If you have five minutes, read on, if you don't, drop back again, I'll try not to make a habit of this. Pardon my grammer, punctuation and form Spike, this is about content...I will however use spellcheck............

You had to be there.....
I told someone yesterday that I was considering changing the colour of my text here, to blue. Yea I know, small steps. Later, as I surfed through blogdom, I had one of those burned out light bulb moments when I realized, my text is already blue. This latest memory lapse reminded me of the time, one of my daughters was home visiting, and took notice of some pill bottles I had on the table. My long legged blonde being an ex-hippy, always has me on some combination of roots and herbs that are suppose to make up for my misspent youth. When my daughter asked why I took Ginko Baloba, I told her I couldn't remember. Just then my blonde came in, and I asked in my innocent(dumb) male voice, why I was taking the Ginko. In between fits of laughter from the kitchen floor, she managed to mumble that it was to improve my memory. We all lost it at that point...still makes me chuckle when I think of it. Hmmmmmm....now why was I telling you this?

Click for a daydream

affluenza (AF.loo.en.zuh) n. An extreme form of materialism in which consumers overwork and accumulate high levels of debt to purchase more goods (affluence + influenza).

What is ylang ylang?

Who are they? As in..."they did a study".

Why is this news?

Secret's out, or, the real reason Sonja's in the States. Apparently she's there to try out for the next American Idol. Go have a listen....she sounds like a royal spice girl. We are amused.

Book of the month club.....

Three good reads I've just finished.....they're either about, or written by, women.... how can you go wrong.

Desirable Daughters by Bharati Mukherjee

The Nanny Diaries by Emma McLaughlin + Nicola Kraus

The Seven Daughters of Eve by Bryan Sykes
This last one is a fascinting explanation of DNA, and how we can all trace our ancestry back to one of seven women. He manages to make science interesting, and although it's a tad pricey, he and Oxford have set up a site where you can have your DNA tested, and find out which clan you belong to. Unless of course you've been on Maury Povich and already know your DNA sequence, then you can simply use the site's database to find your clan.

Play safe boys and girls.......ciao.

Had to add this...if you want a good laugh, go check out this movie clip on Dawn's blog. If you're bandwidth challenged, it might be slow, but is well worth the wait.

While you were out.....

After a fun filled week of Harry Potter games and ketchup on everything, it's good to be back in the adult world. And so many changes while I was away...must be spring. By the look of Spike's apartment photo, he's been spring cleaning, and Susan(Flowerhead) moved clean across the country to Minnesota. Kimberly and Lauren have both spring cleaned their layouts, and talk about change, Lauren is graduating on Saturday, wahoooo....congratulations! Speaking of congratulatory notes, I'm not one to gossip(much), but rumour has it that Susan(Bob the Corgi) has been seen shopping at Babies R Us.

Rockinronnie's pick for blog of the week is..whateverisay. Katie is very funny, and what's not to like about someone that keeps a sense of humour while living in the mullet capital of the world.

Some cows for Susan, from the neighbourhood where I spent last week. They didn't look mad, but the sheep in the next pasture were acting a little edgy.

Ooooops, almost forgot, Kimberly mentioned being bored with the net, why not drop by and give her your favourites.
