current music: Feeling Fine (30X) - L'arc-en-ciel
For the L'arc-en-ciel fans out there, here's my review for their latest album SMILE.
Track 01 is called 接吻 (Seppun) or literally translated is KISS. At first I didn't like the song but eventually this song captured my heart. The bass is expertly played by Tetsu (no surprise there) and this slow song has some western background in it. At the opening of the song, I was reminded of those western films (you know the cowboy stuff) and eventually, melody develops into a full blast romance song (but I don't know the lyrics yet). Hyde's powerful vocals still demonstrates it's diversity as he shifts to the high notes easily. (words: hyde/music: ken)
Track 02 is the ever famous READY STEADY GO. This was one of their single for this album and it came with a Tetsuless, Kenless and Yukihiroless version in which the song was still played but the member's part in the song was removed. Now don't fret, even it was removed, it's still good music to listen to. As for the song, it is a fast-paced song in which all of the talents of L'arc-en-ciel was really displayed like Tetsu's expertise in playing the bass, Ken's great Guitar Tabs, Yuki's excellent drumming and of course Hyde's beautiful falsetto. And with Ken's openning piano and Tetsu's back up vocals reminds me of it's pop-ish tunes mixed with rock that immediately took my heart when I heard it. Now why I wasn't surprised when I learned that it was composed by Tetsu? *grins* (words: hyde/music: tetsu)
Track 03 of the SMILE is Lover Boy. This song is leaning over to the Rock side of the group with the more ever famous guitar tabs of Ken. Yuki's drumming skills was limited to the hi-hat and snare with an occasional rolling but he played it beautiful and met the melody quite nicely. The bass of Tetsu is overpowered by Ken's guitar (or am I deaf already?) Anyway, I need to hear this a few more times before I eventually like the song entirely but the chorus is already is catchy to me. (words & music: ken)
Track 04 is Feeling Fine *grins*. The opening song reminds me of one of 浜崎あゆみ's songs and then the fast pop-ish tune of the song develops and make you happy with anything. Hyde's somewhat childish voice is perfect in the song and with chorus as catchy as this, I wouldn't be surprised that the fans would love it. And with the lines of "I am feeling fine" and "Loving you make me happy everyday" will make your heart melt and be happy even if you are sad. I definitely love this song. (words: hyde/music: ken)
Track 05 is called Time Goes On and this is a slow paced song can make the day feel peaceful and calm. The opening is already peaceful and Hyde's tranquil voice makes the song light but full of melody. This still has it's pop-ish tune and Tetsu's back-up vocals in the chorus makes it more pop-ish (sorry Tetsu fans) and great guitar tabs coupled with an acoustic guitar and bass lines makes this an excellent song for everyday relieving of stress. Although I was a bit suprised that this was composed by Tetsu. (words & music: tetsu)
Track 06 is Coming Closer and I can say that this is rock and reminds me of Hyde's Another Side. Hyde's powerful but beautiful voice empowers the melody and makes the song appear more rock-ish than it should be. The chorus is always opened with "coming closer" line and background voices makes it much different from the other rock songs that L'arc-en-ciel made. The song may be rock but it will end with a violin part that softens everything out that somewhat's leave the rock-ish tune behind. (words: hyde/music: ken)
Track 07 in the SMILE album is called 永遠 (Eien) or translated to Eternity. This is another rock-ish sound of L'arc-en-ciel but a little more slow paced rather than the previous track. This might be a romantic song with rock-ish tune. Frankly, this song is the least favorist of the album. Hyde's voice is somewhat dull and fades to the background as the instruments overlapped it. But maybe time is all I need to make this another one of my favorite songs. I was somewhat disapointed when I learned that Hyde composed this song. (words & music: hyde)
Track 08 bears the title REVELATION. Yes, another of their rock-ish tunes and this reminds me of their track 01 song, >接吻. Still, Hyde's powerful voice carries in the music well and in the chorus, you will hear Tetsu's shout of "revelation" and "whoo". Also it is very catchy and there's a definite Yukihiro signature in it as he used some of techno in it. (words: hyde/music: yukihiro)
Trach 09 is their another famous song 瞳の住人 (Hitomi no Juunin) or roughly translated to In you eyes. This is another single that was released before of the album and the opening of the song reminds me of those 1970's anime of Daimos and Voltes V. this song also reminds me of Anemone with the violing rendition in the middle of the song. I don't really know why but the song is slow paced and you can feel the romance in it (now I don't know the lyrics as of yet). And the song is really beautiful and Hyde demostrated how high he can go with his falsetto and boy, he can really hit those high notes. At first I cringe at how he sings the second chorus since the high notes are pretty high. You might not fell in love with the song the first time but eventually you will love it like the rest. (words: hyde/music: tetsu)
The last song of the album is the oldest single being included here with the title Spirit Dreams Inside. This song is used for the Final Fantasy: Spirit Dreams Within movie. This is really a nice way to end the album with an old and familiar tune which carries the album pretty well. (words & music: hyde)
Ok, now I am addicted to Feeling Fine. And I probably be putting up a album of the month in Red Snow.

