I apologize for this long overdue update, but I just quit my job at TXDHS (i.e., Texas Department of Human Services) back on Friday, 12-17-04. The problem is that not only I have to wait in weather conditions such as Hot and Humid to all the way back to Cold and Freezing, but I have to put up with overcrouded passengers. BTW, being paid $5.25 for a check that you can get your paycheck on/around the 10th and 25th of every month is CHUMP CHANGE!!!!

I need to calm myself down. Back on Oct 2nd., I've officially went on my diet (courtesy of the Wish Center, and boy I've never felt better. I have lost, as of this typing, 23lbs. I'm going to have gastric-bypass (i.e., stomach-stapling) surgery sometime in Feburary, 2005. Right now, I'm undergoing 6 weeks of pre-operitive therepy with my next appointment to take place on either Wedsnday or Thursday.

By the time you've arrived onto this paragraph, I'm currently unemployed and I won't return to job searching until about 8 weeks after the surgery.

I'm miffed at Netflix right now. Earlier today, I've finally got Vol. 1 of the DVD, Wedding Peach (or Legendary Love Angel Wedding Peach) in the mail. My Sony DVD player kept on freezing during the first half of Episode 1, that I've decided to sent it back with a request for another copy of said DVD. This rarely happens ever since I got my own DVD player last November. I should've considered getting a universal CD/DVD cleaning kit when I had the chance. Maybe sooner than later.

On a brighter note, being July 30th, today is the birthday of one of the greatest jazz performers that I had the honor of seeing in person 7 years ago as of 9/17/2004: David Sanborn. Happy Birthday, David.

Lance Armstrong does it again! He wins his 6th, record-breaking Tour de France earlier today. He even took time to have pics taken of both him and his girlfriend, rocker Sheryl Crow, who's been at his side since Day 1.

This has got to be one Kodak moment to cherish for generations to come.
