena

Go me.

Giant thanks to NeoAlus, who provided the episodes so Gareth and I could finally finish seeing the series. I've known for years what happens, but I needed to see it.

So what did I think? I think the show is highly messed up, I can't beleive they got away with some of the stuff they did! Course, it was great too. And I love Ruka. Damn it! I wish he'd been in more episodes. Ruka ruled. Cool hair. And that was just for starters. *Mariela sighs*

Two things done today : Finished the Akio arc and caught up on GALS. Akio Arc (Utena for those who don't know) has seriously messed with my brains. I knew what was going happen - I was following the show as it aired in Japan - but seeing it! O_o;

As for GALS - there is just something amusing about being able to say I've seen every single episode aired in Japan thus far. Pity I'm behing on Fruits Basket again!

Wednesday, September 5, 2001 04:25 a.m.
I have finished the Black Rose Saga in Utena at last. Whoo.

I'm going to sleep now.

The thing that sucks about being freelance - no vacation days or holidays. So while I get today off - I also earn no money for it.

Which is a reminder I really need to figure out what my work schedule is going to be anyway.

I am oddly enough running out of anime to watch that I've never seen before in some form or the other. Save me.

Ahhh the Jin-Roh OST at last. I've love the music from this series since I first heard it, what seems an eternity ago at that anime symposium when we were among the first to ever see the movie. Months later I learned that Hajime Mizoguchi - PSME, Escaflowne was the composer and I wanted it all the more. Of course, with the movie not being out in Japan even there was no OST.

But last year the movie did finally come out in Japan and the OST came out - and it seemed no con I went to ever had it, and many online stores kept being out of it. The horror! No more! It is mine, mine at last!

And is it worth it? Oh you bet it is.

Lovely X OVA pic

I have seen the X OVA, yup yup, saw it Wednesday actually. I was actually impressed by it. Yuuki Ueda is awesome as Kakyou! One would hope since he says almost every line in the OVA. Its a weird little thing, since it spoils several points - though not if you've read the manga. The animation looks so nice.

Now go look at the picture I linked for a teensy sample. heh heh heh.

I'm not going to school. For the first time in 22 years, September is coming and I won't be at school. I feel oddly empty.

Sunday, August 26, 2001 02:39 a.m.
I will finish this St. Tail review and mail it to Chris, oh yes I will. And I will do that Princess Nine one as well. Somehow.

I was happy to see P9 rather well recieved at the club ^_^ Book-off afterwards added to my happiness - Gravi 1-2, 6, a Miwa Ueda artbook, a really cool Hameln book that was only $3 (!) and a cute mini set of Hamutaro stationary. Hamster wuv!

That is what I need on this page - an ultra kawaii hamster.

To school or not to school, that is the question. And considereing classes start on Monday - I better hurry up and come up with an answer!

I really wish cons would put up general hours at least. I'm not asking for a full schedule by any means, but a general idea of what time things will start on the first day and what time things will end on the last day would really really help when making travel plans!

So hungry, wonder when people will come back so I can sneak out my lunch?

Monday, August 20, 2001 03:17 p.m.
Blehh, I've been remiss in updating haven't I? My apologies. Post-con blahs, coupled with a heavy dose of reality avoidment.

Now my cable modem is down, sigh. And work is just work, and yet I seem to lack the energy to write a resume.

Oh, and my MKR2 disc 7 seems messed up too.

The bottom line:

Being an obsessive collector is hazardous to any budget. Being an obsessive collector of many things will not end well. Being an obsessive collector who refuses to sell anything she isn't collecting anymore - well, figure it out.