current music: The Final - Dir en Grey (100+ times)
Came from the training and I can only say one things: I can't believe that people are teasing me again with a guy!!!!
Yeah it's true I'm bisexual and I'm not ordinary and they said that I am a challenge to men. Yeah right, like I would be fawning over them in the first place (well there are exceptions of course to the rule like bishounen guys
)
Besides, I don't even like the guy! It's true that he's kinds cute (kinds is emphasized here), and that's only ppositive things that I can see in him.
for one things, he calls his girlfriend syota, and I don't really like the term. I mean, syota was form because of the guys having one night stands and it's some sort of a Filipino lingo for short time
and he always saying stupid things that are not supposed to be said.... If times are going to be like this often then I might be stating that I'm a full fledge lesbian!
Training is as boring as usual and I'm still high from all the sugar that I consumed (meaning the candies and chocolates that was given as a prize
Yeah, I'm going to stay later than usual because I'm going to burn cds for my friends and the persons who want to buy some pirated cds from me.
Now off to work.

Someone casually mentioned that they are laughing over the fact that the domain that is hosting one of my websites is named Butterfly Sleep.
So I casually blurted out that if they don't like the site and if they like to laugh at it then maybe they shouldn't visit it all. I don't regret stating that and I would gladly take the site off if it makes them stop laughing.
Not to mention I'm a little sick right now and it's my red flag. So f**k off!

Now I'm a little bit happy. A little bit. Oh yeah, I'll probabaly go as Kiyoharu in Animax on April 03. No I'm not going to participate in the cosplay. Me, Tetsuki, Hazel & Ria will just stand in the sidelines and just walk around. So Kiyoharu, Tetsu, Hide and Hyde are going to roam around Glorietta on April 03. *lol* Well, that was the plan. I need to contact Noelle regarding my pants.
Or maybe I'll be going as Youka of Clothoid Doll. If you don't know her, just search it in google.^^
That's all for now. Rien signing off.

>another poem<
current mood:
depressed
current music: Love Replica - x japan
I made a poem while I was in the Meeting Room having a CMM Meeting (don't ask). I'm still contemplating if I will be putting this in my website. Maybe, but not today.
MASKS
a happy one for my friends
a sad one for my heartbreaks
a gloomy ones for the red flags
a pained one for my everyday aches
a loving mask for my lover
an angry mask for betrayal
a confused mask for questions building
how many masks are there in me?
a shocked one for unespected revelation
hurried mask was used for running away
wetness has washed every mask that i've used
replaced by a blank one tainted in red.
Yes, I will never stop writing something wih angst.

>empty tears<
current mood:
depressed
current music: empty tears - tetsu69
A translation of EMPTY TEARS by TETSU69. This is a song that represents my feeling right now.
EMPTY TEARS
Tetsu69
Happy times of yesterday are twisted like lies; I can't see it?
How should I fill up the emptiness of this chest?
Despite tracing your silhouette with my finger
all I can feel is pain and unending loneliness
The unnoticing manner which has consecutively been pointed out
that's because I don't want to believe; I merely wanted to escape
empty tears
That which flows aren't tears; they are thoughts that can't be conveyed
Dreams that are destroyed by oppression fall; they dance beside my feet
Things that will once again make you happy
are to me what I can't do or don't want to understand!
Abandonment is but unconveyable
It's too late; all that is left are phantoms
empty tears
Happy times of yesterday are twisted like lies; I can't see it
How should I fill up the emptiness of this chest?
That which flows aren't tears; they are thoughts that can't be conveyed
Dreams that are destroyed by oppression fall; they dance beside my feet
