I watched an excellent film tonight on our provincial PBS style network called Obachan's Garden. It was so good that if I had an extra $20 I'd buy a copy and send it on a blog tour. However since I'm a starving student, the link above will have to do. Hmmm, now there's an idea....sharing videos you like with fellow bloggers...or has it been done already?

I mentioned something in Christine's blog comments about the chicken palace I was building. She wanted to know if I meant a house for real chickens. Yes Christine, there is a chicken. Well eight of them actually. Other than dining at the Kernel's, this is my first experience with chickens so I'm quite excited. We've been busy constructing a suitable dwelling for the little darlings. The run will be finished tomorrow and we pick the girls up on Saturday morning. I'm considering naming the palace.....Rockinronnie's Chicken Ranch has a certain ring to it but I'm open to suggestions. Oh and in case any of my anti-animal consumption friends are concerned after my reference to the Kernel, let me reassure you, the girls will be pampered and lovingly taken care of. Their eggs will be the only part of them consumed by humans. Pictures to follow soon.
