Last night in Atlanta, will be flying back there by Saturday, 11 am US time. But before I go, I have pics to share -- might be the last pics until I I am safely in the Philippines shores. :P

Actually it's not simple rain. When I looked outside, there are ice inlcuded in the rain there! O.o Robert said it was sleet.

I have been waiting forever for the shuttle last night so when Robbie offered me a ride home, I didn't think twice. Just told the hotel front desk that I got tired of waiting. So while waiting, I tok pictures of the building and anything that I can take pictures on XD

I forgot to post what happend with out last Fatboy in the office. The Fatboy is like a bonding merienda every friday with our Team. We get our fundes from our salary. We shell out 500 Php every payday so we can go out every friday. So last friday was the Fatboy and sort off despedida party for me since I'm going to Atlanta the next day.

Well, since my trip to Maryland, Baltimore didn't pushed through, I decided to go to the nearest mall and supermarket. Actually, there's a mall nearby which I decided to walk to it and take pictures.

My bed in the hotel -- the bed is big that I only use half of it XD

This was a path towards the forest area beside the sidewalk. You just have to jump over the road barrier. I was tempted to go, but I don't want to get lost especially if you're alone in a country :P

Actually, I like walking here, it's not that hot -- even at noon time and the sidewalks are spacious, there's so many trees around. Hell, the drivers here are courteous to pedestrians that when I was crossing the road where that street sign can be found, I haven't lifted a foot to step on the street and the cars already stop before I do anything -- urging me to walk now. O.o

I was talking to one of my counterpart yesterday (Monday) and I noted about the drivers here and I compared it to our drivers in the Philippines. Jana (my counterpart) said that here in the US, the law is that pedestrians are have the right to walk on the steet, so most of the US citizens who drive here are letting the pedestrians walk rather than not doing it and there's a cop around the corner nd saw it. *lol* Reminds me of MMDA actually. :P

Grocery shopping desu! Went to Publix-Old Milton Grocery. Might be going back on Friday or maybe I'll go to Walmart instead.

@ Robert: CPK Frozen Pizza! Actually I was tempted to buy it since I have a microwave inside my hotel room. *lol* Decided to try another TV Dinner instead XD

Then last Monday my training started and Jana Hobbes (one of the SQA counterpart in the US) toured me in the office. I've met the others, whom I forgot their names but I got to meet the PM of MY PM, which is Randy Burnette. Jana treated me lunch and then talked about her diet and her sons -- one is playing baseball and the other one is creating a Robot.

Met Allison Patch who taught me about the Perfomance Testing for one of the terminals and let me do something before the day ends.

And then Edna Raupp invited me to go along with her and Allan Miller nd Jeri Brooke to have dinner. I accepted and we went to this restaurant and me and Edna drank beer -- lite of course, didn't drink vodka or whatever. :P Allan and Jeri was drinking Red Wine.

We were talking about Fishing, Wines, even when my PM was here and with them. Allan had so many stories about Peter -- especially the one when he drank Red Wine and then... *lol*

After which Edna went home, I went with Allan and Jeri because we are staying in the same hotel as well. Allan needed some things so we decided to go to Wal-Mart. Ohhh -- Wall Mart~! I didn't take pictures though. :P

Allan said that once a year, I might be going to the US for a visit since the North American Team always want to have a sort off reunion once a year and the whole team goes to Atlanta just to hang around.

So, even if I didn't have the chance to go to places here, there's always next year. XD

Anyways, there's some funny experience I would like to share with you peeps.

I was nervous when I got to the Minneapolis Airport and the person who was suppose to interview me for customs was funny. After asking why I was there, he started talking to me in Filipino. Oh no, he's not Filipino, he just know a few words or so. Here's an excerpt of what we were talking about:

Man: Napakaganda mo naman (with accent --;)
Me: Are you flattering me?
Man: Ah, oo. Ingat ka sa mga lalaki dito. Sira-ulol sila. (with accent --;)
Me: Erm, does that include you, sir? *snicker*
Man: No, No, I'm alright

*lol* After that, my passport was returned and went to the connecing flight from Minneapolis to Atlanta.

After that, when I went to Publix-Old Milton Supermarket, the packaging guy was a Filipino and we talked in Filipino. It was so nice to see Filipino in a foreign company. The taxi that brought me to Publix works part time for Verifone since he sells the terminal. He was happy that if I needed a ride, he gave me his taxi number and I can call their Terminal and ask for him for pick up.

The only thing I like when going back to the hotel is the bubble bath that I always take. The hot water is heaven -- it relaxes me and like last night, I almost slept in it. XD

Nevertheless, I finally got to watch Cassanova and Aquamarine in the plane. I do wish they had shown horror but I don't think they do show those :P

The walkway goes on and one and on.... Robert warned me that in the US, the terminals are so big and you have to look for the Gate Number of your flight before you go wandering around. Wait til you see how they do it in Atlanta :P

When I was in the Minneapolis Terminal, I was so cold, I bought a White Chocolate Mocha in Starbucks. When I got my drink, I was disappointed about it. --; Gah it was so bitter -- too much coffee I think. I was used to the taste of White Chocolate Mocha here that tastes so sweet. T-T I didn't finished it and threw it out.

Anyways, am off to the Verifone office and start with my training.

Since I did promised pictures when I went to Japan, so here are some pictures for you peeps to enjoy. The next entry will be when I went to Minneapolis and waited for my connecting flight to Atlanta ^^

So after the landing, I'm in Japan at long last. And since I need to act professional and not jump around giddily as I enter the airport, I snapped some pics and ate lunch. I got there about 30 mins earlier than my schedule, about 12:15 pm -- Japan Time. My connecing flight would be from Japan to Minneapolis and it would leave at 3:50 pm (Japan Time), so I have couple hours to roam around and see what they have to offer. :D

My lunch which consists of Gyoza, Mushroom Ramen and Orange Juice -- all costs 1,300 Yen, I think.

Here's the internet cafe where I surfed. 100 Yen for 10 minutes, which I think it's expensive.

As of now, I'm finished with one project ... until the developer had fixed the defects that I reported today and some previous ones. Apparently, most of my team mates were impressed, even the developer that I am harassing for the recent release. XD

Anyways, Robert lend me his camera for the trip on Saturday (haven't packed yet *lol*), and took pics.

Ahaha, me and some other members of our spamming session in google groups had our second outing for the year (wow, last year 1 outing lang tayo ah XD). Me, Robert, Manang She, Kuya Paul, Louie, Roel, Arnold, Tanix, Kero and Akira went to Tagaytay and have some fun under the sun (even if the it was cloudy and any moment it would rain XD)

Anyways, we decided to go to Picnic Grove, Manang She is in charge with the Baked Mac (which she decided to make it Tuna Baked Mac) and I'm in charge of the Sandwhich *snicker* and it was Veggie Sandwhich -- which makes all of our food are healthy XD The other guys bought the drinks and junk food.

We spend there about 4-5 hours although I regret of not joining some people in walking around and stayed playing Manang She's Nintendo DS. I was so engrossed with playing Ouendan since there's songs from L'arc-en-ciel, Morning Musume and another song from Drummania (I don't know what the title is :P).
