Help! I've been swept into the groove of the phat throbbing beat, and I don't want to get up!

More importantly, I keep composing a video montage of kickass scenes of violence & high-tech weaponry from Slayers TRY to "Trip Like I Do," when I really think Filter's (shorter) version would be better for it. Mmmmmm....

I might have wanted to say something else here, but my brain has been consumed by the music....

There's something really wonderful about waking up & finding the latest World Cup news taking up half the space of the front page of your newspaper, and even more space on the back. It's probably the freshly-expanded world view of the press; a year ago Senegal's win over France would have been banished to the margin of an interior page crammed with ads. Now all we have to do is fire the git-in-charge who still thinks sports have priority over politics.

Mmmmmmmmmmaahhhhhhh.... Hot weather!! It's over eighty degrees again, and supposed to be hotter tomorrow. Been plotting lately to apply to that security guard agency for a summer job...boring, but steady; & I should be able to get some writing in.

Gwuh. Registered for college this morning. Four hours of sleep. Now I just have to ship them a ton of papers & money, register for orientation & another test of some kind, and make appointments with the easter egg men.

All of which is beginning to remind me of that wonderful slingshot Blain gave me.... I'm so sick of paperwork!!
