Paraskevidekatriaphobia...... Maybe there is something to the fear of Friday the thirteenth. I mean if a woman bleeds 13 times a year then it follows that she PMS's that frequently too. I'm shaking in my size thirteen boots.

Enquiring minds want to know.... Who comes up with the words you are required to type, in order to prove you are a real person, when leaving comments at some blogs? Why do television reporters speak with inflection on certain words, thereby implying grave seriousness, even in the most inane stories? Did they all go to the same school? Why do people in public positions continually say things they must know will come back to haunt them, and why do they not fess up when the time comes? Surely you'd remember explaining on tape for all the world to see and hear, that you lack the qualifications for the job you are now accepting. Why do American bloggers I read all support gay rights and yet the country as a whole seems not to? Which leads to an even bigger question...why is it even an issue in this day and age?

Sperm bank suspends collections in Toronto; with no payment, donations dry up.... Stores of Canadian sperm in sperm banks across the country are drying up, which will soon force hopeful parents to turn entirely to U.S. sperm. Since Canada's Assisted Human Reproduction Act made it illegal to pay for reproductive tissues, donors are staying away in droves, said Holly Fowler of Xytex, one of the largest North American sperm banks. "We've had so much trouble, we've had to suspend sperm collection operations in Toronto," she said. Xytex used to pay $65 per donation and sold the treated sperm for $220 to $360 per half-millilitre. Now it has to rely on donors' altruism, which is not working, she said. There are about 12 months worth of Canadian sperm left at Xytex. A loophole in the act allows Canadians to pay for sperm and eggs from the United States, where donors are paid.....(Jonathan Woodward, CanWest News Service) Gives new meaning to the term "money shot".
